Has been through a lot as a child (abuse, losing his parents, bullying) and therefore now he’s an adult he thinks everyone else should be able to deal with all their problems as well, especially when he doesn’t believe they can possibly be as bad as what he went through. May show more compassion when he finds students that really have been through hell and back.

Stanton is rich and out of touch with the lives of most of his students. His parents died when he was young but they left him millions of dollars, who despite the situation he never really had to struggle. He feels as if the world has been harsh towards him but the reality is simply that he’s been privileged and lucky his entire life, despite the turbulence he’s experienced too. He always lands on his feet if things go wrong.
