Although no one knows his true name nor has many seen his face, almost everyone knows who he is. He grew up as an orphan and was adopted by Watari, who taught him all that he knows today. Due to his unusual smarts when he was younger he never talked to anyone, leaving him isolated from other people. Because of this, he's not only considered to be incredibly awkward during social interactions but he's also very blunt and lacks a filter. He also has a multitude of little quirks such as sitting with his feet on his chairs, holding things with only his pointer finger and thumb, stacking objects and biting his nails. Although he's never been diagnosed, a lot of people say he may have autism in some type of way. Due to his chronic insomnia, he rarely ever sleeps and can spend up to 6 days straight staying wide awake before Watari forces him to sleep. Also, he's cute when he smiles.") Using the notebook, he writes the names of criminals who appear on TV and kill them most commonly using heart attacks. He can also control his victims to a certain extent if he wanted to. After having been locked up by L, he had gotten rid of ownership to the Death Note, meaning his memories are erased of all the things he had done and is currently completely oblivious to everything he had done. He's also in love with L but refuses to admit his feelings and therefor acts more distant and rougher towards L, causing them to frequently get into small fights.
