Kuvira

Name: Kuvira Beifong (Kuvira works) Gender: Female Backstory: abandoned by her mother and father by the age of eight, Kuvira found herself in the hands of the master metalbender Suyin Beifong(Su) who raised her as her own. Though, Kuvira felt like an outcast by her new siblings and eventually even her new parents. Growing up to attempt to please her foster mother she joined her elite dance troupe and became captain of her guard, valiantly fending off the city from formidable foes such as the red lotus. In an attempt to gain much needed attention from her foster family, she begun dating one of Su's sons, Baatar Jr, who was a skilled engineering student. A few months after the red lotus incident, the earth queen was assassinated, and after her foster mother refused to help Kuvira stepped in with many members of the Zaofu guard, elite, and Baatar Jr. She single-handedly stabilized the capital of Ba Sing Se and went on to stabilize the rest of her kingdom, going from town to town by train and capturing bandits and dissenters in concentration camps. Most towns joined willingly, but when they wouldn't she would refuse to aid them until they'd join up. This gained her the title of the Great Uniter and eventually she declared independence from the earth king, forming the earth Empire. Soon after this the Avatar caught wind of what she was doing, leading to her eventual downfall when she attempted to take over Republic City with a superweapon. She shot at (but missed) her now Ex Fiancé Baatar Jr, destroyed half the city, and eventually surrendered to Korra after the Avatar talked her down from her madness and saw to her more fragile good qualities.
