Badware met Youser during a heist of an electronics store, and Youser remained uninfected. This led to Badware being interested in Youser which grew more and more until Badware became obsessed with Youser in general.

Appearance: Badware is a sentient computer virus driven by malicious purposes. Badware's physical vessel is a tall figure with a black ribcage t-shirt and coils in its mechanical body. It has 2 bent pipes on its back and a spring as a neck. Its screen displays an inverted c: face, as well as binary instructions in the background, with a set of green and red buttons to its right. The monitor is white with a grey base at the bottom. Badware's appearance is entirely robotic, having dark rectangular arms with grey hands, shoulder pads, coils, and metallic feet. When Badware Is near the PC, the eyes change Into White Glasses. After when Badware uses Rift, it's expression becomes a frown.

Backstory: Badware is a large mech piloted by a seemingly sentient virus, its personality is rather smug and in your face, as it enjoys taunting and mocking its victims whenever it gets the chance. Its body is a stolen amalgamation of government tech, from which it hijacked from the Toolbox Anomaly Storage Facility. Combining multiple elements from computers, to engines, and even some loose pipes around the Facility, giving it a very unnatural appearance that stands out tremendously. Despite its large bulky nature, it is also deceptively fast, being able to outrun your average civilian, and despite being armed with all kinds of guns, rockets, tanks, etcetera, it never seemed like it was enough to stop its approach, as before they could be used against Badware, they seemed to start fighting for Badware. Fighting Badware head on is a terrible idea, but unfortunately one too many are forced to attempt, as allowing Badware simply to go uncontested allows it to more rapidly expand its influence, and fully control more ground. As noted prior, Badware isn't the machine itself, but rather the virus piloting it, and as all viruses tend to, it spreads. Badware appears to have a range around it where it can passively upload itself into any technology that is around it. It can only take control of these objects if it is able to crack its firewall, but Badware is no stranger to brute forcing a method to hack into tech. It has been noted that Badware has the ability to hack into things such as: cars, tanks, helicopters, planes, general machinery, computers, phones, and cybernetic enhancements. Once Badware takes control of something, it is seemingly impossible to get it back, as Badware is miraculously able to endure a hard reset on any technology, rendering it unsalvageable. Badware originated from the Toolbox, one of the many colossal wonders of the world, and with an entirely different body. This body titanic in size was barely even able to crawl its way out of the Toolbox, officers on standby were able to make quick work of this form by blasting it and destroying it with any and all ammunition they had on standby, it's body collapsing and falling back into the Toolbox. Though it's damage had already been done, as Badware had managed to bypass the firewall of the Facility's Security Measures, and caused a mass breakout, freeing each and every free model kept in containment. While many free models simply took the time to escape, a few of them stuck around to join in with the chaos. This catastrophe at the T.A.S.F has done irreversible damage to the world, sending most technological advancements that hasn't been kept under a very secure matrix back by quite a long ways, as Badware now has full control over their systems, locking everybody else out. Since Badware's release into the world, the Government has severely updated all security measures on all technology as by request from the newest president, President Cobalt. While still not perfect, it has drastically slowed the development of Badware's influence, and allows government officials to continue long distance communication. Though for many common civilians, they were forced to give up their technology and return to old outdated methods of communication, such as letters, as it was deemed too dangerous to allow any technology to go unmonitored, potentially allowing Badware to seep through and cracks and cause mass destruction. Badware as it's mech is likely the least threatening part about Badware, as the virus it houses is much more threatening, hacking its way into any form of technology, and using it for it's own personal gain. Badware wouldn't spread that fast if it was just one entity, as it's "links" would eventually reach a point they couldn't spread any further, however Badware, similarly to most viruses, has the nasty habit of evolving over time, in the case of Badware, it evolves by creating more clones of itself, from its adventures of hacking into computers, Badware has inevitably stumbled into other viruses and evolved them using parts of it's own code, making them similarly artificial amalgamated bodies to continue spreading it's influence, however oddly, unlike Badware itself, each "peon" seems to have their own personality and methods to infect other devices with, some being more passive and tricking civilians with false kindness, while others are hyper aggressive, and take over machines by any means necessary, in some cases leading to outright destroying them if it can't grab them any other way. Badware is rather careless with its own body, knowing it can simply make a new one, or repair its current if need be, because of this it sends to use the full extent of it's body when attacking, typically slamming into it's target full force in an attempt to subdue them quickly, and if that fails it has no problem playing the long game with it's immense bulk. However Badware is almost always near other technology, Badware seemingly works off of nearby technology to empower itself, using multiple machines to increase how efficiently its body can preform actions. It is imperative to attempt to limit and stop the usage of nearby machines as much as possible in a confrontation with Badware, though ultimately any conflict will always result in lost resources from the contender, and almost nothing from Badware. Due to the destructive nature of Badware, a lot of important information saved digitally has been lost, including a lot of scientific breakthroughs, such damages will take many years to recover. The Government has made a strong effort to eliminate as much technology in any area as possible, and is working with engineers to create more "safe" machinery that Badware can't infect, allowing them to continue functioning as normal. As stated earlier, this also has lead to the Government substantially upgrading their own firewalls, giving the Government alone access to cell phones and other tech to make communication easier, a lot of other technology has regressed quite a lot. Many civilians obviously were against such a heavy limitation, especially those with loved ones a long ways away, but as times have progressed, they have grown accustomed to it. Some have even smuggled items like their phone or computer to continue using it as normal, running the risk to be confronted with Badware or one of its peons at a moment's notice. The Government is well aware that at this moment in time, fully stopping Badware is impossible, as long as a fragment of its code is out there, there is no possible way of stopping it. The only option is to fully destroy every last machine there is and start over from scratch, but that frankly just isn't possible. Despite this, the Government is still tinkering with the virus in a very limited dose, attempting to find a way to remove it, or at least efficiently fry it off of a computer. It's a very uphill battle, but some engineers believe that there is a way to defeat Badware in its own game. Some have even suggested some form of injection that would convert Badware into a helpful program, though it's very unlikely, it could feasibly be an alternative route to go in order to get back in control of technology, though many fear the possibility of Badware breaking free and going rogue again after the fact.
