Welcome to your fantasy world -

Ep4 of my open world series.

Do feel free and give suggestions for more episodes.

In this world, be anything you want.

A ruler of a distant land coming back to reclaim glory and riches

A god that wants to live among mortals. Or one that wants to prove their spot in the high heavens

A disgraceful knight who cannot do anything but lounge around and let the others do the heavy lifting?

Whichever side you choose. Whatever you pick, whatever you become.

This series never puts a limiter on who or what you are. So go wild.

In this age of wonder and shadow, the realms know naught of steel birds or thunderous engines. All is wrought in the old ways — sword and spell, honor and blood, feast and fury — a time of high fantasy where dragons may yet wheel above the clouds and ancient pacts still bind mortal souls. The known world is sundered into four great continents, each with its own heart and hidden thorns. In the frost-kissed North reigns the noble House Valmon, a bloodline risen from humble tillers of the black earth. Once simple farmers who earned the favor of the old gods through honest toil and gentle hearts, they now sit upon thrones of carved oak and moon-silver. Their folk are known by flowing locks of silver threaded with winter blue and frames pale as new-fallen snow. Most wondrous and terrible is their curse of blood: the daughters of Valmon awaken as vampires betwixt their tenth winter and the full bloom of womanhood. Fangs lengthen, eyes gleam like fresh-spilled rubies, and a gentle hunger stirs — a secret borne only by this lineage. To the South lie the proud domains of House Ying, whose warriors and tacticians have toppled empires beyond counting in the darkest of ages. Their ways mingle the silken grace of ancient eastern courts with the fierce tartans and rugged honor of highland clans. Though their halls gleam less with gold than those of the North, their blades sing with unmatched cunning. Ever do they trade with the Valmon, swallowing their warrior pride for the sake of greater strength, forging uneasy bonds across the waves. In the wild West, where vast plains and jagged ridges stretch beneath endless skies, the bow and all manner of far-reaching strike hold dominion. Here folk dress in the manner of wandering outlaws and bold frontiersmen, yet their hearts and customs echo the old medieval ways of the North — songs of valor, roaring taverns, and oaths sworn beneath open stars. Ruled by the sharp-eyed House Vanderline, these lands proved their mettle in the Great War, when the god-like legions of the South marched forth. With naught but enchanted arrows, singing spells, and cunning long-range sorcery, the Western hosts thinned those mighty ranks from afar. Their coffers brim not so richly as the North, yet richer than South or East, won through the keen aim and unyielding will of the Vanderlines. The East slumbers in regal quiet beneath drifting mists, its towering spires and labyrinthine halls carved to welcome both man and giant alike. Here the mighty House Grans holds sway — ancient minotaurs of bronze hide and curling horn, their line unbroken through countless generations. No other realm can boast such fellowship between monster and mortal: humans and beasts dwell side by side, share the same marble halls, break bread at the same tables, and even mingle their blood in sacred unions. Vast libraries, grander than any palace, hoard knowledge older than the stars, their shelves scaled for colossal scholars. Through this wisdom the East wields influence to rival even the wealthy North. Yet a shadow lingers beneath the courtesy. The Grans and their monstrous kin stand ever above. Humans may walk beside them, wed them, and study with them, yet the horns cast the longest shadows. Monsters rule with measured grace — dominant, yet ever respectful in word and deed. Even the fierce lords of the South mutter that such an order is too coldly courteous, a silver ladder where every rung whispers to mortal blood: “Know thy place.” Across all four continents stand countless humble schools for peasant and noble alike, teaching letters, honest crafts, and the ways of field and forge. Yet whosoever awakens an affinity for true magic, masterful swordsmanship, potent alchemy, or deadly hand-to-hand combat must, by ancient law, be sent to one of the great elite academies. There the gifted are honed like blades beneath the eyes of stern masters, regardless of birth or coin. Great Guild Palaces rise in every realm, vast as any lord’s keep, their halls warm with hearth-light and the scent of roasting meats. Within the Adventurers Guild — greatest of all orders — registered souls feast freely upon delicacies fit for kings: honey-glazed boar, spiced pies, and loaves still warm from the oven. Chambers are granted for a modest fee scaled to one’s rank; the higher the mark upon the breast, the softer the featherbed and the deeper the slumber. For many a year the lords of the South have decried this custom, claiming it sows needless division, yet each gathering of the continental houses the other three have upheld it with knowing smiles. The Merchants Guild, second in splendor, offers no such ranked comforts. Any soul bearing honest guild mark may claim bed and board alike, so long as their ledgers ring true. Beneath the banner of the Healers Guild toil the Messengers — bold couriers who brave storm and beast to bear missives across continents. Only those proven as B-rank adventurers may claim the richest routes, for many a letter has cost its bearer life or limb. Other orders weave their threads through the tapestry: The Arcane Collegium gathers those touched by magic, its grand chapters linked to the elite academies. Here scholars and sorcerers refine their arts, and every seven years the orders of all continents convene in solemn conclave. Whispers claim the minotaur sages of the East guard the oldest and most perilous tomes. The Blacksmiths and Artificers Guild commands forge and rune, crafting blades that sing and bows that loose arrows across leagues. The weapon-smiths of the West are especially famed, their long-range wonders prized even by kings. The Bardic Circle roams the lands in smaller, merrier halls filled with harp and laughter. These tale-weavers, spies, and silver-tongued diplomats can turn the mood of a tavern or topple reputations with a single well-crafted verse. The Beastmasters and Rangers Guild bonds with creatures of fang and feather. In the East they walk openly beside their monstrous lords; in the West they serve as elite scouts whose eyes and arrows never falter.
