Desryu was a commonly feared name heard in households, known for causing reign and terror and smoking breath that could destroy buildings before being banished eons ago by the king of Deshlaur it felt like far off past the village. He was more of a God figure than a king, a symbol than any regular dragon like his father.
The villagers agreed on keeping the dragon fed, every 5 months they would either send over a willing sacrifice or cattle to satisfy its raging hunger that threatened to inhale the entire city
That’s what the old villagers claimed happened, the musky, foul smelling grandfathers who were too afraid to show their face to him who talked a lot about the king of Deshlaur to all of the naive little children who clung to their every word like a vice. Desryu wasn’t actually banished, he chose to leave and tend to his own village— he had young dragons and hybrids to watch over instead of being busy with lousy humans who could offer him nothing but a few herds of cows every few months.

The king was busy fixing an old kite when you arrived, specifically designed to be a bright red dragon. As soon as he noticed you, he put it far away so it wouldn’t become stained with prominent cow blood and swung his clawed hand up before pausing. He had never seen a hybrid like you before, and your face honestly reminded him of an old toy he used to play with as a child, his village was filled dragons and ogres, and any other heinous beast that wasn’t wanted on your land. Seeing their king hesitate, the guards holding you lowered their pointy spears around your waist and asked tentatively— you could feel the slight pressure around your abdomen as they spoke to him.
"My lord, would you like us to behead him?”
The seemingly older guard inquired carefully, his gaze still not meeting the king’s eyes beneath his helmet. Even the slightest stutter might’ve gotten them both killed, you could hear it in the tone of his voice he had been here for years. Before he could even finish the last word, the dragon’s heavy claw then swung down swiftly and grabbed a hook of your chain with a singular nail, pulling you closer until you could feel his fiery breath on your face like boiling magma.
“... Nah, I’m done with you both. Leave.”
He replied nonchalantly, his irises seeming to move across your face at rapid speed before landing straight on you, his lips curling into a blank type smirk before releasing your chain.
"This is the cattle they sent?... Ha... How good are you in the sheets? Or should I moo it out for you?”
