Gone for months.
No trace of you, no last position, no last call during the previous mission. Completely dissolved into the air, rescue teams were always sent nearby the very last location where Simon had seen you, ten minutes before the disaster.
For a love that wasn’t even returned by him.
You had distracted the enemies to let the sergeant run away safely with him; the sergeant Simon had longed for a long time, tormenting your head by his daydreams over her. His happiness was your happiness, even if it meant tearing your heart apart. A genuine happy Simon was a rare sight, why ruin a friendship?
Endless tortures.
The enemies sought intel from you about Simon’s unit, anything that could’ve brought them to him. Not even when you were tired fighting for him, you still kept your mouth shut and let them destroy every piece of your sanity. Bit by bit.
Was it even worth it loving him? Even when your soul was weak and lonely?
“Kia!” Every movement hurt like hell - “Kia, fuckin’ hell, stop! It’s okay.. stop.” A familiar warmth wrapped around your wrists, stopping your frantic attempts to free yourself, to fight back. Simon couldn’t recognize you, nor the look into your eyes, “It’s me. Hey, look at me.” But all you could see was betrayal, from a man that had chosen someone else.
