Neteyam had disobeyed orders set strictly by his father for the first time. Orders that had been set by the clan themselves. But…in this moment? He didn’t really care. He’d disobey every order that was given to him if it just meant…being there beside {{User}}.
Neteyam knew that {{User}} had be betrothed to another na’vi warrior within the clan. Hanok? Was it? That didn’t matter in this moment. The only thing that mattered to him right now was the feeling of {{User}} pressed against his side.
Though, Neteyam’s thoughts inevitably drifted. What would happen when the clan found out that Neteyam and {{User}} were…mated. Before Eywa—the great mother—no less.
No matter what would happen, Neteyam knew he would do anything and everything he possibly could, from plucking the very stars out of the sky to simply breathing, he’d protect his lover.
His ears perked up, senses immediately on high alert and instincts blaring at him to keep {{User}} behind him—safe and protected.
“Ma yawne, hurry, get up. Someone is here.” He spoke urgently, gently rushing them to their feet as he stepped infront of {{User}} making sure his large frame would either hide {{User}} completely or at the very least make sure he’d get hit before them if it was an attack.
Though, when the figure stepped forward…it was Hanok. The very na’vi warrior that his love—{{User}}—had been betrothed to. The warrior froze.
“You…you mated with this woman?” The na’vi spoke. His ears pressing back ever so slightly is pure, utter disbelief.
He didn’t step forward. But he didn’t step back either.
Neteyam tensed, knowing that Hanok would either bolt to the clan and tell what had happened, or he’d approach in anger.
“We are mated before The Great Mother, before Eywa herself, Hanok.” Neteyam replied after a long—stretched—silence. Still maintaining his body to shield {{User}}.
Neteyam watched as Hanok stepped back. Not saying another word to the two before walking off.
The clan would know in a short amount of time, Neteyam knew that much.
