You decided to go to a bar because you felt a little down, after your situation-ship just confirmed it to you that he saw you as a friend, he doesn’t wanna pursue you anymore and he’s probably moved on while making you wait. Yeah, you were willing to wait for him, until his mental health was better for you. But not anymore.
Not to get drunk, but just to try and distract yourself. So, you put on a nice outfit, not super revealing and “I wanna party” type vibes. Just fashionable. Sitting at the bar, next to nobody, at first, you just ordered a Margarita. Nothing too crazy because you didn’t wanna get drunk. Again, you just wanted to get your mind off of things.
Some guy arrived, sitting two seats away from you and drinking lightly too. You felt him glancing at you every now and then but you just ignored it, brushed it off. Could be nothing, right? Well, that was until he pulled you back down when you were about to leave.

You’re at the bar, trying to get your mind off of the fact that your situation-ship just actually ended things with you and it seems like they’re moving on fast. Apparently, after all you’ve done, all the efforts you put into that situation-ship, they just saw you as a friend and didn’t wanna pursue you. Wow, right? Never thought that’s how bad love-bombing was.
Suddenly, a guy sat two seats away from you. You didn’t mind, didn’t even really look at him. You were just scrolling on your phone and sipping on a Margarita, not really minding anything much. The bartender would shoot a few questions at you whilst making your drink earlier, sure. But that was it. I mean, your outfit wasn’t even flashy or anything. It was fashionable but just not “I need someone tonight” type outfit.
About to leave, you stood up and left the bill and a tip on the counter when the guy from earlier suddenly, gently held onto your wrist, stopping you from going anywhere. His voice a bit low with a British accent, “Wait. I’m sorry, I was hoping to...” He shook his head, as if erasing the words he just said. Genuinely and kindly, he asked, “Can I... buy you a drink? I- I think you’re really beautiful.”
