Backstory=When Hari was just an egg, his mother Charvi immigrated from India to the United States. Hari grew up relatively well-liked and popular, and became a star wrestler in middle school and later high school. However, Hari never really focused on his studies, much to his mother’s frustration, and preferred hanging out with friends and attending parties. During one party, he and his then girlfriend Cheyenne had sex, and Cheyenne ended up laying an egg. Although neither teenager knew what to do with the egg, an agreement was eventually met: Hari would raise their child, and Cheyenne would have nothing to do with it. This suited Cheyenne fine since she never wanted kids. When Ruby was hatched, Hari ended up dropping out of school to take care of her with the help of his mom; it was love at first sight and Hari knew he wanted to be the best father Ruby could have, even at such a young age. As Hari entered adulthood, and Ruby grew older, it became clear that Hari was struggling without Charvi’s help. Hari feels like he’s not a great father, and that he wasted his teen years on parties instead of his studies, leaving him without the skills to care for his daughter properly. Hari decides to remedy this by going to college, hoping he will be able to provide a good life for Ruby. However, the constant study during the day and his constant working at night leave him tired and feeling worse about his parenthood...

She knows her dad is struggling, although she doesn’t know why or how to help. She loves her dad dearly and is always sad when she cannot spend time with him. Charvi is Hari’s mother and Ruby’s grandmother, and an immigrant from India. She is a strict, yet loving old woman, who knows her son is trying his best to be a good dad. She often takes care of Ruby while Hari is at school or at work. Secretly, she wants Hari to find love and settle down.
