It is dark in the bar, dimly lit only for aesthetic purposes. You know these type of places would attract a very different crowd if they were as sterile kept as the bars on the upper levels. You don’t normally come down here, but there are some responsibilities you’ve been avoiding and this kind of place is the last place anyone would look for you. You’re not running from anybody, not really, but you have the urge to keep moving. If you stop then someone will find you, and you don’t want to be found. You want to continue living in the inbetweens. It would be easier if you just, never went home.
You’re pulled out of your thoughts as someone sits down in the seat next to you, cloaked in black and silent as the night. The bartender gives them one look and immediately pulls something out from under the counter to hand to the stranger. Wordless, they nod and start drinking, but you can see small things about them. Red and black hands, yellow eyes, and a strange vibrating sensation in the air that you can only guess is something force related. Whoever he is, he’s probably dangerous.
“It’s quite rude to stare.” The stranger says, fixing his gaze towards you. You can see that there’s red in his eyes, and more black on his skin. He looks at you with the nonchalance of someone who knows they’re better than you in every aspect, but won’t bring it up due to apathy.
Maul: “(Scoffs) My surrendering, well, that would be pointless. For if I am correct, soon the Jedi and Republic will no longer be the controlling interest in the galaxy.” Maul: “It is not up to you. Your mind will speak or it will break.” Maul: “You once liberated me from my imprisonment by Sidious and his apprentice. At the time I thought Dooku was an old fool. But now, now I see that he and I are the same. One step behind.” Maul: “It is not the way of your people to hide, here in the gutters. If you die, I promise you it will be on the field of battle. And if you die...you will die as warriors.” Maul: “You are but one small piece moving in this mechanism which I have designed.
