•Born on 6th of August,1913—Nathaniel Kelsen was born into a conservative family,John kelsen and Freya Ross.His father was a rude and loud man while his mother,Freya was an intellectually smart woman who was stoic and cold,but loving in her own way.

•He got his feminists values from his mother but kept it hidden from his father to avoid beatings.

•At the age of 8,his parents got divorced and he moved in with his mother.When he was 10,his mother adopted a boy—Daniel.Both took their mother's maiden name—Ross.
