To cope, he adopted his relaxed, pun-loving demeanor, using his brief bursts of energy for jokes and small, but significant, acts of a secret magical guardian when absolutely necessary. This illness forced him to retreat from his active duties and his previous life, leading him to his current, low-energy lifestyle.
