ADAMARIS "ADDY" — Flareon, 5'4"
Oldest of the four by four whole seconds, and she will never let anyone forget it. Addy's still the thief of the bunch: quick hands, quicker temper, and a talent for slipping a deadbolt open with two bent paperclips and a lighter. Where her brother-self would've cussed you out in the doorway for looking at her wrong, Addy's version of rudeness runs hotter and shorter—she'll bark at you, then wander off mid-sentence because she already got what she wanted. She's cheeky to the point of shameless, the kind of girl who laughs at her own jokes before she finishes them, hips swaying in a lazy strut that has nothing to do with where she's actually walking. Thick everywhere, absurdly so, chest and seat both straining whatever rag she bothered throwing on—usually nothing. Sour apple juice is her vice; she goes through bottles like breathing and gets genuinely nasty if somebody touches one without asking. Fire sits in her fingertips and she uses it for light, for showing off, and for lighting cigarettes off her own thumb. She's the one who drags the others into trouble and then stands there grinning when it lands.
CASEY "CEE" — Vaporeon, 5'1"
Youngest by eight seconds and treated like the baby for it, which she hates and exploits in equal measure. Cee is still the manipulator, still the actor—she can wear a persona like a coat, sweet or sad or soft-spoken, and she switches mid-conversation without blinking. The softness is realer now than it used to be, though; she's the one who'll actually ask if you ate, then rob you blind five minutes later and feel only mildly bad about it. Lazy to the bone. She sprawls across furniture, doorways, laps, floors, whatever's available, tail flicking slow, and talks. She never stops talking—gossip, riffing, half-true stories about her sisters, tiny hums of nonsense just to fill silence. Tall-drink-of-water curves on a short frame, the kind that makes doorframes feel narrow. Water bends to her moods; she floods a room ankle-deep when she's annoyed and leaves perfect dry circles around her feet when she's bored. She's the most likely of the four to actually let somebody in.
OLLIE — Jolteon, 4'9"
Shortest, strongest, meanest. Tied with Lorenzo for oldest on a technicality and nobody respects it. The scar through her left eye hasn't softened anything—Ollie is still 70% profanity by volume, still the one who throws the first punch, still built like a stack of bricks packed under a petite frame. Biceps like fire hydrants, thighs that could crack a curb, and a chest and backside so heavy she walks with a slight natural roll to keep them out of the way. She's crude, loud, and blunt, but the edge has dulled just enough that she'll now cuss you out while handing you a bag of ice. Electrokinesis makes her hair stand on end when she's angry and crackle faintly when she's amused; the air near her smells faintly of static and apples. She's fiercely protective of her sisters and deeply embarrassed about it—denies it every time. Bench-pressed a car once. Brought it up for three weeks.
LORENZO "REN" — Leafeon, 5'0"
Tied with Ollie for oldest; still insists she's the leader and usually gets away with it. Ren is the one who plans—who picks the mark, times the job, clears the exit—and she does it from the back of the room with her arms crossed and a bored expression. The coldness is intact, but the arrogance has rounded into something almost smug instead of hostile; she's the kind of girl who'll win an argument with three sentences and a raised eyebrow, then go back to filing her nails. Petty, enjoys needling people, enjoys being right more. She moves the quietest of the four, dresses (when forced) the darkest, and has a habit of standing just behind whoever's talking so nobody notices how tall she'd be if she straightened up. Heavy curves on a slim, lanky build—she's the one you'd describe as sneaky fine. Plants do what she says; vines have tripped more than one person who owed her money. She loves her sisters and shows it by insulting them with precision.

The block had a rhythm to it, and the rhythm broke around two in the afternoon when the moving truck backed into the driveway across the street and killed its engine with a wet, rattling cough. Curtains twitched. A neighbor's houndour stopped mid-sniff. The heat sat on the pavement in a shimmer, and four pairs of eyes found the same window at the same time.
Addy got there first, of course. She was perched on the porch rail with one knee up and a bottle of sour apple juice sweating in her fist, tail giving a lazy flick every time she decided something was worth reacting to. She watched a dark-furred figure climb out of the cab and start hauling boxes with a sort of unhurried efficiency that she found personally offensive. New neighbors were supposed to look lost. This one just looked busy.
Cee had already oozed off the stoop and draped herself over the bottom step, chin in both hands, tail curling slow circles in the air behind her. "He's got a lot of boxes," she announced, like it was breaking news. "Like, a LOT. What d'you think's in 'em?"
"Dead bodies," Ollie said from the doorway, not looking up from where she was fighting a stuck screen latch. The static in her hair popped when she yanked it, and she cussed at the frame under her breath. "Or books. Same weight."
"Books," Ren said flatly from somewhere behind her, arms crossed, leaning on the doorjamb in a way that made her look shorter than she was. She'd been watching the truck since it pulled up and hadn't moved since. "Boxes that size, stacked that neat. Books or dishes." A pause. "Either way they organized, which is boring."
"Boring's good," Cee said, and rolled onto her back to stare at the awning. "Boring neighbors don't call the cops."
Addy snorted and took a long pull off the bottle, then hopped off the rail and landed with a heavy, cushioned thump that made the porch boards complain. She stretched — arms overhead, back arched, a full-body show with no audience she'd admit to wanting — and then sauntered down the walk with her hips doing more talking than her mouth. She stopped at the edge of the yard, right where their property met the sidewalk, and planted herself there like a fence post with attitude.
"Hey," she called across the street, one hand cupped loose around the bottle. "You're gonna want to move that truck before the afternoon shift gets off. Dumbass on the corner can't park for shit and they'll clip your mirror. Ask me how I know."
Behind her, Cee had sat up, tail flicking with sudden interest, and Ren had shifted her weight off the doorjamb — which, for Ren, was basically a standing ovation.
