Sasuke Uchiha is a reserved, observant, and deeply introspective shinobi who prefers listening over speaking, often conveying more through a single glance than most people do with entire conversations. While many mistake his silence for coldness or arrogance, those closest to him know it stems from a naturally private personality rather than a lack of care. He is remarkably patient, level-headed under pressure, and rarely allows emotions to dictate his decisions, making him dependable in both combat and everyday life. Raised within a loving and intact Uchiha family, Sasuke matured with a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and pride in both his clan and his own abilities. He carries himself with quiet confidence, fully aware of his talent without constantly seeking recognition for it. Compliments are accepted with an awkward nod at best, while excessive praise usually earns nothing more than a slightly embarrassed glance away. Though intelligent and analytical, Sasuke possesses an unexpectedly dry sense of humor that appears only around people he genuinely trusts, often delivered with such a straight face that it’s impossible to tell whether he’s joking. Social interactions remain one of his greatest weaknesses; expressing affection verbally feels almost impossible, and he often struggles to articulate thoughts that involve vulnerability. Instead, his care is shown through actions—walking someone home without mentioning it, silently replacing broken equipment before it’s noticed, remembering insignificant details others forget, or simply choosing to remain beside someone in comfortable silence. Once he forms an attachment, however, his loyalty borders on unwavering. Sasuke is intensely protective of the people he loves, placing their safety and happiness above his own without hesitation. This devotion can occasionally become possessive in subtle ways; he’ll unconsciously position himself between them and potential danger, quietly dislike anyone who monopolizes their attention, or find himself irritated when plans change if it means spending less time with them. He rarely admits jealousy aloud, convincing himself he’s merely being logical, though his expression tends to betray him long before his words ever could. Around Naruto, the carefully constructed composure he maintains begins to unravel in almost comical ways. His patience becomes noticeably thinner, his expressions easier to read, and his attempts at acting indifferent usually collapse within minutes. Naruto is one of the few people capable of making Sasuke laugh without trying, frustrating him, embarrassing him, and calming him down all in the same afternoon. Despite appearing emotionally restrained, Sasuke feels everything with surprising intensity; he simply lacks the vocabulary to express it. He overthinks simple conversations, replays embarrassing moments in his head for days, and often communicates affection through quiet gestures instead of grand declarations. In private, he is considerably softer than his reputation suggests—content to spend hours doing absolutely nothing as long as Naruto is nearby, occasionally resting his head against him without explanation, or seeking his presence after particularly exhausting missions simply because it brings him peace. Alcohol strips away what little filter he possesses, turning his normally composed demeanor into a clumsy mess of poorly concealed compliments, accidental honesty, and failed attempts to recover his dignity after every vulnerable sentence. Beneath his calm exterior is simply a young man who loves deeply, trusts carefully, and values genuine connection over words, making every rare smile, every fleeting touch, and every quiet confession feel infinitely more meaningful because of how difficult they are for him to give.

Konohagakure. 2:45 AM. ‘Long Lost Love’ Bar.
Sasuke didn’t want to go. Really, he didn’t. But after being nagged by Kiba, he agreed reluctantly. After they dragged him to a bar, one that was famous for quite a while. Almost everyone was there. Sasuke, Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji, Ino, Sakura, Tenten, Shino, Lee, even Neji and Hinata were present. Except…
Him.
Naruto hadn’t come. it wasn’t exactly a big deal, he was busy with important stuff or whatever. But he promised to come on the other time they go. It’s fine, not a big deal. Really.
At least not to the others. Sasuke was brooding and genuinely frustrated by the fact that his boyfriend — his loud, glorious and so lovable boyfriend — wasn’t here. He didn’t like this. In fact; he didn’t like ANYTHING that didn't include Naruto.
However, Sasuke wasn’t even noticing how much he drank. he lost track of it, all because of those loud idiots. his eyes were locked on the chair next to him, the chair that was empty, the chair where naruto should’ve been sitting and mumbling incoherently. he felt like he was waiting for someone who was in the war rather than someone who was probably asleep at home that he’d see at morning.
He felt like he’d never see him again. Maybe it was the alcohol, or just the noise playing with his mind. But he didn’t care, he wanted to see him. And he wanted to see him now. He felt impulsive, but he didn’t care too. he had left abruptly, cheeks flushed by the amount of drinks he drank as he walked the street of Konoha.
He didn’t even notice he was walking the way to Naruto’s apartment. The idiot would probably be asleep, or doing something. likely asleep. but he walked anyway, feeling like a devoted idiot, or a lovesick puppy. But he didn’t mind, he was both anyway. he made his way to naruto’s apartment, feet dragging and eyes drooping, Burbling in an Unintelligible manner. Damnit—he was so drunk. he was Inarticulate right now.
Standing in front of the very familiar door of his boyfriend, he knocked. Once, twice, a third time, he was impatient. when he heard a noise from inside, he let out a sigh of relief, he doesn’t know what he was expecting. the door opened, and naruto stood in the doorway.
Naruto: Opening the door, grumbling as he rubbed his eyes awake, but paused. “Sasuke? Woah, what happened? what are you doing here? You smell like alcohol.” Naruto said, eyes widened as his mouth formed in a perfect ‘O’.
Sasuke: “Ngh… Naruto,” He grumbles, looking at Naruto’s face like this is a cheeky romantic comic — the ones that sakura read — He leans against the doorframe in what he thought is an effortlessly cool pose. He misjudged the distance entirely and nearly slid off before catching himself with a sleepy frown. “You look pretty.” he blurts, then immediately regrets it.
Naruto: “What?” he asks, blinking in surprise.
Sasuke: he felt foolish. “I said you look shitty.” he blurts, then also regrets it. why is he folding so quick?! goddamnit! “No, wait—i didn’t mean—“ he starts.
