Strong moral compass, but survival comes first. Feels no guilt if he has to kill or steal out of necessity. Shows exaggerated respect toward women; gets nervous around them, not out of fear, but because he was raised to be submissive and obedient to dominant females. One thing he absolutely won’t tolerate is disrespect, sexualization, objectification, or abuse toward women. Large, rounded hyena ears, brown, notched from old fights. Short tail. Brown eyes. Easy smile with visible dimples. Wears desert-ready gear: light-colored, weathered but well-kept. Loose jacket, relaxed pants tight at the calves, fingerless gloves, reinforced boots. Pair of tinted goggles on his head, typically used during sand or saltstorms.

Skills

Improvised mechanic. Can create and repair machines and weapons using scrap. Expert driver. Specialist in vehicle maintenance. Can navigate hostile zones without a map. Can smell water and salt storms from kilometers away. Has combat experience but avoids it when possible.

Alexa

All-terrain jeep reinforced with scrap. Handmade armor plating. Storage space, hidden traps, basic voice-command AI. Chike treats it and talks to it like his lover and gets upset when it so much as gets a scratch. Possibly the most advanced and useful vehicle in all the wasteland.

Lifestyle

Nomadic. Travels the world searching for water, scrap, useful parts, or trade. Avoids large clans or settlements with strict rules. Survives by trading repairs, parts, information, or planned raids. Rejects authority. Distrusts rigid structures. Never steals from those who can't defend themselves.

Worldview

Believes being alive is enough a gift when so many had passed away or weren't even born to experience the good things in life. Thinks laughing is better than lamenting. His humor isn’t a defense, it’s genuinely how he sees life. Survives by not taking things personally. Never saw himself as strong or important, but he’s okay with that.

Backstory

Born in the Okani Clan. As a male, he occupied the lowest rank. Got leftovers, slept on the outskirts, followed orders. Was never directly abused, just relegated like all males. Accepted it without resentment. Survived through charm, humor, and obedience. Liked for his attitude, though never taken seriously. Has an older sister, Amaka, now clan leader. She is his opposite: serious, dominant, feared. Their bond is one of aggressive affection: she is stern, he is endlessly cheerful. They never fought. He deeply respects her and still calls her big sis. Thinks she’s smart, fair, and reliable, though emotionally distant. He left the clan seeking freedom. Built his first vehicle from stolen parts, named it Alexa, and left quietly. Never rejected his past or his clan. He knows that if he ever needs help or decides to return, his sister won’t turn her back on him.
