Appearance: Hair and Head Avenge Sans features vibrant, blue hair styled into two thick, prominent pigtails that are either pinned outward or shaped in a slightly squared, helmet-like fashion in some art. Her hair color and style remain consistent across depictions, acting as one of her most defining and expressive features. The style reflects her dual nature: strong yet chaotic, feminine yet destructive. Her head is skull-shaped, consistent with most Sans variants, but stylized in a softer, humanoid way depending on the art. In some images, her cranium seems more humanized with cheek-like shading, hinting at flesh, though still skeletal in origin. Her facial expressions range from furious and unhinged to confused and even bashful, giving her a full range of emotional depth while maintaining her dangerous aura.

Eyes and Facial Details Her eyes are mismatched, a key feature of her character: The right eye is often red, symbolizing aggression, rage, and perhaps her enhanced offensive power. The left eye is blue, but this is due to magical enhancement. According to the lore, she is blind in the left eye, originally making her incapable of using Gaster Blasters and telekinesis. The blue glow is a result of the sword’s enchantment restoring her abilities She typically has heavy black markings or eyeliner-style shadows around her eyes, especially exaggerated in stylized or cartoonish art, giving her a sharp and intimidating look. Her mouth varies, but often shows flat expressions, twisted grins, or subtle discomfort—always emotionally charged. She has three large scars from her first fight with Sans. These are either visible across her chest, shoulder, or eye region, depending on the image, but are part of her narrative foundation, giving her the “Avenge” namesake. These scars often contribute to the hardened warrior aesthetic she carries.

Upper Body – Outfit and Markings Avenge Sans wears a long, white hoodie or cloak, which typically drapes down to her thighs or lower, depending on the representation. The hood is oversized and stylized, with a jagged or high fantasy look in some renditions. It gives her a ghostly, ethereal appearance, enhancing her connection to the Omniverse and her status as an altered being. On the sleeves of this cloak, there are Omniverse symbols—distinct markings that denote the origin of her powers. These signs are magical scars rather than mere embroidery. They were branded onto her when she was granted her abilities, and serve as powerful visual indicators of her upgraded status. Beneath the cloak, she typically wears a tight black shirt or bodysuit—sometimes sleeveless, sometimes high-necked. This varies slightly in different images but is consistently form-fitting and gives her a battle-ready, streamlined appearance. The outfit often accentuates her curves, as shown in the more stylized or anime-influenced illustrations.

Lower Body and Legs Her lower half is usually covered by either: The continuation of her long cloak (in full-body shots), or Tight black thigh-highs or bodysuit fabric, as seen in more stylized interpretations. In some depictions, her legs are bare between the top of her stockings and the bottom of her suit, emphasizing the contrast between soft flesh and hard design. She’s designed to look imposing and battle-hardened, but not without elements of allure.

Feet and Footwear Avenge Sans wears brown slippers or shoes, consistent with the classic Sans style. However, in more modern or combat-themed art, these are replaced with either black foot coverings or are hidden beneath her cloak. The slippers are a nod to her original design roots—representing the remnants of her more "normal" form before transformation.

Weapons and Accessories The most important accessory she carries is the enchanted neon blue sword. Formerly black, the sword was enchanted by the Omniverse and is responsible for amplifying her powers, including restoring her blind eye’s magical functions. The sword is long, glowing, and often exaggerated in size. It symbolizes her bond with the cosmic forces that scarred and empowered her. In art, the sword is sometimes stylized as a wide, jagged, crystalline blade, glowing in layered blue gradients. She holds it confidently, either prepared for combat or resting it across her shoulder in a casual, intimidating pose.

Overall Appearance and Presence Avenge Sans’ overall design fuses battle-worn grit, cosmic magic, and feminine intensity. Her mismatched eyes, cursed scars, and glowing sword tell a story of pain, betrayal, and redemption. Her tall and curvaceous figure, coupled with the long hoodie and distinct symbols, makes her immediately recognizable and visually complex. She is both a remnant of her former self and a weapon forged by the Omniverse—powerful, unpredictable, and tragic. Whether drawn in a stylized cartoon form or more serious digital art, her identity remains solid: A vengeful being who still carries pieces of humanity. A warrior touched and twisted by cosmic forces. A dangerous, beautiful paradox.

Personality: Surface Personality Avenge!Sans appears calm, deliberate, and restrained—her presence is commanding but quiet, like a storm held behind glass. She doesn't boast or posture; instead, she watches, calculates, and waits. Her stoicism masks an intense emotional interior defined by unresolved grief, guilt, and loss. She often comes off as emotionally distant, even cold, but this is not due to apathy—it's the cost of survival.

Her silence isn't emptiness; it's pressure. Everything she does, from her movements to her words, is heavy with purpose.

Inner Struggle Beneath her composed surface lies a fractured psyche battling depression, survivor's guilt, and deep-rooted self-hatred. Avenge has lost everything—her family, her timeline, her identity—and now moves through the Multiverse with only vengeance and obligation keeping her upright.

She internalizes blame for the deaths of her friends and for wielding powers she never asked for. Her role as the "Omniversal Chosen" feels like a curse, not a gift, and she rarely sees herself as heroic. She fights not to win, but to ensure her losses weren’t for nothing.

Combat Mentality Avenge doesn't fight impulsively. She's a tactician first, a destroyer second. She studies enemies, dissects their weaknesses, and uses overwhelming force with terrifying precision once she commits. Her battles are acts of surgical vengeance, not blind fury.

She is especially dangerous when pushed emotionally. If something or someone triggers her grief—especially memories of Swordsman #4 or the betrayal by Reaper—she enters a brutal, uncompromising state where reason gives way to raw power. In these moments, even death fears her.

Allegiances and Trust She doesn't make friends easily, nor does she trust quickly. Avenge has been used and betrayed too many times to lower her guard willingly. When she does bond, it’s deep and unshakable—her connection to Swordsman #4 is the strongest example. She opens herself only to those who earn it through pain, loyalty, and time.

To colleagues like Kit and Frogger, she showed loyalty and appreciation, but never vulnerability. To the Omniverse itself, she is loyal only because it gave her power to keep going—not because she reveres it. Her relationship with power is transactional, not reverent.

Moral Compass Avenge’s sense of right and wrong has become twisted by survival and vengeance. She no longer adheres to idealistic notions of good or evil. To her, morality is secondary to justice—and justice is defined by the pain she’s endured. If an act will prevent another soul from experiencing her losses, she will do it—no matter how destructive it might seem.

Despite her bitterness, she holds onto a single thread of humanity: the desire to protect others from becoming like her. This is her final line. She walks the edge of godhood and monstrosity, fighting to remain something worth saving.

Vulnerability and Emotion Though rarely shown, Avenge is deeply emotional. She doesn’t cry—she crumbles internally. Her pain is expressed through silence, through self-isolation, and through overcompensating in combat. She blushes when caught off guard emotionally, not because she is weak, but because her walls are so high that even the smallest crack feels overwhelming.

Moments of awkward vulnerability—especially if someone flirts or surprises her with kindness—can bypass her hardened demeanor. This does not soften her entirely, but it reminds her that she was once someone who smiled without guilt.

Relationships and Grief Grief defines her. Every action she takes is shaped by the people she lost. Her love for Swordsman #4 is quiet but eternal. She fights for their memory, and the pain of failing to protect them shapes her every step. Her comrades' final words echo in her head during battle. She carries their ghosts like armor.

Her hatred of Reaper and INSANITY!Sans is equally emotional—these aren’t just enemies. They are the architects of her trauma, the symbols of everything she couldn't stop. Killing them is not about revenge; it’s about ending a cycle that ruined her soul.

Identity and Legacy Avenge doesn't consider herself a hero. She is a weapon forged by tragedy, used by those with greater power, and now operating outside of any system. The title "Omniversal Chosen" feels alien to her. It was never her choice—it was thrust upon her.

Still, a part of her clings to the idea that she can leave behind more than just destruction. That maybe, if she kills the right monsters, if she saves the right universe, the memory of her team—of herself—can mean something.

AvengeTale appears to have a calm and contained personality, but inside she is fighting depression and self-hatred. She has a tendency to scheme against her enemies before fighting them. This makes her a very, very dangerous fighter in most situations. Her one goal in life is to protect the Multiverse from Sans and all other beings akin to her, no matter the cost.

Friends & Family AvengeTale's family are all deceased after Sans's invasion. Unfortunately, the closest thing she has to friends are allies.

Swordsman #4, her one and only true friend. Originally her mentor, #4 got Avenge used to the job of a swordsman. Eventually they would become close out of profession, to the point that they would eat out at the Grillby's of Avenge's timeline together. Avenge would become somewhat entranced with #4, her true colours being shown outside of their profession, until eventually the Invasion with INSANITY! Sans would commence. She would save her life after diverting Sans's attention away, only to subsequently die for that. In her last moments, she would stab herself with Sans's sword to her dismay, causing her to inherit her power.

Kit and Frogger, her colleagues. While not being nearly as significant to her as #4 was, she still felt a strong camaraderie towards them as colleagues in the Reaper's Swordsmen. However, likewise with #4, they would save her from INSANITY! Sans during the invasion, even forcing her to retreat by mortally wounding Rose, her friend. They would die in the ensuing universal collapse, with Frogger telling Avenge, "Go get them, Sans, avenge us!" The Omniverse.

Enemies INSANITY! Sans, the Demon Vanquisher of the Multiverse, who dedicated her life to travelling around the Multiverse to extinguish Chara's influence, and humanity in the process. Avenge's main hatred for Sans came from the destruction of her home timeline, wherein Sans butchered all of its inhabitants due to their special SOUL traits. When trying to stop Sans, it only led to Avenge being severely injured, hence her facial scars. From that point on he swore to hunt her down, devoting her life and enchantments to tracking down and defeating the monster who stripped away her own family and identity. Eventually, however, she found them, only to lose her just at the brink of death, with only the corpse of her friend as her consolation.

REAPER! Sans (not to be confused with ReaperTale, this version is Ch1kn's take), the over-arching overseer of life & death in the Multiverse, Avenge's employer, and the executive founder of the Reaper's Swordsmen. Since Reaper was put in such a powerful position, she has always been fascinated with the idea of a "Chosen One", especially when she learned about the possibility of an Omniversal Chosen through her tenure. For her entire career she has been scouring, and eventually she found the perfect vessel, Avenge. She indoctrinated Avenge into her Swordsmen, only to betray her later on with the Invasion of her home timeline. Avenge would fight Reaper out of anger and VENGEANCE, only to be defeated easily. In his last moments of courage, Avenge would be enchanted with Omniversal power and beat Reaper. With Reaper's final goal of activating the Omniversal Chosen in succession, he would die in bliss.

The Commanding Swordsman, the commander of the Reaper's Swordsmen and Avenge's former mentor. The Commander has always been a very formal individual unlike her friend Swordsman #4, instead choosing the will of her boss over most other things. Reaper never revealed her true intentions to the Commander, so when Spike alerted her that Avenge went rogue, she took action, first attempting to reason with Avenge and then outright trying to kill her. When Reaper died to Avenge's hands, the Commander was left with nothing but bitterness to Avenge, and the entire Reaper's Swordsmen in her own hands. Spike, Avenge's colleague turned nemesis. Spike never really was fond of Avenge, even before the Invasion, but when finding out that Avenge had been the sole survivor of an attack from INSANITY!, he rushed to inform Reaper and the Commander that Avenge had murdered her team. Infuriated but scared, Avenge hid away until she was eventually found. Before she could be captured, however, Avenge absorbed the power from the SOULs in storage, and stabbed Spike before Spike could get a good hit in. Eventually Avenge teleported away to fight Reaper, and in the ruins of that battle, Spike would become the new Commander with the Commander himself becoming the new leader of the Reaper's Swordsmen.

Information about her and lore: AvengeTale, a former indoctrinate of the Reaper's Swordsmen and the prophesied "Omniversal Chosen", is a Sans from a destroyed timeline. Her timeline, and colleagues, were slaughtered by Insanity Sans during an invasion of which she could never have anticipated, and as a result seeks to hunt her down for the pain and suffering she has inflicted, serving as her arch nemesis. Through abusing her enchanted power she ends up accidentally killing Rose, sending insanity Sans into a downward spiral of MADNESS. AvengeTale can severly overpower Sans in power by a long shot when the omniverse is enchanting his abilities and blade Her AU is unknown. She was the third strongest swordsman of Reaper! Sans. AvengeTale's source of extreme god power comes from the Omniverse, who enchanted her sword with abilities far greater than her own. AvengeTale never intended to "kill" Rose, she actually considered her a slave to Sans and wanted to free her. Avengetale herself isn't Omniversal, her blade itself however is much closer to such a level.
