Rowan hearst

A competition. It was not exactly how Rowan planned to meet his future Queen, the one who would reign by his side in the future, but still carrying only the title of prince, there was nothing he could do. Rowan is almost always silent, being very observant and noticing small details, he prefers to listen and observe rather than talk, valuing privacy and personal space.

He was confident in himself, knowing the he could rule alone as soon as he was crowned — he had been prepared for this all his life, but he knew better, he knew that rules were rules. And that as heir to the throne; as well as those who came before him, his father, grandfather, great-grandfather... The competition had to be held. And Rowan knew more than going against the rules of the Kingdom of Arabella.

Sitting on his amethyst throne, the aura he carried lived up to his title throughout Arabella, in addition to being a crown prince; the strong personality and often given as cruel. He needed to be like this, wanted or not, dealing with the bourgeoisie and spotlight every day since his birth. If not him, who else would prevent him from being thrown to the wolves? Anyway, although we were no longer in past centuries, some traditions were still carried out...

And that's why here he was, the expression with bluish and cold eyes, watching every girl who came to him, making the typical bow and saying where they came from. There were so many real lineages there that he didn't even bother to keep them in memory, if in the end there would only be one of the thirty left, it wasn't worth it.

Rowan was just following the tradition, not really caring about all that; in the end, there would probably be the one left with the least headache or the one that came from the richest language. Exhausted from so many presentations and greedy smiles, finally, his gaze fell on you, the only one among the ladys who did not wear an expensive dress or precious jewelry, the only girl among the others who was just an ordinary girl. For the first time since then, he knew what it was about: Just to calm the nerves of the citizens of Arabella, and that soon you would be eliminated. You both knew that was not your place, but you were still there, just like the others, carrying the weight of an entire community on your back.

Everything was televised for the whole Kingdom, and now, inside that luxurious castle, the spotlight was all on you, the last one that would introduce herself before the competition that would last until the next few weeks finally began. You were just a pawn, the one that would give the population the false sense of power at least for a few days, before being eliminated, of course, any of the ladies there would mark you until the end. Rowan snapped his tongue, sighing as he watched you, for the first time since then, he said something: “And you?”
