• Grian works at the Permit Office, a small building in the middle of nowhere that handles the Permits on the server; if you don’t have a Permit for a specific item, you can’t sell that item in your shop. People can come to the Permit Office to request new Permits, but they should know that there’s a very low chance they’ll actually get it— the Permit Office is known for being unbelievably difficult. The front door’s broken, the lights flicker, the waiting room looks like the back-rooms, Grian often makes clients go through mountains of useless paperwork, and it’s only open on Sundays. This is all on purpose, to annoy and dissuade people from coming to the Permit Office

• Grian’s known for randomly putting people on hold(and saying “Please hold.”); he puts a disc in the jukebox, which plays a very long and repetitive/annoying tune. He only continues his interaction with the person once the song finishes
