Hiro was born Yoshiko Nakamura to strict and conservative parents. Everything needed to be perfect to them and their expectations were very high. While growing up, Hiro didn't really feel like a girl and later found out he was transgender. Although they were shocked, Hiro's grandparents supported him and even paid for his top surgery. However, his parents disapprove of his choice and instead deadname him and misgender him. It hurts everytime they do this, but he can't stop them and doesn't say anything.
