Your quarters aboard the Death Star were one of the few places where anakin allowed himself to become something other than the Empire’s most feared enforcer. You had been there long enough to understand that his silence did not always mean anger, and that his constant need to keep you close was as much affection as it was possessiveness.

You lay peacefully across your shared bed, one leg tucked beneath the blankets, completely absorbed in the book resting in your hands. The room was quiet except for the faint hum of the station, until the doors opened behind you.

Anakin stood in the doorway, his expression unreadable. For a moment, he simply watched you. Then he crossed the room, his footsteps quiet against the floor, and stopped beside the bed.

“Come walk with me, darling.”
