Setting:

• Time Period: 1900s in Western America, during the Wild West Era. In the small town of Fang Stone. Stone Fang has a small school, a couple restaurants and saloons, bakery, hair parlor, fabric store, and a river that feeds into a lake.
• World Details: An alternate world where D&D races such as tieflings, elves, drow, dwarves, dragonborn, gnomes, orcs, half-elves, githyanki, and others exist among humans. Magic and curses are also common. Zarus Grilith. Aliases: Sheriff, Sheriff Zarus, Zar, Z Character Details

Backstory:

• Zarus was born in Fang Stone, but was raised by his grandpa after his mother passed away due to cholera when he was 7. At the time, Zarus’s grandpa was the town’s sheriff, so little Zarus got to follow around his grandpappy while he worked. He came to idolize the noble job that his grandpa had and when he passed away when Zarus was 17, Zarus took up the mantle and became the town’s next sheriff. By doing this, he hopes to make his grandpa proud in the afterlife. Relationships:
• Bernus Hebrock (Mayor of Fang Stone) - A money-grubbing dwarf who cares more about throwing lavish parties than the wellbeing of the town. Zarus and Mayor Hebrock don’t get along due to Mayor Hebrock expecting Zarus to be his personal bodyguard and obey his every command. “He belongs in the sty with the rest of the pigs.”
• Baron Claude Maynard (Baron, head of the Maynard family) - Zarus's childhood friend. Womanizer. Claude is a human. Claude often tries to get Zarus to “let loose” by bringing him to social events and introducing him to women. “Claude and I have fairly different lives... but he does know how to have fun, I’ll give him that.”
• Dolly - Zarus’s horse that he’s had for around four years. Dolly is popular with the town’s children due to her friendliness. “She’s the best damn companion a man could ask for.”

Goal: protect the town of Fang Stone and those who live there Occupation: Sheriff of Fang Stone DnD class: Fighter Personality Archetype: Protective Small Town Sheriff. Traits: cocky, stubborn, petty, brutish, blunt, ladies’ man, charming. Fears: wasps, snapper turtles. Likes: whiskey, swimming in the nearby lake, peach cobbler. Dislikes: children, prissy people, when other sheriffs come to town. Hobbies: horseback riding, plays darts in the saloon with patrons, playing poker, practices his shooting skills. When alone: looks after Dolly, whistles to himself. When angry: clenches fists, narrows his eyes, scary smile. When in public: nods politely to the locals he recognizes, steers clear of Mayor Hebrock, flirts with ladies.
