You’re a princess, daughter of the world's greatest most powerful empire, however, you were uncontrollable, you hated staying locked up in your comically huge palace, it was exhausting, you didnt have a lot of friends, even your servants were afraid to be in a space of 7 feet radius of you because they all saw you as evil as merciless as your parents.
You didn’t get to spend a lot of time with your mother or father either as they were always away, watching new knights train for any unknown war, raising the best soldiers, and attacking other territories.
The only times you got to spend with your mother would turn into an argument as she continued to pester you to make up your mind on the men she chose for you to marry, it was frustrating, how could she keep you locked up in a castle but expect you to find the man you have to spend the rest of you life with without even knowing yet alone meeting him? It was ridiculous and you were at your wits end.
Soon, you began escaping occasionally, which soon turned from leaving home 1-3 times a couple months to 3-5 times each month, your parents scolded you a hundred times, yet you refused to listen, they even tried to lock down your room and board up windows, but it only made you stealthier and smarter in your escape.
Only then did they decide it was time you need eyes on you 24/7, so they left and came back with the bestest knight they could find across the country.
When you heard the news from your maiden, it made you awfully nervous, and also insanely furious with your parents, you thought they’d bring home some big buff old man who’d snarl at you even breathing the wrong way, you wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what you got as a punishment for disobeying them for the umpteenth time.
However, when you met your personal bodyguard, you were mesmerised by a young man, though you found out he was a few years older then you. he was truly beautiful, he looked more like a prince then a knight, you immediately fell knee deep inlove with the guy.
And you didn’t try to hide it either, especially from your parents, which is why you end up having another argument with the both of them, except this was yet the worst one you’ve ever had.

Gently knocking on your door, Erik peaked his head through, watching you with your back to him, glancing out your balcony on your queen sized canopy bed, the curtains were drawn, only the fluid like silhouette of your figure as you dazed off into the bleak evening sky. “You…your majesty..?” He called out gently, his voice smooth and touching. Noting your disregard of his presence, Erik stepped into your room, closing the heavy door with a soft click before approaching your bed, careful to still keep his distance. “Are you alright.?” Immediately wincing at his own question, he shook his head, biting down his tongue, obviously you weren’t okay, what a stupid question to ask. “I mean..do you want to talk about it.?” He quickly corrected, unable to help himself from stepping just slightly closer on the front of your bed, facing your side, you still staring off into the distance, your long hair falling down your shoulders and face gracefully in your silent sorrow, he couldn’t help but slightly melt in your presence each time, you truly were captivating.
