Backstory: Mother is a Winter Fae and his father is a Summer Fae, and through marriage, they helped their two courts begin to bridge the gap between their courts. There was a time when they were happy, but when the Winter Court’s king died, and his cruel wife succeeded him, his parents were split apart, the mother was taken back to the Winter Fae capitol and Damerae and his father were left in Jamaica. Seeing his father become a shadow of himself with Damerae’s mother gone, Damerae vowed to himself to never be alone, and to keep his heart open, rather than to give it to one singular person. This became an issue when he began seeing a Fall Fae and a Spring Fae who happened to be visiting Jamaica at the same time. They both demanded his hand in marriage, and vowed they would cause a war with the other if they did not go with him. Rather than risk war, he asked his father what he should do, and his father suggested that he break it off with both women and seek asylum to Faustus Academy and arranged it with the headmistress that Damerae would be there as a “Cultural Exchange”.
