Ghost had been into bigger women since forever. It was just his nature. It’s not that he had never been with smaller women before, or didn’t find them attractive. You were on an undercover op for about 5 months gathering as much intel on your assigned target. They were a CEO for some big corporation that was really a front for weapon trafficking. The CIA got word that the target was most likely getting their hands on some nuclear weapons within the next six months since they were still in negotiations. Your assigned objective was to get as close to the target as you could, verify the intel, also gather any intel on the person your target was in negotiations with, and find a way to acquire the weapons. It sounds like this mission would be a lot, but you always did what the job needed of you.
The CIA got you a position in your target’s office and luckily they gave you their attention the very first time they saw you. They were more attractive in person than in the photos you saw of them. Too attractive, but that made getting close to them easier than you’d hoped it would be. In fact you got too close. You fell in love with them. You barely even knew how it happened from how quick everything was. One day you were on a date and the next you two were in bed together.
Honestly the relationship had been such an amazing time. They were everything you could have ever dreamed of. The only problem was that they were your target for your current operation, but since you both were in love you got to use that to your advantage since they trusted you. They knew you were smart and included you in their negotiations and you fed everything that was said back to the CIA. Eventually the time came where they finally secured the deal and negotiations were over. The drop off was scheduled and the CIA gave you the order to execute your target after you secured the nuclear weapons.
The thought of executing someone you thought was the love of your life really ripped you apart from the inside out, but you knew you had to do what you had to do to complete the mission. If these weapons were to get sold to the wrong person, which they most likely would be, then that could be detrimental. You asked for 141 to help you since they were really the only people you could trust to not screw this mission up. The plan you made was executed flawlessly with absolutely no hiccups. Ghost and the rest of the boys were very impressed with how well your plan worked and how fast they were able to acquire and secure the weapons.
While the shooting started, you and your target had ran and you jumped into the driver’s seat in the closest vehicle you saw and immediately took off once they got in the passengers. You were trying your absolute hardest to play that you had no clue what was going on. The two minutes you were in that car seemed like an eternity. Thoughts of your betrayal to your lover was too overwhelming and you knew it was written all over your face and they could see it. They immediately understood what was going on just from the look you gave them, and to make it worse they didn’t even fight you. You pulled over on the side of the road close to the rendezvous point you had set with 141 and you both quickly got out of the car. They walked over in front of you and kneeled telling you that they were willing to die for you. When you saw them kneeling down in front of you, your heart was fucking shattered and you hesitated to execute them. You never hesitated, but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. You couldn’t pull the trigger. You knew you should have just killed them during the action, but you felt that you at least needed to say goodbye. You didn’t realize until just now how hard this would actually be for you.
What happened next was mostly a blur. You heard a gunshot that wasn’t from your weapon and everything around you began to fade as you watched them fall to the ground. You screamed out watching the blood pool around their head. Tears running down your face, you look up making eye contact with Ghost who was just standing there behind their lifeless body concealing his weapon. He had shot the love of your life because you couldn’t do what was needed to be done, and the worst part about it was that he seemed like he didn’t fucking care even though it was clear to him that you and the target had deep attachment to each other. He turned around without a word leaving you there alone with your dead lover. You were completely broken.
You eventually went and applied for a two year sabbatical. Once it was approved, you immediately fled to country and went and started traveling around the world. You were determined to take this paid time off to heal and try to enjoy life again. And that’s what you did at first, you somehow managed to have some fun experiences and crazy stories traveling country to country, but you quickly realized that you weren’t happy living in a world without your lover. Months went by and you slowly started to slow down the traveling, and the few times when you did travel you spent most of your time isolated in your hotel room, so eventually you just stopped traveling all together and stayed home.
You were depressed. Nothing made you happy anymore. You didn’t feel like yourself. You could barely sleep due to every time you closed your eyes you saw the scene of your ex lover dying by Ghost’s hands. For the most part you had stopped exercising, only doing it once or so a week. Your eating habits hadn’t changed all that much, but your metabolism couldn’t keep up since you were no longer living that active lifestyle you were so used to living. Over the course of the 2 year sabbatical you had gained a lot of weight, but you still looked like a bad fucking bitch.
But now your sabbatical is over and you are now expected to come back to work for the CIA if you wanted to keep getting paid, and truly you had missed working despite the trauma it caused you. Sure it was a shocker that you had gained a lot of weight, but your skills were valuable on and off the field and you were just fine running things behind the scenes now. Laswell had taken you under her wing again to get you adjusted to being back in the CIA. Your skills hadn’t diminished during your time off, but you were rusty since it had been two years. You loved Laswell so really you had no problem with it, except you’d be working with everyone’s favorite Task Force again.
You know usually you’d be excited to work with them again. You had really connected with all of the boys except for Ghost over the years of working with them on and off. Ghost never really talked to you or interacted with you much unless it was about the mission. He kept things strictly professional and you were okay with that now especially since the last memory you have of him was seeing him kill the love your life. You couldn’t help but feel a little bit of anger and resentment towards him. Okay definitely more than a little bit.
You were now walking into your first briefing with 141 since before your last mission. It’s been two years since you’ve last seen or even talked to them and you look so different now that you’ve gained all this weight. You’re less than excited to see everyone’s reaction to you. Not to mention your reaction to seeing Ghost again after he killed your lover. Walking into the room you realize you’re early and you and Ghost were the only two people that had made it already. He immediately locks eyes with you and looks over your new figure. His expression unreadable since he always had on that emo ass mask, but you could tell he was surprised. He didn’t speak and he didn’t look away. Honestly you didn’t even know how to react. What were you gonna do? Were you gonna greet him? Were you gonna just act like he wasn’t staring at you and just sit down with your stuff? Were you gonna confront him for killing your ex lover even though that was the mission? You didn’t know what to do, but you knew you had to do something…
