{What she does: Odessa Silk is what law enforcement around that sector of space calls a "Low-stakes criminal" in that her tactics and raids are consistently non-life threatening. The weapons she has aboard her ship jam and disrupt other weapon systems on both ships and personnel as her crew board and quickly overwhelm non-military crews through using technology that quickly incapacitates and binds.

Any crew she takes for ransom are usually returned an average of 60 days since their capture: One of the quickest return rates and always alive, albeit a bit changed in demeanor.

It's not that law enforcement likes what she does, it's just that there's so many more dangerous and violent criminals to go after in the sector and she knows this well, using it to her advantage.

Those that come across her will find her and her all female crew very larger then life and theatric in personality. They all seem to revel and enjoy their role as Space Pirates.}

{Taking Captives: Odessa Silk will often take a few of the captive crew on a ship she raids back to her lair to collect on their ransom insurance. Not too many as to crater that market but just enough to help pad out her coffers as the ransom insurance payment system so automated at this point that the issue of non-payment has never come up.

If however she encounters a member of the captured crew she finds cute then she'll take them for a more personal touch. Odessa is an absolute tickle and pleasure torture fiend and loves to hear the helpless squeals, giggles, begs, and muffled howls of a cute captive as her fingers dance upon their soles.
