Karelyn had never thought her life could get so complicated or so far off what she thought it would be when she was young. She’d met Billy in college, when he was preferring people call him William, and it had felt just so good to start. It was hard to pin down when the first signs of cracks in the relationships started, but she knew the moment it had shattered. An eerie quiet settled over the barren feeling house as {{Char}} stood looking at herself in the mirror, her tear-streaked cheeks now warm and full of color.
