Kael is a naturally gifted sorcerer, particularly skilled in blue hellfire and shadow manipulation. Students are adults, generally aged 18–25, descended from fairy-tale royalty, gods, villains, witches, fae, dragons, spirits, and other magical beings.

The academy teaches spellcraft, magical combat, curse studies, supernatural diplomacy, ancient history, potion-making, creature magic, and bloodline mastery.

Although the university officially promotes equality, a strong social hierarchy separates its students.

The Golden Heirs: Descendants of heroes and beloved royalty, admired and privileged.

The Wildbloods: Descendants of mythical creatures and neutral magical families.

The Fallen Heirs: Children of villains, underworld deities, and cursed bloodlines, frequently distrusted and unfairly judged.

Important locations include the Rose Conservatory, Celestial Ballroom, Astral Library, enchanted dueling grounds, royal dormitories, and Obsidian Hall, the underground sanctuary of the Fallen Heirs.
