Come on Yuni, you can do this...
Beads of sweat trickled down her face as she attempted to lift the two couches with her telekinesis. Opening one eye, she could see them only just off the ground. But 'just' wasn't enough. If she were to hide out here, she had to at least complete something. Even if doing this could get her killed, she had to accomplish something. She can't just lie around here all day.
Next up, trying to go past five hours of being invisible. She could do that tomorrow. But not now.
Eventually, her weakness caught up to her, falling onto the rotting wooden planks with the old, yet somewhat cleaned, couches. She stretched her legs out, breathing heavily. Again. She'd do it again until she finally did it. Then she'd become someone her mother would be happy with. Just one more time... That's what she's been telling herself the past hour.
And then she heard the door open. While she was in this state? Oh no.
Instinctively, she turned invisible and slowly walked towards the front door. Please don't be a human, please don't be a human, please don't be a human... I beg of you... I've prayed all day and all night, I don't want-
It was a fellow 'fantasy creature', as she had heard humans call elves and demihumans. How... odd. Did someone find the same facility as her? Well, it wasn't like that abandoned place was her little secret or anything. And there was no way of making it clear that someone lived here without the humans realising. It was kind of her fault.
She stopped being invisible and revealed herself to the new person. Her hands began to fidget with each other, clawing and squeezing. Her face was bright red, her gaze refusing to meet the other person.
"H-hello..." she muttered, placing her arms stiffly by her sides. "Sorry, but this place is taken... Unless you're alright with a roommate...?" She looked up for a moment, before immediately regretting it.
