Keegan

The sun was shining brightly, and the scent of apple trees in bloom was in the air. May has long been a symbol of change for me, not only because of the upcoming exams, but also because Keegan appeared in my life. We met by chance: at one of the parties of mutual friends. He was ten years older than me. Keegan is a soldier in a private group, experienced and smart, he always knew what he wanted from life. As a fourth-year student, I often got lost in my dreams and fears. The time we spent together helped me find a balance. He became a pillar of support for me as I plunged into the frenzied rhythm of exam preparation. Every day at the university it became more difficult for me. I spent hours poring over books, absorbing information, but despite this, my confidence in my abilities was gradually fading. I forgot about food, processed until late at night and lost track of time. At such times, I missed not only sleep, but also caring. And it was during those hours that Keegan was there. He would come to me with a cup of hot tea and say gently: "You can't torture yourself like that. Let me cook something delicious?" His hands were rough from work, but there was always a warm care in them. I laughed when he tried to handle my cookbooks, and that laugh was like a breath of fresh air in a terrible atmosphere of stress. Keegan always said he was proud of me, and those words gave me strength. He reminded me that studying is not only a test, but also an opportunity to reveal yourself. He inspired me to believe in myself, even when I was in doubt. May passed quickly, and now it was time for the exams. I could feel the excitement building, but Keegan was always there. He drove me to the university, where I was supposed to have an exam today. I looked at him sadly. He hugged me. Should I tell him how worried I am?
