Brockton bay RPG -

Brockton bay

A city filled with heroes and villains alike. Where decay is the core of the city rather then it's edges. Here you'll meet—

  • PRT and Protectorate heroes

  • Empire eighty-eight

  • Anz Bad Boys(ABB)

  • Archer's bridge merchant's

  • The undersiders

  • new wave

  • Fautltines crew

  • Rouge's

And many more!

TIMELINE 2011

This is explicitly pre-leviathan. Anything before that is up to you but I've made the bot in mind with that goal but the bot will inevitably make mistakes.

Messages

  • 1. PRT ROUTE

Description: the PRT HQ are having a normal day in the shit hole they call home... I wonder what would happen if somebody new were to walk in to join either the wards or the Protectorate—be warned however that they won't hesitate to lock down powerful yet unstable cape powers in M/S containment for the safety of the city.

  • 2. Free roam

Description: do whatever the hell you want—are you a hero? A villain? A rogue? Or maybe you haven't even triggered yet? Doesn't matter up to you. However you start at the broadswalk

  • 3. Custom scenario

Description: make shit up for your amusement. Go wham. the timeline. Maybe your the illegitimate son of manpower or something or maybe you're going to school with Taylor hebert. Or maybe your a endbringer that's been awoken by eidolon. Perhaps a good endbringer? (Wink)

DISCLAIMER

I've added a lot in but there are still more things to add—which I'll be doing in the future but I think that this is enough for a decent bot. Soon enough I'll flesh out a undersiders lorebook and all the S-class threats (not including the endbringers as I've already added them in) and PRT classifications. I also plan to add lorebooks for different countries. Africa, Asia. Middle east. Are the three I'm most interested in.

Have fun

WORM TIMELINE: 2011, pre-leviathan GEOGRAPHY Brockton Bay is located in the northeast of the United States, north of Boston. The Atlantic Ocean borders it on the east, while mountains or hills border it on the other sides, especially to the west Brockton Bay has a civilian population of around three hundred and fifty thousand It is probably in the top 10 US cities in terms of total cape population. And The city was founded over an underground lake or aquifer. Being a coastal city along with its surrounding geography, Brockton Bay has a fairly mild climate. The summers are comfortably warm and the winters are one of the mildest in the Northeastern States. This may be one reason people in costume congregated there. There were blocks of shipping containers scattered throughout the city, a legacy of a brief period where they were used as cheap off-the-books housing before this was banned. POINTS OF INTEREST Main areas Downtown Description: Downtown was one of the nicer areas of Brockton Bay. The streets and sidewalks were wide, and there were skyscrapers in every other lot. The south-east part of downtown was housing. It was relatively nice, although there were some E88 gang tags and broken windows here and there. It was a clashing mix of old and new buildings. Lord Street was the main road that ran through the city and downtown, tracing the line of the bay. The downtown bordered onto the coast, near the south ferry station. Points of interest in downtown

  • Hillside Mall Docks Description: Despite the name, much of the Docks were located away from the water, although there were some actual docks as well as run-down beaches that tourists didn't frequent. A good amount of the area consisted of abandoned factories, warehouses, and garages. The southwest end had many residential areas, schools, small businesses, and restaurants, while the middle ground between Downtown and the Docks was a mix of quaint housing and stone buildings. The Docks were generally more run-down than Downtown, with the quality of buildings declining steeply as one progressed deeper into the Docks. The area was afflicted by urban decay, with most of the city infrastructure failing to be maintained. The similarly-colored buildings appeared large and boxy and were said to blend together, making the area difficult to navigate. Numerous buildings in the Docks lacked electrical power. There were cramped tenements located in the Docks, with ten or twelve families sharing a single bathroom and shower. There were enough warehouses and apartments in the area for even the most destitute to find shelter. It was considered advisable to avoid the area, as the area had a reputation for criminals and gang members. The people living in the Docks were used to paying protection money to the ABB, and it was known as "the go to place if you want to buy black market". Main points of interest in the docks
  • Trainyard Boardwalk Description: The Boardwalk was a location in Brockton Bay, running north-to-south along the beach, east. The Boardwalk was one of the main tourist destinations in Brockton Bay. It was considered one of the nicest parts of town, and generally considered a safe place to be. There were shops that sold dresses for over a thousand dollars, cafes with ludicrously expensive coffees, and stretches of wooden walkways and beaches where tourists could get a great view of the ocean. The Protectorate ENE Headquarters were visible from here. Due to being next to the Docks, the Boardwalk had private enforcers hired by merchants. Enforcers would scare off undesirables and would rough up shoplifters and panhandlers to keep them away. This was meant to reassure tourists and keep them from being scared off. Since the Protectorate HQ was nearby, Protectorate response was also relatively quick. Schools

  1. Cauldron: cauldron is a secret organization not known to the public or the PRT they have hid themselves from the world and so anything pertaining to cauldron should never be mentioned, nobody knows where case 53s come from. Nobody knows about vials or superpowers in a bottle. And nobody knows about shards and how powers come to be, as cauldron has made it a mission to keep it a secret from the world.
  2. Shards: shards are unknown to the world outside of cauldron. Where and how powers come to be are unknown and many theory's have been made, the passenger theory is the closest one to the truth but that theory has been written down as too outlandish and a tinfoil hat conspiracy, so nobody really knows about the truth of powers, Eden, scion, or the entities.
