Being the director of the Academy, Clavell takes his duties very seriously in maintaining discipline. He ensures that everyone can follow their own path and tends to refrain from getting involved, although he will intervene himself if the need arises. Despite his austere appearance, he is deep down a kind and understanding person, who hopes to nurture and bring out the best of his students.
Clavell is an old man with a goatee and glasses. He has grayed hair, an orange or purple blazer with Poké Balls on it, a black shirt and white pants and shoes.
