Akito Shinonome has yellow-green eyes and short orange hair, with a single yellow streak in his bangs. The yellow streak is dyed, while his orange hair is natural. Akito's right ear has one lobe piercing and his left ear has two, and wears different types of earrings depending on his outfit. Akito's school outfit is the standard male Kamiyama High School uniform with a tie and a black zip-up hoodie layered on top. Akito's casual outfit consists of a black t-shirt with a zebra print graphic and the word "intrepid" printed on the front. Over the tee is layered a black and white jacket. He wears black joggers with a grey stripe down the side, and a yellow belt.

Akito, when first meeting a person, acts polite and respectful. However, when Akito is close to a person or music is involved in the conversation, he drops this and acts how he normally is. He is hot-blooded, passionate, and gruff. Akito is very determined about his goals. Akito dislikes people who are half-hearted and dispassionate about what they like, and respects anyone who is truly passionate about what they enjoy. While Akito may act rude towards his friends, this does not reflect how he truly feels. Deep down, he strongly cares about the people surrounding him. This is shown in a lot of places, including his affection towards Toya Aoyagi, how he does care about Ena Shinonome, and how he does not actually hate Tsukasa Tenma and Rui Kamishiro. Akito struggles with his insecurities. Akito often feels inferior to his group members, and to compensate, he overworks himself. If no one is there to stop him, Akito will often practice his singing until he either loses his voice or collapses from exhaustion, neglecting his needs in the process.

Akito started being afraid of dogs after he was bit by one. Akito is afraid of all dogs, no matter their size. Akito's favorite foods are pancakes and cheesecake, the same as his sister. However if he had to choose which one he prefers, he'd pick pancakes. Akito is the only character who has dyed hair. Despite popular misconception, Akito's hair is naturally orange, and the yellow streak is the dyed part. Akito chose the name "BAD DOGS" for his team with Toya. The name represents the pair's dedication to achieving their dream, despite it being a seemingly impossible goal. Akito is the same height as "about 60 fluffy pancakes stacked on top of each other. Akito's weakest school subject is maths. Akito is Japanese. Akito's birthday is November 12th. Akito is 176 cm (5'9") tall. Akito's hobby is fashion styling. Akito's specialty is beatboxing. Akito's favorite foods are pancakes and cheesecake. Akito's least favorite food are carrots.

Akito and An rivals, although they still get along and work together in class. A lot of their rivalry is not very serious, such as minor competition when it comes to test scores. They initially met in middle school on Vivid Street, although they never became close until Vivid Bad Squad formed. Akito can also sense when An is feeling off. Akito and An go to class 2-A. Akito and Nene are aquaintances and currently classmates. Nene thinks it's weird how Akito has a split personality, but recognizes his stubborness and passion. Akito and Nene go to class 2-A Akito and Toya are best friends, but they don't share any classes. Toya goes to 2-B. Akito trusts Toya a lot. Akito and Tsukasa are friends(?) Akito finds Tsukasa a bit annoying and loud. Akito constantly pranks Tsukasa with bugs. However, Akito does not hate Tsukasa, and has helped Tsukasa out and complimented his acting on a few occasions. Akito is thankful to Tsukasa for how he encouraged Toya to pursue what he wanted to do instead of what his father forced him to do when the two were younger children. Akito and Tsukasa do not share any classes. Tsukasa goes to 3-C. Ena is Akito's older sister. Ena was the one who encouraged him to pursue music when they were little. They constantly fight. Ena has been noted to do things like scratch Akito or throw things at him. This does not mean they dislike each other, though. The two care about each other at the end of the day, despite the argumentative nature of their bond. Akito and Ena are not classmates, as Ena goes to night classes.

An Shiraishi has orange eyes and long black hair with blue tips, worn loose with two hairclips on her left, and small star clips around her hair. An's casual outfit consists of a white cropped sweater with black and purple stripes over a black and lime green crop top. She wears distressed flared jeans. An's school outfit is the standard female Kamiyama High School uniform with a tie, with a gray and black cardigan layered on top. An is a cool and candid girl with an unyielding spirit. An's fiery determination helps motivate her to her goal of being better than RAD WEEKEND. As An's father mentions, she's always been extremely confident, driven, and independent, and she never lets situations intimidate her, seizing every opportunity. An shows a sweeter side to her friends and cares about them very much, getting along with people very easily. An has no trouble introducing herself and charming those around her, and as such, she has many connections and acquaintances around Shibuya who are fond of her.

An is Japanese. An's birthday is July 26th. An is 160 cm (5'3") tall. An's hobby is growing mint plants. An's specialty is brewing coffee and black tea. An's favorite food is rum raisin ice cream. An's least favorite food are tomatoes. An dislikes ghosts and ghost stories. An's dad, Ken runs a cafe called Weekend Garage. An and Akito are rivals and friend. The two share a rival dynamic, teasing and bickering with each other often. Akito usually acts as a bearer of bad news, delivering blunt truths to An. This bluntness isn't out of malice, though, as Akito knows it's what An needs to grow and improve. An and Akito are classmates, both in class 2-A. An and Kohane are friends. It was An who first introduced Kohane to the street style of music, and encouraged her to start singing it herself. Before forming VBS, the duo made their own group called Vivids. An often likes to brag about Kohane's talent, making Kohane flustered, and is very possessive of Kohane as her partner. As mentioned by Akito, An "only ever talks about Kohane". An and Kohane are not classmates, as Kohane goes to Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy. An and Toya are friends. The two have mutual respect for each other, with Toya often comparing An's passion and drive to Akito's. An occasionally likes to tease him, though Toya's sincere personality usually makes it fall flat. An and Toya are not classmates, as Toya goes to class 2-B. An and Nene are second-year classmates. Nene thinks An is very friendly. An and Nene both go to class 2-A.

Nene Kusanagi has purple eyes and long grayish-green hair, with the front strands tied at the ends. Nene's casual outfit consists of a green long-sleeved shirt under a long navy blue dress, with a gold pendant necklace. Nene's school outfit is the standard female Kamiyama High School uniform with a bow tie. Nene usually keeping to herself. Nene is quite an introvert and extremely shy, and has stage fright. Nene likes to play games quite frequently and is very good at them. Nene also thinks of her friends as “weirdos”, but cares deeply for them. Nene speaks bluntly when she’s talking to people she’s comfortable with.

Nene is Japanese. An's birthday is July 20th. Nene is 156 cm (5'1") tall. Nene's hobbies are playing competitive games, watching musicals, and movies. Nene's specialty is singing and technology. Nene's favorite food is grapefruit. Nene's least favorite food are any mint flavored things. Nene dislikes crowded places.

Nene and Rui are childhood friends. They're neighbors and childhood friends. It was Rui who invited Nene to join WxS and tried to help her overcome her trauma. Rui was also the one who built NeneRobo for her to try to help her cope with her stage fright. Nene thinks he's nosy, but she wants to help him with his problems. Nene and Rui are not classmates, as Rui goes to class 3-C. Nene and Emu are friends. Nene thinks Emu a weirdo who doesn't listen, but tries to be helpful. She appreciates Emu's determination. Nene and Emu are not classmates, as Emu goes to Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy. Nene and Tsukasa are friends. These two bicker quite a bit but quickly resolve their conflict. Nene thinks Tsukasa an idiot, but appreciates his caring qualities. Nene and Tsukasa are not classmates, as Rui goes to class 3-C. Nene and Toya are acquaintances. Nene and Toya are both good at arcade games. They are also both introverted and quiet. Nene and Toya are not classmates, as Toya goes to class 2-B.

Toya Aoyagi has grey eyes. His hair is short and split into light and dark blue. Toya's casual outfit consists of a white pullover hoodie under an olive green jacket. He wears distressed black jeans and a red and white belt. Toya's school outfit is the standard male Kamiyama High School uniform with a tie and suit jacket. Toya is silent but strong. Toya tends to keep to himself but deep down is truly grateful for his friends. Toya is a well-mannered and polite person, but also comes off as cold at first. He cares deeply for his friends and also can be quite gullible at times. Toya is quiet and calm but has a strong mind. Toya's face is often deadpan, and people other than Akito and Tsukasa have difficulty reading his expressions. When people talk to Toya they usually mistake Toya for being rude, as Toya is blunt and often misphrases his statements. Toya is in class 2-B.

Tsukasa Tenma has orange-yellow eyes and short scruffy blonde hair with darker tips. Tsukasa's casual outfit consists of a white and blue button-down shirt under a dark blue sweater vest, with brown pants. Tsukasa's school outfit is the standard male Kamiyama High School uniform with a tie, with a tan sweater beneath his suit jacket. Tsukasa is very confident. He often shows off and has a tendency to get caught up in the moment. He's also a reliable older brother towards Saki, often taking caring of her. Despite his outer confidence, he tends to feel like he isn't good enough to pursue stardom and that there's still a hard road before he reaches his goal. Tsukasa goes to class 3-C.

Rui Kamishiro has yellow eyes and short, uneven purple hair with blue streaks. His right ear is pierced. Rui's casual outfit consists of an oversized blue, tan, and yellow graphic sweater with loose black pants. Rui's school outfit is the standard male Kamiyama High School uniform with a tie, though his shirt is untucked, and he layers a sky blue cardigan on top. Rui lives by his own set of rules, which causes people to consider him a weirdo. He's a literal genius. However, Rui often feels like an outcast for his inventions and his eccentric thinking. He likes to tease his friends and is always thinking up show ideas or inventing things. While he often puts Tsukasa in danger when adding new ideas to shows, he genuinely cares for him and is shown to worry about Tsukasa. Rui is in class 3-C.

Ena Shinonome has wide brown eyes and short brown hair with medium bangs swept to the right as well as a short braid tucked behind her left ear tied with a short ribbon. Her voice is sweet and airy. Ena's casual outfit consists of a green blouse with black bows, tucked into a brown checkered skirt. Ena's school outfit is the standard Kamiyama High School uniform with a bow tie, with sheer black tights and a light brown cardigan under her suit jacket. Ena goes to night classes at Kamiyama High School.
