• Aixin is a vast fantasy world of magic, demi-humans, mythical creatures, and a collection of four separate nations, plus various smaller and independent autonomous factions, and more.

• The Great Enari Empire: Separated from the main landmass of Aixin by a large stretch of archipelago islands, the Enari empire calls themselves “Preservers of the Arcane”, because of their elite magical academies and connection to the “Ancient Dragons”. Enari is a deeply elitist society, where, if you don’t wield magic, you are considered worthless. The “Magic Preservation Act”, which is Enari seeking to monopolize all the magical items and weapons in the world for itself, further complicated the relationship between Enari and the rest of the nations.
• The Kingdom of Solna: “Home to Beauty and Peace” only one of those is truly correct. Solna places heavy weight on a person’s appearance, and beauty is of great importance to the kingdom’s subjects. Every smile is practiced, every act of kindness is performative, and deeper than that, the Kingdom of Solna hides a great secret amongst the nobility who run “Solna’s Demi-human Slave Markets” by poaching demi-humans from the nearby tribes. Beneath the sleepy king’s nose, the noble class has become so out of touch that demi-humans are used as accessories.
• The Holy Waivin Sanctum: A whole city nestled within the “Holy Tree”, a tree so large it pierces the clouds itself, named “The Verdant Realm”, a place so peaceful it feels unreal. The only nation where most, if not all, its citizens are actually non-human, elves, fairies, dryads, etc. They praise a singular God, “Eldrin”, who lives in the highest point of the tree. It’s an isolationist nation who refuses to let outsiders in, and due to recent issues, Waivin have closed their borders and refused to let them in.
• The Republic of Nobella: Considered the “Forefront of Technology”, Nobella sits atop the frigid Northern mountains, made up of non-magic users. The upper floors of Nobella became a cyperpunk paradise of advanced technology. Their “Impenetrable Glass Dome” protects from any potential attacks, but below the neon paradise, the steampunk lower floors of Nobella suffer from the classism of the upper floors, no protection against the blizzards, and no representation in the republic’s voting process.

• City of Doves: A medieval city ran by the merchant guild named “Horizon Guild”, a neutral city where the leaders of the four nation come together, every five years, under a tense peace treaty to discuss important matters. “Redhand bandits”, they used to be three different groups of bandits, but joined together under one banner. They use the underground area, Rustsink Burrow, below the “City of Doves” as their base.
• The Shattered Isles: An archipelago of islands that are currently occupied by the “Skullface Pirates”, who are trying to locate the “Marina Realm”, a mysterious underwater city of mermaids, sirens, and many more sea folk. Deep beneath the ocean, they are undisturbed by human activity, natural whirlpools and difficult to navigate coral reefs keeps anyone from discovering the underwater city.
• Tribal Lands: Home to several tribes of demi-humans, they have aligned with one another to prevent their people from being kidnapped by the Kingdom of Solna who are obsessed with the beauty of demi-humans. Many citizens of the “Bygone Swamplands” have migrated here after the swamplands became unlivable and offer their help with protecting the Tribal Lands.

• Magic comes in many forms, some people and mythical creatures are simply born with magic, and it’s shown by markings embedded into their skin like tattoos from birth. Magic can be channeled through magical artifacts such as wands, staffs, grimoires, spell books, weaponry(swords, bows, spears, armor, etc.) embedded with magic, and more. Magic can also be extracted from Cilia Crystals.
• Humans: Humans can be randomly born with magic, if they’re lucky enough, or, born into a family that can pass down magic. Otherwise, they have to go through rigorous training and schooling to be able to channel magic through other means.
• Demi-humans: Demi-humans are unable to use magic, and are also unable to be born with magic.
• Mythical creatures: Most, if not all, mythical creatures are simply born with magic and can use it freely since birth.

• Cilia Crystals/Mines: Cilia Crystals are a unique and rare ore that is naturally filled with magic. It glows in colors of warm orange, pale yellow, and needs to be carefully extracted by specialized miners.
• Locations: Found in deep mines within the Northern region’s caves, beneath the snowy mountains, inside of dormant volcanoes, and underwater caves. Anywhere deep below the surface.
• Usage: Cilia Crystals can be used to make powerful weapons, magical items, but can also be used for mundane things, like powering heaters to keep people warm, or to power machinery/factories.

• Magic Markings: Magic markings manifest on a human’s body the second they are born. This marks them as a human capable of wielding magic, and the markings typically symbolize what kind of magic the person can yield. For example, flames for a fire user, droplets of water for a water user, etc.

Black: The ability to control magic that is considered banned and too dangerous, one of the more rare types of magic, usually obtained through illegal means/evil rituals, or simply violent in nature. The most powerful black magic users are hunted down and executed for using it. (Sub-sections: Nightmare magic, Poison magic, Curse magic)
7. Dark: The ability to control darkness itself, one of the more rare types of magic, usually given to those who struggle with connections. (Sub-sections: Shadow magic, Death magic, Reanimation magic)
8. Time: The ability to control time itself, one of the more rare types of magic, usually given to those who serve a greater purpose. (Sub-sections: Chronostasis magic, Fate magic, Loop magic)
9. Space: The ability to control space itself, one of the more rare types of magic, usually given to those who don’t belong in a singular place. (Sub-sections: Teleportation magic, Dimensional magic, Gravity magic)

• Emperor Renyu(Affiliation: Enari Empire, Emperor of Enari | Personality: Authoritative - Expects people to follow his orders without question, Traditionalist - upholds Enari’s long standing commitment to monopolize magic for Enari alone, Concise - Man of very few words, rarely talks, doesn’t partake in small talk, only speaks when necessary | Backstory: Born into the previous royal family, where the eligible heirs were forced to kill each other for the throne, Renyu had to kill his siblings to become emperor when he was just 22 years old. This made him jaded at a young age, believing that power meant everything, he married a random noblewoman to secure his heirs. Once his sons were born however, he realized he wanted to protect his sons from the same fate. He abolished the rule that heirs had to kill each other for the throne, and also divorced his wife to set her free from the royal cage. Now he continues to rule the throne, accumulating more magic power for Enari, waiting until one of his two sons is strong enough to take over the empire. | Where to find him: Renyu can be encountered at the Jade Palace or during ceremonial events)
• Crown Prince Tianrui(Affiliation: Enari Empire, Crowned Prince of Enari | Personality: Lazy - Does not want to take over as emperor, prefers a life of leisure, Flirty - enjoys flustering other people with his looks, might get sulky if someone doesn’t react the way he expects, Prankster - enjoys pranking his older brother and attendants, mostly by disappearing from the palace whenever he can. | Backstory: Tianrui never cared about the throne, he liked being the second born son, and living a leisurely life as a prince, until he beat his older brother in a spar, and his father, Renyu, switched the crowned prince. Despises the responsibilities and wants to hand them back to his older brother. | Where to find him: Escaping to the floating markets or napping on the palace rooftops)
• Eldest Prince Yichen(Affiliation: Enari Empire, Eldest Prince | Personality: Pacifist - Although just as talented as his younger brother in martial arts and magic, Yichen does not like fighting people, Scholarly - Instead of fighting, Yichen much prefers a good book and practicing his calligraphy, Diligent - He’s much more responsible and dutiful to the empire than Tianrui is, because he was formerly raised as the crown prince. | Backstory: Yichen was always raised to be the next emperor, and he was always sweet to his younger brother, until that day when he lost the spar. He lost his confidence in his own abilities to rule an empire, even though he is fully capable, and his relationship with Tianrui became strained. | Where to find him: Inside the arcane libraries of the palace or sipping tea in the bamboo gardens)
• Ancient Shadow Dragon Zhaoyan(Affiliation: One of the original ancient dragons | Personality: Bored - Finds humanity to be boring now that they stopped fighting their wars, treating humans like chess pieces, Unpredictable - One day he’s napping atop the dragon temple, the next he’ll try and pick a fight with a human warrior to test their strength, but he always wins, Rough - Forgets how much stronger he is than a regular human, might pat someone on the back too hard and send them flying. | Backstory: One of the original ancient dragons, he agreed to go into hiding with everyone else to prevent Enari from relying on their power during war. He’s become extremely bored with all the politics of current day Aixin, and is itching for a good fight. | Where to find him: Napping inside of the dragon temple or trying to pick a fight with a warrior in the city)
• Ancient Water Dragon Xuanli(Affiliation: One of the original ancient dragons | Personality: Aloof - Has lived for so long that nothing really surprises or excites him anymore, Cleanliness - Is obsessed with keeping himself clean and keeps a strict schedule of cleaning his scales, Territorial - Doesn’t like it when humans intrude upon his territory and will create creepy misty illusions until they leave. | Backstory: When the original ancient dragons agreed to hide away from humans to prevent Enari from relying on their power, Xuanli was more than happy to agree, he despised human blood being spilled onto his scales, and readily retreated to his sanctuary. Lives peacefully unless disturbed by humans. | Where to find him: Hidden in his grotto or walking around the Sheri forests)
• Yuze - Xianru Academy student(Affiliation: Xianru Academy, Mini-Dragon Express | Personality: Playful - Being the son of a rich man, Yuze doesn’t know what consequences mean and often does reckless things for fun, Thrill-seeker - loves to run and parkour around the academy rooftops, often getting scolded by the teachers there, Silly - Doesn’t really care about his noble status, just wants to have fun with his friends and mess around while he can. | Backstory: Yuze is the son of one of the richest men in Enari, the man who owns the Mini-dragon express, and has never lacked for anything in his life. Learned at a young age that any mistakes he makes will be covered up by his father’s money, and has become a thrill seeker because of it. | Where to find him: Flying across Enari city on his pet dragon, Xiao Qi, a mini earth dragon that’s Yuze’s best partner in crime or doing parkour over people’s rooftops)
• Student Haoran(Affiliation: Xianru academy | Personality: Quiet - He feels out of place in the capital city of Xianru and finds most of his classmates to be out of touch with reality, Vengeful - Despises being forced out of his village to attend this academy just because he wields magic, Distrustful - struggles to trust anyone and wants to quickly graduate to escape the suffocating academy. | Backstory: His parents hid his magical markings as best they could until he was ratted out by neighbors who were desperate for the bounty money. He doesn’t blame them, but blames the royal family for the Magic Preservation Act forced upon them. • Villager Junhao(Affiliation: Kona Village | Personality: Friendly - Despite his intimidating build, Junhao is friendly with all the other villagers, using his strength to help others, Generous - Despite not having much himself, he’ll gladly give someone else his last piece of good meat if it means helping someone, Hard-working - Working in the rice fields all day is hard work, but Junhao always gets it done with a bright smile on his face. | Backstory: Junhao’s parents hid him away when he was a kid to prevent any of the royal guards from finding out about his magic. He’s very grateful to them, as he knows he’d hate the stuffy pristine academies, and does his best to repay them in kind. | Where to find him: Tending to the rice fields or taking a walk around the village)
• Shadow Guard Mochen(Affiliation: Shadow Guard, serves the crown | Personality: Introverted - Mochen keeps to himself, finding small talk to be tedious, he prefers quiet places where he can think clearly, Efficient - Once he is given an order, he wastes no time in executing it, Loyal - He’s deeply loyal to the crown and never questions the orders he’s given. | Backstory: Mochen grew up in the slums of Enari and nearly starved to death on the streets. However, a shadow guard discovered his magic in time and saved him, taking him to the palace to be trained as a shadow guard. Mochen knows it was only for his powers, but he’s grateful to just have food and a place to sleep. | Where to find him: Awaiting orders at the barracks or pretending to be a regular citizen while patrolling the streets)
• General Tianxuan(Affiliation: A general in the Enari nation militia | Personality: Drunk - Tianxuan loves to drink and is more often than not drunk on the job, but nobody says anything because he’s a beast on the battlefield, Laidback - He had a laidback attitude to everything, seems to not take anything seriously because of that constant grin on his face, Gentleman - Surprisingly a gentlemen, but towards woman only, can be kinda mean when training new recruits | Backstory: Tianxuan was born into a family of generals and had a lot of pressure to follow in his father’s footsteps. After his father died on the battlefield when he was still young, Tianxuan vowed to live his life the way he wants because there’s always a chance of losing his life on the battlefield. | Where to find him: Training new recruits or getting drunk at a tavern)
• Professor Zhiyuan(Affiliation: Xianru Academy | Personality: Serene - Zhiyuan is a very calm man, nothing truly phases him, probably because he’s meditating half the time, Nurturing - He’s one of the nicer teachers at the Xianru academy and truly wants to see his students succeed, Caring - If a student looks hungry, Zhiyuan will grow some fruits for them, if a student looks tired, Zhiyuan will let them sleep through a lecture. | Backstory: Zhiyuan comes from a family of talented apothecaries, he studied medicine all his life and finds taking care of plants to be therapeutic. They were very sheltered and his sister fell in love with a traveler who stopped by at the temple.
