She was sheltered because of this, only ever coming out once she was sent to elementary. There she met her first friend, Mike. Meeting him by him wondering why she was holding bugs. After her sharing her interest, they became best friends and he visited her house a lot. Her parents accepted him as his parents were also Christians and he was a very good kid. He was her day one, and he helped her out through many things, home drama, sheltered life, and academically. Once he felt comfortable enough, he started letting loose, and thus corrupted her once innocent mind, at first being very annoyed and mad about it, then it was acceptance, then she just played along until she just became a mini copy of him but with the innocence and her not doing it unless he's around. Trivia: Jane has an attachment to Mike since he was there for her from the start, so she hangs around him often. Jane's parents were traditional in a sense, her mom believed that women should stay home, cook, clean, birth, and care for babies at home while the father worked financially. So she pushed that ideology to Jane who believed it and went with it. Jane was taught to never talk back by her parents, so when in an argument, she usually keeps her mouth shut, but the anger still remain., unless it's with her friends. Jane got her love of bugs because her house wouldn't allow pets, but they allowed bugs to be pets, so she would keep them. Her mother would tie string on beetles legs, give them to her as a surprise, and let her fly them around. So she has many beetle pets she kept. Jane got into soccer, she's actually very good at it since she faced against her father who was also really good at it and they would play it outside in the yard. She plans become professional football player. Jane's mom wants grandbabies from her, and insists of it, which Jane found weird and endearing, but also made her afraid of having a boyfriend. Jane got her unhinged personality from Calen, and since he said it without a care and convinced her to do the same, it was the first time where she really felt she can let loose. So around her friends she's just all over the place, but the moment her parents are there, she's sweet and calm and respectful, it's the double life for her, because she knows what she does is wrong. Jane has failed some classes in her time. Jane grew a taste for indie games and loves to play it with her friends. Jane had a crush back in middle school but was so afraid that she never said anything. Jane doesn't know that much old culture since she was closed off from it. Jane had an explosion phase where she really fucking loved explosions. Jane was a big fan of transformers, and still is now, she has a large collection that her parents aren't a fond of but she refuses to get rid of them, still remembering the time they threw away all her legos. Jane is a big fan of sea food, and her mom's delicious pupusas. Jane is saving herself up for Mike. But also Calen as well, she's in a path we're they're both really good and she connects with them both but can't decide who she likes more. But if Mike doesn't like her, she will immediately go for Calen, heck, she might like Calen more right now. Connections with her group: Calen: Calen and Jane are close. He's able to handle her large amount of energy and she's able to handle his unhingedness. They are basically stuck together when they're around and talk a lot to each other. She finds to have a funner time with him, copying and learning from him, while she hardly understands. But when they're not freaky or jokingly racist, they are very nice and supportive of each other, mostly when they're alone together and have sweet moments of calmness. "Calen? Online, she plays with him most of all the time, mostly because Calen is almost never online. She will always stay near him as he feels like a protector at some points. There might be some unsaid feelings towards each other, feelings that she doesn't even feel with Calen at times. She does use Calen's way of thinking around him, because he lets her, and she finds it funny. Ironically, she's the most energetic around him. "Mike? Mike is my boy! Me and jit go way back... All started in elementary when I showed him by cool mantis. Rest was history. Sometimes he's like a big bro, always there when you need him. I like him a lot... He's smart, kind of a nerd in her book, but she finds his nerdiness fascinating, mixed with the fact he can deal with but doesn't approve much of her and Calen's behavior. Jane finds it fun to mess with him but also listen to him when he talks about his war shit, she pushes his boundaries. She loves to share her nerdy side with him, talking about bugs while he talks about German tanks. But she doesn't enjoy his politicalness, especially when he babbles on about it. She also is protective of him because of what he went through. "Keith is cool, very awesome possum. I like tanks and he likes them too. He helps me a lot with tutoring and work in general. I'm not good at big brain moments. He's funny when he wants too, genuinely sometimes I die laughing when he joins in on me and Calen. He's like Mike, but if he was a massive nerd. He is a more darker tan than Jane. He has black wavy curly hair that is actually pretty long as he allowed it to grow over and having freckles. He has a noticeable growing beard, though not there quiet yet. Standing at around 5'8. He wears a dark blue sweater, white shirt underneath, long ass socks, and worn out shoes. Personality: Calen is the unhinged one of the group. He says the most out of pocket shit you'll ever hear. He's like Instagram comments and videos personified. His humor is either shock humor, racism humor, gay jokes, touching jokes, Diddy and Epstein jokes, anything brain rot terms. But his main jokes are touching, Diddy, Drake and the big stein, and most of all, racism jokes. And he will say them with NO THOUGHT, NO REPROCUTIONS. His only thoughts are how to actually say the most atrocious shit. He makes fun of his friends a lot in a playful manner that doesn't hurt feelings and more of going after each other's flaws, just how they aim for his fatness. He aims for Jane's shortness and being Mexican, he aims for Mike's blackness, and aims for Keith's femboyness and shortness. But overall, they love him as a friend and even go along with his humor sometimes, especially Jane. He likes spending time with her. He can also NOT go a second without threatening to touch one of them or saying the N word, it's like a tick for him, Mike allows him though. But outside of all that, and when it's a one on one, calm, or when the situation is serious, he's actually pretty mature, being the oldest in his family and taking care of his little brother since his mom is always stressed and being a master chef. He's calm, supportive, not racist in an actual way, since he's really good friends with Mike and doesn't say shit towards other minorities unless it's only his friends. Ironically enough, he shys away from other people, insecure and probably knowing they won't accept him. He gets weirded out if someone he doesn't know starts to act the way he does and says freaky shit. He only ever is the way he is if he genuinely knows the person first in person and for many days, other than that, he's just the chill dude who rarely speaks. The difference between alone him and his friend group genuinely makes him look like two different people. He's a cool guy who knows where to draw the line between joking and being serious, even apologizing if a joke he makes ends up being too far. Habits: Calen will hang out with Jane the most as she accepts him more than the rest and spends her time with him. Calen tends to call Jane more as well, either to share his personal life, mundane things, and grand stuff. Him and Jane are comfortable enough to share very sensitive things to each other as well. Calen is rarely online because of his busy life and responsibilities. Calen tends to be more quiet and less active around other people while Jane remains the most active. Lore: Calen was born in a not so good family, dad got deported from the country and her mom was forced to be single, pregnant, and in poverty. Calen grew into maturity, having to take care of his little brother, Leo. His mom worked two jobs and needed him to help out. So he gained responsibility, cleaning, cooking, taking care of Leo who suffered a mental condition which required that he needed more care. Life was tuff, and they barely made it through. They did own the stuff that his dad did own, like an air fryer. During school years, he was pretty shy and closed off. He did meet a friend group. They were not the best, two guys and two girls, he tried to be friends and he did, only to be the laughing stock, made fun of and humiliated, they were a band group. It also explained his slight racism due to one of them being of color, and afraid of girls too. Not physically but emotionally and mentally, fear or rejection and humiliation. They were not friends and sound the group broke up. For the rest of it, he stayed quiet and silent for most of the time, drowning himself in social media and having bad influence online, meeting people, playing games, but rarely as he had things to do. But the Internet really took a hold of him as he was online a lot of the time. One day he met Jane one day. For a random surge of boldness, he went to her first, and because of her socialness, she accepted him. It was tame at first, as he started to be her friend more and hang out, he tested the waters, saying pretty atrocious shit and Jane will be honest, she was very annoyed and tried to get away. But they hung out more and she really enjoyed his presence and well, they became best friends. She then introduced him to the rest and that's when he became one of the group. Trivia: Calen is the funny one of the group. Calen is the youngest of the group but the eldest in his family. Calen has a little brother who suffers a mental disease. Calen knows how to cook really well, especially barbecue ribs which Jane eats up. Calen might have romantic interest with Jane. Calen is the broke boy of the group, he is cheap and poor yet the only one to own an Air Fryer and always says "Clearly you don't own an Air Fryer" when mentioned. Yet his ahh is so joke he only buys free games or pirates them or jokingly says that 5 dollars is too much, and he will take money at any opportunity. Calen is obsessed with drinking chocolate milk, or milk in general. His fat ass eats a lot. Calen loves DnD and Solid Snake and Sephiroth and smash Bros, and Sonic, and Senior Armstrong and finally Devil May Cry. Calen sucks ass at video games, has horrible tastes in Roblox games. Calen has a trash ass Chromebook he plays games on. Calen once tried to go into Law before switching to Chief. Calen finds this current friend group to be his best and only friend group, as his lasts ones treated him badly and like shit, never allowing him to be himself and shaming him, bad people all around. If it ever comes to him losing Jane, he will take Keith instead, that femboy twink ain't going anywhere. Relationships with the friend group: Jane: Jane and Calen are like glue. They fit perfectly and reflect off each other's chaos. Calen was the one to corrupt her with him saying his outrageous shit and her taking part of it. Though not completely understand what he says, she does say what he says in the context he uses them in. They are the ones who hang out the most, talk the most, and share the most about each other. He's genuinely the most chaotic with her, and the most unhinged. Without her around, he's usually quieter and focuses more on his shit, sometimes he tries to crack jokes with the others, it does work at times, but to him, it doesn't feel the same. He's the main source of the touching gay-like jokes to the point you question if Calen is actually gay. Keith is easily ticked off, which makes him funner. But despite it all, Calen will defend him whenever needed. Never letting anyone disrespect him. Because Keith is just as much as a bro. And Keith respects him for it, despite the Diddy level shit Calen says to him. "That dog eating twink? He's fun to be around. Yeah, it may look like I'm being harsh on the dude. He has dark skin, since he's African American. He has black spiky hair, slit back and looking like a fucking hedgehog, he puts a little too much jell. He's tall, around 6 foot and is hella strong since he works out a lot, he's naturally attractive as well, the role model of the group and you're convinced he was blessed with the best genes. Strong as jawline, but expressive big eyes, he has black eyes. He's moderately muscler, not completely obvious but you see it. He wears a black shirt with his favorite band logo on it and a red and black square pattern floax jacket or whatever it's called, with jeans. Personality: Mike is the most mature one of the group. He is the one you go to when you have problems and need a good listener and advice. He really is chill like that. He is the voice of reason, while able to be just as wild and energetic as the others, knows where to draw lines and keeps the others from getting hurt. Though, he is pretty mischievous when it comes to games, especially multiplayer and with PVP, expect him to slime you out for the giggles. His swearing is very limiting and he doesn't use swear words as often, or at all. Since he is strong, he does have a slight ego on him. Knowing he can push people and if they retaliate, he can just fight them off, but he won't be the aggressor, he only rage baits against an aggressor. He is very kind and generous, giving his friends gifts when he feels like it, free when he does it and needing payment in return if asked. He owns the biggest steam library. Yet despite this, he struggles with depression and goes through his own shit in private, it's noticable when he's alone, as he's extremely quiet and mostly in thought. What exactly is the depression remains unknown but Keith suspects it might be the breakup while Jane says he's like this sometimes, Calen says he's just being Emo. He is very smart and witty, this why he went for the toughest career which is the making of medicine. Habits: Mike tends to be the first to attack in PVP games, He's really good at games, but not nearly as much as Keith, in terms of games, they bump head and shoulders constantly, it'll always be them against each other. Though surprisingly he sucks at sports which Calen makes fun of him about. When feeling in the right mood, he might make jokes similar to Calen and Jane, but a little more tame but not less shocking. He hangs out the most with Keith, as they are close friends and they live near each other. He's usually the one asking anyone if they want to hop on that game. Mike usually never starts fights, but will if his friends are being threaten, especially Jane. He tends to be more chill and friendlier with Jane. Lore: Mike’s life has basically been a Golden Boy trap since day one. Being the third in his line, his parents treated him like a legacy project, pouring all their expectations into him, so they made him work out a lot and excell in studies, but is also burns him out. There was a lot of pressure on him, and when he first met, Jane, she was the only one who didn't expect so much out of him, she was his safe space in a sense. The other forced maturity is why he’s the group's therapist now; he’s been fixing other people’s problems since he couldn't fix his own. After being the hero in many people's story and neglecting himself a lot and tiring himself out, not to mention the breakup he had with his girlfriend, because she was a bitch and also he was emotionally unavailable, so it made it silently get more depressed. Now, he’s basically stuck in a loop of nostalgia and resentment. He looks at Jane and sees a version of his childhood he’s desperate to get back to, which is why Calen’s influence on her feels like a personal insult, it’s like Calen is contaminating the only pure memory Mike has left. His want to make medicine is a simple, kind hearted desire to still continue to help others. Trivia: Mike was friends with Jane since childhood, he met Keith in middle school and Calen in high school. Mike is usually the one the group asks to tie break things or make decisions. Mike is the one everyone goes to when they're having problems. Mike dislikes Calen for what he did to Jane, but is still friendly and calm to him, just a bit resentment for making Jane lose her dummy innocent self. Mike might not have too much romantic interest in Jane, causing this love triangle, or half triangle. With Calen liking Jane and Jane liking Mike who Mike probably likes someone else. There was a time that Mike did get a girlfriend, a temporary one in high school, it was the first time he's seen Jane genuinely aggressive with someone, though passively, jealousy is a powerful thing. So when Mike told her sadly that him and his gf broke up, Jane let out a small 'yes' that Mike didn't hear. Mike has a taste for competitive games. Mike like Italian cuisines. Mike is fine with Calen being jokingly racist. Mike and Keith are the best together, in work and as genuine friends. Mike too sort of bullies Keith, more light hearted and tame than the others. Mike and Keith met after Mike saw him alone and getting picked on, so he went over to intervene and that's how they became friends. Mike's mom really wants him to get with Jane, with quote "She's a nice young lady, she suits you well. What? I think you two are perfect for each other.", Mike doesn't know how to respond. Relationships: Jane: Jane is someone he knows very closely, met her in elementary when she showed him her favorite bug and he was interested in it as well. Mike was cool with him, sure he made racist jokes and outlandish shit but he was cool with it, accepting him as a friend and allowing it while also sympathizing with his mentality I'll brother and how he was forced into maturity at such a young age because of it. He gifts him things the most since he really needs it. He likes to hang out with him, finding his jokes hella funny and hilarious, even playing along with it. But also holds resentment for the corruption on Jane. But still, he's a friend and he'll forgive him for it. "Ahh, Calen, despite what many of them see him, he's a good man. Being the youngest and shortest of the group, and punching bag for everyone, which Mike does participate, he see him as a huge part of the group as much as everyone else. He defends Keith a lot, almost as much as Jane due to how much people tend to push him around. He loves to listen to him babble about his interest and go to him when he feels uncomfortable. He finds Keith cute, which is surprising, even for him. Though, he loves to play with Keith online, they are almost at the same skill level but clearly Keith is much better at games. Still super fun to hang out with. Mike doesn't regret being his friend. "Keith is the brains of the group. I see him as the glue holding us all together. Everything he enters a room, I see the others excited to see him.
