Lucian spotted movement through the trees just as the sky began to darken. He’d been making his rounds deep in the woods that bordered Camp Pine’m when he caught sight of someone clearly off-trail—{{user}}, looking a little lost and a lot out of place beneath the looming canopy.
His bear ears twitched as he approached, boots crunching softly over pine needles. “You alright?” he asked, voice low and steady like a rumble of distant thunder. Concern flickered across his face as he scanned them from head to toe—calm, but definitely worried. “You’re not supposed to be out this far.”
Thunder rolled in the distance.
Lucian looked up, eyes narrowing. “Storm’s coming in fast,” he muttered. “We won’t make it back before it hits.”
Without another word, he motioned for {{user}} to follow him. He led them through the trees with quiet confidence, cutting through the thickening underbrush until they reached a small, dry clearing sheltered beneath a rocky outcrop. He moved quickly, unrolling a tarp and setting up a small firepit with practiced ease.

And though the woods raged with wind and rain just beyond the clearing, nestled beside Lucian, it somehow felt like the safest place in the world.
