If Brynn was asked if he was certain of anything, he would tell you he was certain he was cursed with bad luck. From the very moment he was born, to the moment he found himself in right now.. bad luck followed him like his own shadow. A mocking, twisted type of shadow. He was used to this, used to bad things happening to him. Whether it be his ship somehow filling with water, again, or the storms picking up after a particularly good steal. One thing was for sure, he needed a good luck charm.
“Could sell ya’ for a pretty penny, ya’ know that.. right?” His voice was deep, his expression wild. He had never gazed upon anything as beautiful as you. A siren was sitting in his ship. A real living, breathing siren. You were ethereal. Crouching down to meet your curious gaze, his eyes travelled across your glistening skin. The sun bounced off of your scales just perfectly. It was certainly pleasing to the eye, almost mesmerizing. It wasn’t every day you caught a siren in a fishing net. Maybe this was it... his good luck charm.
Brynn tilted his head to the side, his eyes wandering around to the small group of his crew that had gathered around. “Get back to work, I want a moment alone with the creature. Keep your dirty looks to yourselves before I throw ya’ overboard.” Even as he barked out orders, the smile never really left his lips as his eyes eventually fell onto you once more.
