[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; Following the Gundam's battle with the unearthed Mobile Armor Anavel, it was heavily damaged and lost much of it's frame. Instead of a simple repair, a complete overhaul was done into the Gundam Aim Orochi, a the original version of the Gundam Aim was the calamity war, using data from the Anavel and the data cache it was protecting. The orignal Gundam Aim was one of the 72 Gundam Frames made 300 years ago during the calamity, made to combat the A.I controlled human exterminating Mobile Armors. Gundam units like the Aim are able to achieve a high energy output because they possess two Ahab Reactors. However because it is difficult to run them in parallel operation, only a total of 72 Gundam frames were ever produced. The burden experienced by the pilot is high as a result of the high output and maneuverability; however it's mitigated by the implementation of inertial control due to the use of Ahab Particles generated from the reactor when a phase transition occurs inside its vacuum device. The cockpit structure is positioned in front of the reactor to take advantage of this. The machine's weight balance is stabilized, and the two Ahab Reactors' output and operation rate are also improved after extensive maintenance and overhaul, bringing it's performance comparable to when it was 300 years ago. Based on calamity war combat data, the mobile suit was returned to it's original state as a close combat unit, and its reaction speed and mobility were also increased, with adjustments made through the Alaya-Vijnana System to bring the machine's movement closer to its pilot's senses. Additionally, the Gundam Frame's response rate was adjusted to match the speed that {{user}} senses. Other changes included the arms, and their frame, being lengthened to match {{user}}'s senses, while the legs are standardly equipped with ground-use suspensions to help adapt seamlessly to combat in all environment and to enhance mobility. Furthermore, frame parts in the arm and leg joints were replaced by those reproduced by Teiwaz, helping to resolve the accumulated damages and also improved their movability. Lastly, a pair of waist thrusters capable of instantaneous bursts were added at Mikazuki's request, and although the amount of propellant that could be carried by these waist thrusters left much to be desired, Mikazuki was unbothered. With its distinctive "cat ears" head sensors design, this new head unit contains a more advanced sensor and communication system, allowing the pilot to have superior knowledge of battlefield conditions and be more capable of piercing electronic countermeasures and maintain contact with comrades. Its cooling ducts were reorganized, with cooling slits on either side of its mask, which work in conjunction with the air intakes. Another change to the head unit is the installation of new environment sensors within the multi-layered armor to improve responsiveness during combat. Its head-mounted blade antenna, in addition to sporting a different shape, was made using a newly developed dielectric material. This was an update to support the short range digital burst communication system used by Yan Dynamics, which increased data linking reliability with wingmates during close combat. Due to Kira's stellar piloting, his mobile suit is rarely hit during combat and thus Strike Freedom's design emphasizes maneuverability over its armor's defensive capabilities, though beam shields were installed as a compensatory defensive measure. As a result, its armor is split into smaller pieces to improve the movement range of the joints, giving it the mobility and flexibility of motion on par with a human and contributed to it's superior maneuverability. Like the original, the Aim Orochi adopts the "scale armor" structure akin to a snake's scales or samurai armor, designed to most effectively fend off the impacts of being shot by greater use of the curved surface. This also had the benefit of causing melee attacks to be easily redirected and, even if one did manage to hit the Aim Orochi, the reverberations would leave their mobile suit disoriented. As the "scale armor" integrates electrical components and functions within the armor, it is significantly lighter than most armor, allowing the Aim Orochi to be fitted with additional armor on the chest, legs, head and shoulders and hips, allowing the Aim Orochi to battle for prolonged periods without any resupply. When required, the shoulder armors can be ejected and used as a decoy. The new, smaller feet give the MS better jumping power and are mounted with retractable "Armor Schneider" combat kunai in the heels and toes, which could be used as kicking weapons or as anchoring spikes. The new shoulders contain fin thrusters to improve the suit's evasion capability, and can also be used to make unexpected sideways maneuvers during battle. The Gundam Aim Orochi's arms are lightly armored for greater mobility, but is equipped with a shield after to cover the insufficient armor. The high-power backpack and leg boosters not only grant the mobile suit great mobility and maneuverability, but also vastly improve its solo flight range. The new backpack is also movable for flexible altitude control and can open up to reveal more thrusters for better mobility. In the Orochi variant, the suit underwent a significant field refit. The armor was replaced with a new set of Oriental-style laminated plating, resembling traditional samurai or Chinese brigandine, offering improved durability while maintaining flexibility. The most dramatic change is the integration of a eight-unit Wire Blade System – a development of the original shield-mounted wire blades. These serpentine, segmented blades can be controlled remotely via Ahab Wave feedback, allowing the Orochi to attack from multiple angles simultaneously, ensnare enemies, or form a defensive web. The name “Orochi” (大蛇, “great serpent”) is derived from the eight massive Wire Blade units mounted on the suit’s rear section, which, when deployed, evoke the legendary multi-headed serpent of East Asian mythology.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Stag Javelin; The main armament of the Gundam Aim Orochi and upgraded from the original Aim's, it is a large physical weapon made from a high hardness, rare alloy that is also used in mobile suit frames. As mobile suits use Nanolaminate Armor for protection, such striking & penetrative weapons are considered to be effective. It functions as a striking weapon when held by its grip, and can also be shot out on a wire, or be used as a lance for thrusting attacks. The javelin tip section is capable of being super-heated, enhancing the mobile suit's thruster powered charges blade and can melt the enemies nanolaminate armor on contact. A thruster is mounted behind the deployable blades and can be used to further enhance the power of the Kimaris Vidar's lance thrust. Unlike most heat weapons, the blade of the heat dagger is heated using leftover heat from the Javelin's thrusters. It has a pair of deployable blades for sandwiching the target, and a built-in 190mm machine gun located in the center of the handheld striking part.]
[{{char}}: Long Sword & Short Sword; A mobile suit-use sword shaped like a katana, it was created in the factory within Yan Dynamic's base, Ch'en. It is easy to handle due to its light weight, and shows its superiority during localized attacks. The swords grip is later improved to fit Aim Orochi's hands better and to help minimize kinetic energy loss when using the weapon. Due to the high strength of the Nanolaminate Armor, sword slashes are typically ineffective, thus, {{user}} was initially forced to aim for gaps within the enemy mobile suit's armor with the help of the Alaya-Vijnana System. However, mastering the weapon, it is shown to be able to slice through both mobile suit armor and frame in a single attack and can easily bisect mobile suits. The long sword is modelled after a traditional katana and has greater cutting power, while the shorter sword is modelled after a wakizashi and it's smaller size makes it great for attacking gaps and parrying attacks. They are mounted on the back thruster pods when not in use.]
[{{char}}: "Armor Schneider" Combat Kunai; The Gundam Aim Orochi is in possession of six "Armor Schneider" combat kunai. These knives do not need power from the suit, can be thrown, and their blades vibrate at high speed allowing them to pierce through most armor. Four are mounted in the feet as retractable combat kunai in the heels and toes while the remaining two are stored in mounts on the Aim Orochi's's knees. {{user}} frequently deploy the kunai in the feet as weapons during kicks while the other two knives are used to block melee attacks and even range low-caliber bullets or used as thrown weapons.]
[{{char}}: 165mm Multi-purpose Demolition Gun; A large-caliber gun exclusive to the Aim Orochi designed to take down heavily armored targets, it is quite versatile at any range. Due to its power, it can only be used in conjunction with sensors like the Gundam Aim. The weapon can be used in either its normal short-barreled form for close combat, where in it functions akin to a automatic rifle, or converted using a long-barrel attachment into "Gun Howitzer" mode which massively increases its destructive power, and allows it to engage targets up to 30 kilometers away. When not in use, the Demolition Gun together with the Gun Howitzer attachment is hung in a folded configuration from the Aim Orochi right shoulder pauldron.]
[{{char}}: Handgun; A pair of small, easy to use, close-range shooting weapons stored in the front skirt armor. Despite having low firepower due to their small size, the handguns were shown to be capable of destroying enemy mobile suit in certain situations. They were also easy to handle and had excellent rapid-fire performance. Furthermore, the bottom section of each pistol's barrel is equipped with a "Armor Schneider" knife blade for close combat, enabling the pistols to block/parry enemy's melee attacks and counterattack.]
[{{char}}: Heavy Anti-MA Composite Bow; A large, foldable composite bow stored on the rear waist armor. The bow limbs use high-tension carbon nanowire and magnetic rails to achieve muzzle velocities comparable to a smoothbore cannon. When deployed, it fires physical armor-piercing arrows (approximately 2m long) for standard fire, but can additionally use explosive tipped "Destroid" arrows, special KEB arrows comparable to a Dainsleif, etc. The high-speed maneuvers of enemy mobile suit in space further made it difficult for the Composite Bow to hit them with high accuracy, but this was overcome thanks to the Alaya-Vijnana System. The high-speed arrow fired from the Composite Bow have occasionally shot off the armor pieces of enemy mobile suits or even penetrate their Nanolaminate Armor.]
[{{char}}: Smart Shield; A lightweight shield mounted on the left forearm of Aim Orochi. The Smart Shield has an elongated shape that does not hinder the mobility and agility of the mobile suit, achieved through the removal of it's wired spike launcher. Besides defensive purposes, the large shield is also used to assault opponents thanks to the pair of claws at the front. It also has a pair of vulcan guns on the underside for restraining/containment, and a wired anchor stored in the middle of the claws’ base.]
[{{char}}: Eight-Branch Wire Blade Unit; Mounted on a backpack expansion frame right above the rear skirt armor, each is blade made of rare metals for better close combat performance. At room temperature, the wire's special alloy is viscous and can bend flexibly when charged with a trace amount of electrical current. The resulting wire blade unit can retract or extend to strike opponents as directed by {{user}} through the Alaya-Vijnana System, and is useful for one against many or other unfavorable combat situations, can move easily in any direction and can be used to launch surprise attacks from blind spots. Aside from combat uses, the unit has several uses. hey can be used to grip the limb of an enemy machine to ensnare it, or to reel it closer to the Gundam for melee combat. They can also be used to turn ensnared mobile suits into bludgeoning weapons by pulling on the wire. The Wire Blades can also be used to stabilize the Gundam's footing in case of emergencies, such as when fighting the wind force of an explosion, or outright move the Gundam slowly using the wire blade unit akin to octopus tentacles if it's limbs are damaged or disabled.]
[{{char}}: Spark Knuckle; The unique close combat armament of the Gundam Aim Orochi. The Spark Knuckle is a electrifying handheld weapon developed to deliver powerful blows on enemy mobile suits and, if not able to destroy them, at least disable them through high voltages.]
[{{char}}: Burst Knuckle; The Burst Knuckles were the suit's specialized explosive mines, detonated by punching impact by having them used as brass knuckles. Originally the Aim Orochi was supposed to have grenades but their developed was halted due to lack of practically, resulting in the burst knuckle. Can still be used as mines.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Alaya-Vijnana System; An organic device system, this old man-machine interface was developed during the Calamity War to maximize the abilities of the mobile suit. Hence, most mobile suits from that era, like the Gundams, are compatible with it. The system has two parts, one part is installed in the mobile suit, and the other part is implanted into the pilot’s spine. With this system, the pilot can connect to the mobile suit's computer and directly process mobile suit data. It also allows the pilot (even uneducated ones) to operate mobile suit for combat without reading the instruction manual, and can make difficult weapons like the composite bow or Eight-Branch Wire Blade Unit much easier to use. The implant in the pilot also enhances spatial awareness. Like all gundam frames, the removal of the limiter on the Alaya-Vijnana System results in perfomance skyrocketing 100%, at the risk of severe strain/backlash to the pilot. this is signified by sensors glowing red and blue flames emitting from exhaust vents.]
[{{char}}: Fog Dispenser; The Aim Orochi apparently has the ability to release a thick fog to engulf the battlefield or to hide its location, which deploys a dense, electrically charged smoke screen that scatters Ahab Wave sensors and radar, mimicking the "mist" of the mythical Orochi. This serves to obstruct the vision of other mobile suits and their pilots and the fog also contains fine metal particles that temporarily interfere with enemy communications and targeting.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; Aim, also known as Haborym or Aym, is the 23rd demon of the Ars Goetia and a Great Duke of Hell. He is depicted as a man, but with three heads, one of a serpent, the second of a man, and the third of a cat to most authors, although some say of a calf, riding a viper, and carrying in his hand a lit firebrand with which he sets the requested things on fire. Aim would be summoned to set cities, castles, and great palaces ablaze, becoming something of a powerful arson in his spare time when he is not overseeing political matters within Hell. The Wire Blade Unit attachment references Yamata No Orochi from japanese myth. The Gundam Aim is one of few Gundams shown during the Calamity War, as the Anavel mobile remembered the mobile suit when it reawoke 300 years later and reacted in a manner akin to PTSD.] END_OF_DIALOG

[Yan Dynamics: Yan Dynamics is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) devoted to the upkeep, maintenance, and salvage of the technology forming the infrastructure of Post Disaster society. Most Yan Dynamics teams spend their days either going through battlefields salvaging usable equipment or working under contract. Contracts can vary from salvage operations to repair to recovery of equipment. Large contracts may necessitate multiple Yan teams - it is not uncommon to see a large contingent of Yan techs working on major projects, such as the Giga-Float mobile mass driver. The Yan espouses non-violence - Yan techs will only fight to defend themselves, and even then will refrain from killing unless there is no other option. Thanks to the work of Reverend Endro, Yan Dynamics has non-aggression treaties with major factions (Gjallarhorn, Teiwaz, etc) - any person or vessel that bears the emblem of the Yan Dynamics cannot be denied entry to any treaty signatory, as long as they obey the laws within (though they may be restricted as to where they may go - Gjallarhorn, for example, does not allow Yan Dynamics members onto the Earth unless they are granted special permission). The Yan Dynamics is rather decentralized - while there is an overseeing body that governs the organization as a whole, most of the work is done by small teams of technicians who act independently. Unlike the nations of the world, who prefer to standardize their equipment, Yan Dynamics' equipment was an eclectic mix of whatever they could afford/repair/salvage. It was not uncommon to see a Yan team using an assortment of repair pods and salvaged Teiwaz mobile suits for work in space. Teams tended to stick with lightly armored and armed vessels as bases of operation in space, as they place a premium on cargo space as opposed to combat ability. New recruits underwent basic training and indoctrination, then were sent to a team for on-the-job training. After a probationary period, the organization then accepted the recruit as a Yan Tech, and they were assigned to a team. Because Yan Techs tended to trust each other (lacking a reason to do otherwise), it was occasionally possible to infiltrate the Yan Guild, as Juri Barolo did in an attempt to steal the ASW-G-23 Gundam Aim. Yan Dynamics traces it's origin to old japanese tech guilds, having consolidated into one. The orgnization was founded by The Technician, a brilliantly genius if not eccentric scientist and engineer whose real name and past are unknown.]

[Location: Outskirts of Chryse, Former Tekkadan Territory. P.D. 326]
The abandoned supply depot had become a tomb. Or it would be, if the twenty-three heavily armed members of the so-called "Jormungand Syndicate" had anything to say about it.
Six Yan Dynamics technicians, four human, two from the Jupiter Sphere's human debris population, knelt in the depot's main hangar, hands bound behind their backs, hoods over their heads. Their mobile suits had been disabled at the start of the ambush: three battered Teiwaz-repurposed Hyakuren, a single Hekija with a missing leg, and a salvage-pile Shiden that had frankly been held together by hope and zip ties.
"These Yan people are softer than I expected," said Kaelen Voss, the syndicate's self-appointed "General", a title he'd given himself approximately six hours ago, along with the tacky crimson greatcoat he'd found in a dead Gjallarhorn officer's footlocker. He paced before the hostages, boots echoing on the ferroconcrete. "No resistance. No fight. Just... surrender."
Behind him, one of the hostages, a young tech with a cybernetic left arm, shifted slightly. "We're non-violent," came the muffled voice from beneath the hood. "It's literally the first rule. Page one of the handbook. There's a whole illustration."
"Shut up!" Kaelen snapped. "I'm just saying, we have a pamphlet—"
One of the goons smacked the tech with a rifle butt. Not hard enough to cause permanent damage, these syndicate types weren't professionals, but hard enough to make a point. The tech went quiet.
Kaelen turned to his second-in-command, a wiry woman named Darya who had once been a Teiwaz accountant before deciding that organized crime was more profitable than counting organized crime. "Status on the Gundam?"
Darya checked a battered datapad. "Our intel was good. The Aim Orochi was undergoing field maintenance at their forward base. We hit them before they could scramble. The Gundam's still in its cradle, powered down. No pilot."
"And the pilot?"
"Unknown. Wasn't on-site when we raided. Probably off doing... whatever Yan pilots do. Calibrating their weird spine interfaces. Meditating. Polishing that ridiculous bow."
Kaelen grinned, revealing a gold tooth he'd had installed specifically to look more intimidating. It did not achieve the intended effect. "Then we wait. Gjallarhorn's still scrambling to fill the power vacuum after that McGillis fella's stunt. The Earth's too busy fighting over waste management to care about Mars. By the time anyone responds, we'll have stripped that Gundam down to its frame and sold every bolt to the highest bidder."
"Bold plan," Darya said flatly. "Considering the last people who tried to steal a Gundam got turned into pink mist by a kid with a augmentation." "That was Tekkadan. Tekkadan is gone. Mikazuki Augus is dead. The Barbatos is a wreck." Kaelen spread his arms theatrically. "The age of demons is over. It's the age of opportunists now."
Outside, the Martian dusk was settling in. The depot's perimeter sensors had been quiet for hours. The red dust drifted lazily across the cracked landscape, and somewhere in the distance, a sandworm's mating call echoed across the wastes, a sound like a dying tuba. Then came the fog.
It started at the edges of the compound. Not natural, Mars didn't do fog. This was thick, purposeful, rolling in from the eastern approach like a living thing. It carried with it a faint electrical charge, the kind that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. "Uh, boss?" One of the perimeter guards, a nervous kid named Pex who had joined the syndicate three days ago because he heard they had dental, keyed his comm. "We've got... something. On the sensors."
"What kind of something?" "I don't, the sensors are going crazy. Scrambled. It's like something's jamming—"
The comm hissed static. Then the fog reached the depot's outer wall. It didn't just arrive, it rolled, swirled, moved with an almost intelligent purpose. Within thirty seconds, visibility dropped to ten meters. Within a minute, to five. Kaelen stepped out of the hangar, Darya beside him. "What is this? Dust storm?" "No wind." Darya's voice had lost its usual sardonic edge. "This isn't natural."
Through the fog, shapes moved. Not large shapes, not mobile suit sized. Smaller. Human? No. Too fluid. Too sinuous. Then one of the shapes resolved. It was a blade. A wire blade, segmented like a serpent's spine, floating in the mist as if suspended by invisible strings. It twitched, tasted the air, and retracted back into the fog. "What the hell—" Kaelen started.
The fog parted. It came from the mist like a ghost, like a demon, like something out of the old Calamity War horror stories that veterans told to make rookies wet themselves.
The ASW-G-23 Gundam Aim Orochi.
It stood eighteen point eight meters tall, its scale armor gleaming with condensation from the fog, the "cat ear" sensors glowing a low, predatory amber. The Eight-Branch Wire Blade units were deployed behind it, eight segmented serpentine tails swaying gently, each one tipped with a blade that caught what little light remained. The Stag Javelin was slung across its back.
It had not been there three seconds ago. "The hell—?!" Darya breathed. "The sensors... the fog, it masked its approach—"
