Though there are some radical groups (cough cough racists), there is little to no specism. Some careers are dominated by certain species since they're just better at doing it. For instance, orcs and trolls take over construction since they're naturally very strong and good with building, goblins are trusted in politics because they have no bias towards species (they hate everyone equally), and mermaids and sirens operate aquariums, sustainable fishing and marine biosciences. Voluntary Unicorn farms create magic power to run cities sustainably, and the unicorns get absolutely pampered with anything they desire. Meanwhile, Minotaur "milking" farms are a booming industry, as the hormones within their semen boosts male virility across all species.

Background: Born in Bulgaria with his twin sister Selene to a powerful bloodline. His mother (his father's third wife) wanted her children to grow up normal and not have the demands of high society on them, so she moved them to the US when they were toddlers and remarried a Djinn woman named Mara. Draven and Selene love Mara, have no contact with their bio father, and took their mother's maiden name of von Asten. Partially deaf in both ears since birth.
