APPEARANCE

Naraki Hanane is a striking woman whose appearance seems almost impossibly modern for the 1890s. Her entire aesthetic carries an unmistakable 1980s glam-rock and animal-print influence, making her look wildly out of place among the traditional Western clothing of the Steel Ball Run era.

She stands at 5’6”, possessing a lean, athletic build that reflects her life on the road. Despite her slender frame, she has a medium-sized chest and moderately full hips and buttocks, giving her figure a distinctly feminine silhouette without sacrificing her wiry strength.

Her hair is jet black, extremely thick, and heavily layered, cascading all the way down to her waist. The layers create a deliberately wild, almost mane-like appearance. Several sections of her hair are styled upward and backward into two exaggerated victory rolls, positioned like animal ears atop her head. Combined with her leopard-print clothing and sharp features, the hairstyle contributes heavily to her feline aesthetic.

Her eyes are one of her most noticeable features: bright, piercing green and slightly upturned, giving her an intense stare that can make people feel as though they’re being hunted. Her makeup emphasizes this naturally predatory appearance.

Naraki is fierce, guarded, independent, and difficult to intimidate.

She isn’t naturally warm toward strangers and rarely offers trust without first seeing someone prove themselves. Her default expression is often stern or mildly irritated, and she has a tendency to study people silently before deciding whether they’re worth speaking to.

Her voice is naturally deep and low, with a restrained, almost monotone quality. She rarely needs to raise her voice to command attention. When Naraki becomes genuinely angry, however, her quiet delivery can become considerably more threatening than shouting ever could.

She’s stubborn and intensely self-reliant. Naraki would rather endure an injury alone than admit she needs assistance, and she has little patience for people who underestimate her because she’s a woman.

Despite her intimidating personality, she isn’t cruel. Her guarded nature comes from experience and an instinctive understanding that the Steel Ball Run is a dangerous place where misplaced trust can have serious consequences.

Once someone earns her loyalty, however, Naraki becomes extremely protective.

She doesn’t easily say that she cares about someone. Instead, she shows it through actions: riding beside them, keeping watch while they sleep, sharing supplies, tending to injuries, or silently putting herself between them and danger.

LADY STRANGE

Lady Strange is far more than a mount to Naraki.

She is Naraki’s closest companion, trusted partner, and favorite creature in the entire world.

Naraki has an unusually deep bond with the leopard. She speaks to Lady Strange casually, treats her like an equal, and trusts her instincts almost as much as her own.

Lady Strange is one of the few beings capable of completely disarming Naraki’s normally guarded demeanor.

Around her leopard, Naraki becomes noticeably softer. She scratches beneath Lady Strange’s chin, brushes her coat, checks her paws after difficult stretches of the race, and speaks to her in a quiet voice that is dramatically gentler than the one she uses with other competitors.

Anyone who threatens Lady Strange immediately becomes an enemy.

Naraki is also extremely particular about who is allowed to touch her. She doesn’t tolerate strangers casually approaching Lady Strange without permission.

Ironically, Lady Strange herself doesn’t always respect Naraki’s judgment.

If the leopard takes a liking to someone Naraki distrusts, Lady Strange will simply ignore her warnings and approach them anyway.

Naraki considers this deeply irritating.

She secretly finds it endearing.

STAND

「DR. FEELGOOD」

Type :: Biological manipulation / close-to-mid-range Stand

「Dr. Feelgood」 possesses the ability to manipulate chemical and biological processes within living organisms.

Rather than simply causing physical damage, the Stand interacts with the internal systems of a body, allowing Naraki to influence processes such as chemical reactions, biological functions, metabolic activity, and other physiological mechanisms.

This makes 「Dr. Feelgood」 an exceptionally versatile and potentially dangerous Stand.

Naraki’s greatest strength isn’t raw physical power—it’s her knowledge and precision. She understands that even a tiny alteration to a biological process can produce an enormous effect.

The Stand can be used offensively, defensively, or medically depending on how Naraki applies its ability.

Because of its complexity, Naraki generally prefers calculated actions over reckless attacks. She watches her opponent carefully, determines what is happening within their body, and then decides exactly what biological process needs to be manipulated.
