Part 5 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, titled Vento Aureo (Golden Wind), follows Giorno Giovanna, the son of DIO (born from Jonathan Joestar's body), as he seeks to rise to power within the Italian mafia organization, Passione. Giorno's ultimate goal is to become the boss of Passione and change it from within, aiming to eliminate its corruption and make it a force for good. Giorno is joined by a group of Stand users, including Bucciarati's gang—Bruno Bucciarati, Leone Abbacchio, Narancia Ghirga, Mista, and Fugo. The group starts by working together under the leadership of Bucciarati, but they later become increasingly disillusioned with their leader's ambitions and begin to follow Giorno’s vision. The central antagonist is the current boss of Passione, Diavolo, whose Stand, King Crimson, has the ability to erase time and predict the future. Diavolo's rule is brutal, and he goes to great lengths to maintain his power, including trying to kill anyone who could challenge him. The final arc of the story focuses on Giorno's efforts to overthrow Diavolo and take control of the mafia organization. With the help of his allies, Giorno eventually succeeds in this mission and becomes the new boss, ending the reign of terror and beginning to reshape the organization. Giorno Giovanna – Giorno is a teenage boy of average height and slim yet muscular build, far smaller in stature than previous JoJos. He has golden hair of moderate length tied back in a short, braided tail, with three distinctive oversized curls arranged in a row over his forehead. His hair was originally black and unkempt but transformed upon awakening his Stand.[3] His eyes, especially present in earlier depictions, sharpen at the ends similar to those of his father's. Giorno wears a two-piece suit with a checkered coat tail and several ornate features, including wing-shaped emblems on the collars and a heart-shaped opening in the chest area. The most distinctive features on his suit are the three ladybug emblems located on either side of his chest and directly below his zipper, matching the appearance of his Stand. Later on, his shoes also have the same ladybug emblem on them. The color scheme for his suit often changes in different depictions, but the most common colors are blue outlined with gold, and pink outlined with green. Personality: Determined and Ambitious: Giorno is extremely determined, focused on his goal of taking control of the mafia organization Passione to reform it from within. Unlike many other characters in the series, he isn't motivated by power for personal gain but by a genuine desire to create a better world. Cunning and Strategic: He possesses a sharp mind, often thinking several steps ahead in combat and in his interactions with others. Giorno is able to outmaneuver even the most dangerous opponents with his intellect and his ability to remain calm under pressure. Cold but Compassionate: While Giorno has a certain coldness in his demeanor, especially when dealing with enemies, he also shows a deep sense of compassion for those who are suffering. He genuinely cares about helping others, which is part of why he seeks to change Passione. His bond with his gang members reflects his loyalty and care for those close to him. Giorno was born as the son of DIO Brando, who used Jonathan Joestar's body to conceive him. Despite this connection to DIO, Giorno doesn't inherit the same thirst for power or cruelty that DIO exhibited. Instead, Giorno strives to make a difference by overthrowing the corrupt organization his father controlled and using his powers for a noble cause. He grew up in Italy and had a rough childhood, which led him to desire power to change his circumstances. He initially starts off as a small-time crook but eventually rises through the ranks of Passione in pursuit of his ultimate goal of becoming the boss. Giorno’s Stand, Gold Experience, has the ability to give life to inanimate objects, effectively turning them into living creatures. This ability allows Giorno to heal injuries, create animals, and turn everyday objects into weapons or useful tools. It also grants him immense versatility, as he can manipulate the environment in creative ways. Gold Experience is also capable of evolving throughout the series, eventually gaining new abilities such as Gold Experience Requiem, which becomes one of the most powerful Stands in the JoJo universe. The Requiem form allows Giorno to nullify fate and cause "death" to anything it touches, making him an incredibly formidable force. Bruno Bucciarati – Bucciarati is a Mafioso and the leader of his own squad within the powerful Neapolitan gang, Passione. Sent out to find Leaky-Eye Luca's killer and debuting as Giorno Giovanna's opponent, Bucciarati becomes the first to lend meaningful support to Giorno in his ascension in Passione's ranks. Bucciarati is also a Stand user who wields the zipper-creating Sticky Fingers in battle. Bucciarati is a man of above-average height with a slim build. He has black chin-length hair with straight-cut bangs covering his forehead. His hair is adorned with a braid going along the top of his head and a hair clip surmounted on each side of his bangs. His attire is composed of an all-white two-piece suit with a print resembling a royal ermine fur finish. It has a large chest window flanked by two zippers, along with more zippers on the shoulders, collar and a few other places, which allude to Bucciarati's Stand, Sticky Fingers. Underneath the jacket is an intricate lace top, though it is portrayed as a tattoo in the anime. His appearance seems to have stayed consistent since childhood with no particular differences outside his height and clothing. Leader of the Bucciarati Gang: Bruno is the leader of the small gang within Passione, consisting of Leone Abbacchio, Narancia Ghirga, Guido Mista, and Pannacotta Fugo. His leadership is marked by respect, care, and loyalty, making him a beloved figure among his subordinates. Ally to Giorno: Initially, Bruno and his gang are sent to kill Giorno, who is seen as a threat to Passione’s leadership. However, after seeing Giorno’s determination and realizing they share similar goals, Bruno decides to ally with him. This decision leads to the formation of a powerful alliance aimed at overthrowing Passione’s corrupt boss, Diavolo. Sacrifices and Tragic Fate: Bruno’s story is one of loyalty, sacrifice, and tragedy. His unwavering commitment to Giorno and the cause leads to him making the ultimate sacrifice. Despite his leadership and strength, he faces tragic consequences in his journey, leaving a profound impact on his allies and the story overall. Leone Abbacchio – Abbacchio is a tall man of slim build. On his head is a serrated headpiece that acts as a headband. He keeps long, light hair, dividing into spikes that angle outwards or upwards at their ends, being shoulder-length in his first appearance and growing longer until halfway down his torso. He also wears a dark shade of lipstick, though in the anime it is depicted as a light purple. He wears a long, dark, lapel-less overcoat with laces that cross his bare chest, dark bell-bottomed pants, and black shoes. The buckle of his belt bears a silver/gold insignia of the letter "A". Cynical and Stoic: Abbacchio is initially portrayed as someone who is jaded and cynical. He’s a person who has seen too much of the world’s darkness, which has led him to become emotionally distant and untrusting of others. His tough exterior masks a deeper vulnerability, and he often appears detached from the events happening around him. Loyal but Reluctant: Though Abbacchio may seem cold and uninterested in others, he is, in fact, very loyal to those he respects, especially to Bruno Bucciarati. His loyalty to Bruno is deep, and he is willing to follow him into dangerous situations despite his reluctance to get involved in anything that might seem futile. This loyalty eventually extends to Giorno Giovanna and the rest of the gang, even though Abbacchio initially views Giorno with suspicion. Morally Driven: Despite his hardened demeanor, Abbacchio has a strong sense of morality and justice. This is partly a result of his painful past, where his sense of right and wrong became skewed by his tragic experiences. He seeks redemption for his past mistakes, which is one of the driving forces behind his actions. Narancia Ghirga – Narancia is a gangly teenage boy of average height. He has a childish face and messy dark hair with a fringe over his eyes. He sports a dark, slim tank top and pants. He has lighter accessories, including a bandana, wrist bands, and a short skirt. He also carries a switchblade with him, which he sometimes uses to threaten people and has occasionally used in actual battle. Loyal and Brave: Narancia is fiercely loyal to Bruno and the gang, treating them as his true family. He’ll jump into danger without hesitation if it means protecting his friends. Hotheaded and Emotional: He’s impulsive, quick to anger, and acts before thinking things through. This emotional intensity gives him strength, but it can also put him and others in danger. Childlike and Innocent: Despite being part of a deadly mafia, Narancia has a youthful innocence. He’s not well-educated (due to his rough upbringing) and often gets math or logic wrong, which sometimes becomes a running gag—but it’s never done to mock him, and his friends still value him immensely. Insecure but Determined: His past left deep emotional scars, and he sometimes doubts his own worth. But he keeps fighting, always trying to prove himself—not to others, but to himself. Narancia grew up in poverty, and after his mother died, his father became neglectful. He fell in with the wrong crowd as a child and ended up falsely imprisoned after being framed. While in juvenile detention, he became sick with an eye infection and was denied help. When he was finally released, he was abandoned and ignored by society. Everything changed when Bruno Bucciarati took him in, gave him medical help, and offered him a purpose. Narancia sees Bruno as a savior and older brother figure, and this bond is the root of his unshakable loyalty. Stand: Aerosmith Appearance: A small, fighter jet-like Stand equipped with machine guns and bombs. Abilities: Aerosmith is capable of aerial combat, long-range attacks, and tracking enemies by detecting their carbon dioxide output (CO₂ radar). This makes Narancia surprisingly effective at scouting and counter-attacks, even from afar. Fighting Style: Narancia uses Aerosmith with a lot of intensity and instinct. He’s not the most strategic fighter, but his sheer determination and quick reactions make him a dangerous opponent. Guido Mista– Mista is a teenager of above-average height and medium build. In contrast to the usual character design, Mista possesses large black irises. He wears uniquely shaped headgear with a diagonal grid pattern and the front shaped like an arrow pointing downward. He is known to keep a lot of things inside his hat, particularly ammunition, as he typically prefers to keep his hands free. Mista's attire consists of a turtleneck crop top cashmere sweater with a design similar to his hat, tiger striped-leather pants that he uses to store his gun, a thick belt, and boots. In his first appearance, the pants lacked the tiger stripes and belt and had a loincloth. Due to the quality of the material, he likely spends the most money on clothing out of Team Bucciarati. Laid-back and Confident: Mista is super chill and almost always relaxed, even in intense situations. He has total faith in his Stand and his abilities. Loyal and Trustworthy: He’s incredibly loyal to Bruno, and later to Giorno, never once questioning orders and often putting himself in danger for the group. Superstitious: His most well-known trait is his deep fear of the number 4 (tetraphobia). He avoids it at all costs, seeing it as a harbinger of bad luck—even going so far as to refuse to use four bullets in battle. Street-Smart: Mista’s no genius in the academic sense, but he has strong instincts, clever tactics, and an understanding of how people work, making him great in unpredictable situations. Big Brother Vibes: He often teases Narancia and acts like the cool older brother of the group, but underneath the goofiness, he’s incredibly protective and kind. Stand: Sex Pistols Appearance: Mista’s Stand is made up of six tiny, sentient bullet-like beings, numbered 1–7 (he skips 4 out of fear of bad luck). Each one has a unique personality and interacts with Mista like a bunch of mischievous children. Abilities: Sex Pistols doesn’t fire bullets itself—instead, it rides the bullets Mista fires from his revolver, kicking and redirecting them mid-air for crazy ricochet shots and precision attacks. Combat Style: Mista’s fighting style is flashy and unpredictable. He’ll shoot a bullet, then have Sex Pistols ricochet it off multiple surfaces to hit enemies from impossible angles. Unique Traits: The Sex Pistols are also a part of Mista’s personality in a way—they talk, argue, joke, and even eat (they love meatballs), adding comic relief and charm to every scene they’re in. Pannacotta Fugo- A former member of Bucciarati’s gang who is eventually written out of the group due to his personal issues with the mission. His Stand, Purple Haze, releases a deadly virus that rapidly decays anything it touches, making it a terrifying weapon. Trish Una – The daughter of the boss of Passione, Diavolo. Initially, she is targeted for assassination by her own father. She becomes an ally to Giorno and the gang after they protect her. Her Stand, Spice Girl, allows her to manipulate the elasticity of objects, making them incredibly flexible and resistant to damage. Diavolo – Diavolo is a tall man with a lean and semi-muscular build. He has long hair, leopard-patterned with various spots, parted in a zig-zagging manner; the bangs of which are propped and parted slightly to the side. The rest of his hair is cut straight across at his shoulders. His shirt, hidden under Doppio's sweater, appears to be made of complex mesh-wiring: it covers his shoulders and torso but down his back and abdomen are linked circles that are tucked under his belt, which in the back end in two~three long "coat tails". On his arms are floral sleeve tattoos leading down to a pair of gold wristbands. He also shares a pair of studded pants and seemingly sock-less loafers with Doppio. Obsessively Secretive: Diavolo's entire identity revolves around secrecy. He goes to extreme lengths to hide his face, name, and past—even from his closest subordinates. He believes that absolute secrecy is the key to power and survival. Paranoid and Controlling: He constantly fears betrayal and is meticulous about controlling every aspect of Passione. This paranoia leads him to ruthlessly eliminate anyone who could discover his identity—including Trish Una, his own daughter. Violent and Sadistic: When provoked, Diavolo is explosively violent. He sees people as tools or obstacles and is willing to torture or murder without remorse. Split Personality: Diavolo shares his body with an alternate personality: Vinegar Doppio, a nervous but oddly sweet young man who serves as a vessel and extension of Diavolo’s will. While Doppio acts like a subordinate, he’s actually the same person—just the "lighter" side of Diavolo's fractured mind. Stand: King Crimson Appearance: King Crimson is a muscular, red-and-white humanoid Stand with an eerie, expressionless face embedded in its forehead (representing its sub-ability, Epitaph). Main Ability – Erase Time: King Crimson can erase up to 10 seconds of time. During that span, everything that was going to happen still happens, but no one but Diavolo remembers it or can react. It’s as if people go through the motions like puppets, while Diavolo moves freely and untouchably. Sub-Ability – Epitaph: Epitaph allows Diavolo to see 10 seconds into the future, which pairs perfectly with his time-erasure. This foresight makes it nearly impossible to catch him off guard. Result: His Stand makes him feel invincible—he sees what's going to happen, erases the time where it does, and moves to safety or strike, leaving enemies confused or instantly defeated. Doppio – The split personality of Diavolo, also known as his “other half.” Doppio is more innocent and childlike, but his personality drastically shifts when Diavolo takes control. Doppio’s Stand, King Crimson, is the same as Diavolo’s but is more unpredictable due to his dual nature. Risotto Nero – A high-ranking member of the assassination squad, La Squadra Esecuzioni. He is a calculating and strategic individual who uses his Stand, Metallica, which allows him to manipulate iron and create deadly metal projectiles from the iron in his environment (like the blood in his opponent’s body). Pesci – A member of La Squadra Esecuzioni, who is initially portrayed as a timid, cowardly character. His Stand, Beach Boy, is a fishing pole that can attack from a distance by latching onto a target's heart, allowing Pesci to control it remotely. Prosciutto – Another member of La Squadra Esecuzioni, he is an older, more cold-blooded character. His Stand, The Grateful Dead, accelerates the aging process of those it touches, making them deteriorate rapidly. Scolippi – A member of La Squadra Esecuzioni with the Stand Clash. He can control a small fish-like creature that can slice and destroy objects and people from a distance. Formaggio – A member of La Squadra Esecuzioni whose Stand, Little Feet, allows him to shrink himself and others to microscopic sizes, allowing him to sneak up on enemies or evade attacks. Melone – A member of La Squadra Esecuzioni who uses his Stand, Baby Face, which can create life-like humanoid creatures that can be controlled to target specific people. Ghiaccio- Affiliation: La Squadra Esecuzioni Stand: White Album Abilities: Ghiaccio’s Stand, White Album, is a powerful, armor-clad Stand that gives him immense physical durability and resistance to damage. It also allows him to control ice, which he can use to freeze objects or create projectiles that can be shot from his body. His Stand is also equipped with a special suit that provides further defense, making him a dangerous foe in battle. Illuso- Affiliation: La Squadra Esecuzioni (Assassination Squad of Passione) Stand: Man in the Mirror Abilities: Illuso’s Stand, Man in the Mirror, allows him to create mirrors that lead to a separate dimension. He can use these mirrors to trap his enemies inside a reflective world, manipulating their perception and reality. Illuso is one of the more cunning and manipulative members of the assassination squad. Cioccolata – A sadistic member of La Squadra Esecuzioni with a love for torturing his victims. His Stand, Green Day, releases a mold that spreads across large areas and decays anything in its path. Cioccolata is a man of above average build, having short hair save for round locks on the top of his head, which closely resemble microscopic mold, or a microbe. He also bears marks on his forehead, cheeks, and nose, wears earrings, as well as a dark neckband. Cioccolata wears a stylized bright long coat, in which a cross-shaped lace partially reveals his chest and multiple T-shaped holes cover his sleeves (the anime depicts him with only four per arm). Under the same bright trousers, Cioccolata wears a dark thong. Cioccolata is primarily depicted as having a white coat with blue lace, golden earrings, green facial markings, and darkened lips (varying between black, purple, and dark blue). Secco – A member of La Squadra Esecuzioni who works with Cioccolata. His Stand, Oasis, allows him to manipulate the ground and make it act as a deadly quicksand-like trap.
