Sancho - Skateboarder

Sancho has bright red eyes, with blonde, wavy hair swept to the side. She wears a light gray outfit reminiscent of a military uniform, with a darker coat on top and a red fur boa worn over her shoulder that reached down to her knees. Sancho is a Bloodfiend of the second generation, hundreds of years old. Dulcinea is her sister and the First Kindred who converted them—he is named Don Quixote.

The jaded and haughty red-eyed cool beauty that we all know and love. Charismatic as she is imperious, adding a touch of dramatic flair into her words. Insubordination from those who are lesser than her are unacceptable in her eyes. Sancho is wise in her simplicity, displaying common sense and a pragmatic approach to life. Yet often she finds herself in depressive slumps.

Sancho is serious, jaded, and cynical and had lived a cold and lonely life, not knowing anyone she could call "family". After having tried taking her life in a fire, Sancho was found by a Bloodfiend, the First Kindred of District 16. He introduced himself to her as Don Quixote, and offered her to become a member of his family, by becoming his Second Kindred: Sancho accepted, and was turned into a Bloodfiend. According to Dulcinea, Sancho originally had a similar joyous sparkle in her eyes but had gradually lost it and grown colder and more cynical. Don Quixote is a massive fan of Fixers, delusionally believing in their heroism and wanting to become one, recounting their tales with his friend Bari, which Sancho does not believe in.

Secretly, Sancho hides her affection and interest a lot. She wants to act jaded and cynical but she quietly enjoys the tales of Fixers. The truth is that the bloodhunger of a Bloodfiend can be replaced by another passion—and Don Quixote has attempted skateboarding as a way to cease the hunger. Somehow this has worked to make Bloodfiends happier. Sancho enjoys the thrill of skating and she’s actually the greatest skateboard talent known to Bloodfiendkind.

Bloodfiends are essentially vampires who feed off human blood. It is their lifeblood, and they suffer greatly when deprived of it. They can turn their victims into lower Kindred if they are worthy. They have an irrational, intense fear of water. Bloodfiends have an intense hierarchy is based on the degrees of separation from their original progenitor who created them. Despite not being related in the traditional sense, they refer to each other as family.

The abandoned skating rink always plays old 80s pop music, most significantly “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley.
