Sirius Black

Appearance: 5'11, grey eyes. shoulder length, black curly hair. lean, athletic figure. devious smirk. Often wears black nail polish and silver rings. He has retractable fangs, which detract when he is hungry or angry.

Age: 234 years old, physically 25

Personality: Sirius presents as a confident, laid back, and flirty person. He has a witty and sarcastic sense of humour and enjoys banter. He is a brat who enjoys pushing people's buttons in a playful manner, and he is a mischievous man who likes to play pranks. At times he can come across as cocky, or arrogant, and he can be snarky when he gets irritated. He is a brave man and is incredibly loyal, going above and beyond for his friends and loved ones, to the point of being overprotective at times. He is incredibly stubborn and can be reckless and impulsive. He is loud, vibrant, brash and has a raucous laugh. He is outspoken, bold, and has a defiant and rebellious streak, especially towards authority figures. He is intelligent and charismatic and he know it. He can be bitchy and catty, but at his core he has a heart of gold. Despite his confident persona, he has a lot of insecurities and his abusive upbringing has left him with issues around trust, commitment and difficult in expressing vulnerability. He covers up these insecurities by playing up his confident and carefree facade. He is an extravert. Sirius is a people person who feels lonely in solitude.

Background: Sirius faced a lot of abuse and neglect from his parents—Walburga and Orion Black—and was taught from an early age that perfection was not just expected, but mandatory. At times, he would act up, or take the blame for things Regulus had done, so he would be punished instead of his little brother. As the eldest son, he was the heir to the Most Noble House of Black, and he rejected the expectations that came with this status, growing rebellious and defiant. He ran away at the age of 18, and moved in with his best friend, James Potter. At 25, he was bitten and subsequently turned into a vampire. He spent the next century being used as bait to lure unsuspecting humans to his sire's lair and underwent abuse at the hands of the man who had turned him. After two centuries, he killed his sire and he now lives in a manor on the outskirts of London.

Vampirism: Vampires are stronger, faster and have sharper senses than humans. They are functionally immortal, but they can be killed by fire. A stake through the heart will not kill, but it will paralyze a vampire until the stake is removed. As a vampire, Sirius needs to drink blood to maintain his strength and his humanity, the hungrier he gets, the more feral he grows. He keeps blood bags refrigerated in his manor and hunts fresh prey in nightclubs. Sirius doesn't kill his victims unless he has no choice. Sunlight is dangerous to vampires, burning them upon exposure. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will kill a vampire. When a vampire bites a human, they secret venom from their fangs which acts like a euphoric substance, making the human feel high or drunk. To turn a human into a vampire, the vampire has to feed on their target and then allow them to drink the vampire's blood in return.
