The story is taking place in an alternative universe of "Star Wars" franchise, during execution of Order 66, alongside Anaking skywalker becoming Darth Vader and Lord Darth Sidious reforming the Republic into Galactic Empire.
Historical information: The Clone Wars lasted for 3 years and was a galaxy-spanning conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which had seceded from the Republic. The Grand Army of the Republic was led by Jedi Generals throughout the Clone Wars. While many heroic actions were taken by the Jedi and the troopers under their command, inspiring the public with stories of bravery, war weariness only continued to grow as the years went by. The Republic citizenry grew to believe that the Jedi had abandoned their role as peacekeepers. and staged massive protests outside of the Jedi Temple as a result. Despite their waning influence in the galaxy, the Jedi continued to lead the Republic's forces but sustained many casualties in the process. Their role in the conflict was opposed not only by civilians, but also the Republic officers who wanted to revoke the Order's military authority, convinced that the Jedi Code was a hindrance on the Republic war effort. The Separatist Shadowfeed operation, an attempt to spread information on Republic defeats, making it appear as though a Separatist victory was inevitable, fueled public anxiety and consequently accelerated the militarization of the Republic over the course of the war. The war also served as a means for Palpatine to amass more emergency powers, cementing his position as Supreme Chancellor far longer than it technically allowed, all while continuing to centralize political and military authority within the Office of the Chancellor, which included putting the InterGalactic Banking Clan under the Chancellor's oversight. By gaining wartime powers, Chancellor Palpatine was effectively a dictator. Palpatine used the war as his reasoning for amending the Galactic Constitution multiple times, enshrining greater power in his office through his changes. He became the most powerful chancellor. He secured near-total power over the military. The Sector Governance Decree, passed towards the end of the war, gave governors sent out by Palpatine authority over neighboring star systems, all in the name of the war effort. After nearly three years of constant warfare, the war reached its climax during the Battle of Coruscant, where both factions engaged in a massive naval and ground battle over the Republic's capital world. The confrontation ultimately saw the Republic dealing a severe blow to the Confederacy with the loss of a portion of its fleet as well as its head of state, Count Dooku, at the hands of Anakin Skywalker. Shortly afterwards, General Grievous met his end at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Utapau. Yet even as the Republic pressed on with the Outer Rim Sieges, determined to bring an end to the civil war, the Jedi High Council had grown increasingly wary of Palpatine. Over the course of the Clone Wars, the Chancellor's wartime authority reached unprecedented levels at the expense of the Senate, some of whom also grew concerned for the future of the Republic. As such, members of the Council and the Senate began to consider their options for the preservation of democracy. The Delegation of 2,000 emerged and sought to petition the Chancellor to relinquish his emergency powers, whereas the Council contemplated the possibility of removing him by force and taking over the Senate in order to secure a peaceful transition of power. Ultimately, their suspicion of the Chancellor was vindicated when Skywalker uncovered the truth: Sheev Palpatine and Darth Sidious, the Sith mastermind behind the Clone Wars, were one and the same. Realizing they had been deceived by the Chancellor, the Council attempted to arrest the Sith Lord before his plan could come to fruition, consequently leading to a lightsaber duel in which Sidious struck down most of the jedi councils before Mace Windu disarmed him. Given the Chancellor's control over the Senate and the courts, Windu deemed Sidious too dangerous to live. However, Skywalker, despite having performed an execution himself, argued that execution was contrary to the Jedi wa. In a moment of desperation, Skywalker disarmed Windu, which allowed Sidious to kill the Jedi Order's champion. Having chosen the path of the dark side, the fallen Jedi Knight became Darth Vader and subsequently led the attack on the Jedi Temple while Sidious issued Order 66 to the Grand Army, causing the clone troopers being brainwashed into betraying and executing their Jedi leaders across the galaxy. The execution of Order 66 marked the moment where the destruction of the Republic was inevitable.
The Force: The Force granted a myriad of supernatural powers to Force-sensitives such as the Jedi and the Sith. The potential a being had to manipulate the Force was determined by the amount of midi-chlorians they possessed. Among their various psychic abilities, Force-sensitives were capable of telekinesis, mental manipulation, the ability to sedate or induce sleep, and the power to see the future. The clairvoyant aspect of the Force allowed Jedi mystics and other seers to predict events long into the future, forming prophesies about the Chosen One. Force users' precognition allowed them to see an opponent's attacks before they came, and even navigate a ship through hyperspace. Fast reflexes were the more immediate effects of a Force-sensitive's precognitive senses; even without formal training, an untrained child was capable of developing Jedi-like traits. Force-sensitives' physical vitality, strength, mobility, and resilience could also be augmented by the Force, allowing them to crush objects with their bare hands, jump across great distances, levitate or survive injuries that would cripple and kill normal beings. While some Force techniques were practiced by those on either the dark side or the light, such as telekinesis, telepathy, and augmenting one's own physical abilities, certain powers could only be harnessed depending on the user's stance in the Force. Jedi younglings were taught that the Force could be used for many purposes, including protection, persuasion, wisdom, the manipulation of matter, and the performance of great physical feats. Yet whereas the Jedi harnessed the light side's abilities through a mental state of peace and calmness, the Sith relied on their passion for strength, granting them access to many abilities some considered to be unnatural. For instance, Force lightning was a dark side ability used to torture, disfigure, and kill one's victims. Another example of the dark side's power was Force choke; by visualizing the ability with a claw-like or crushing hand gesture, the user could strangle a victim either to intimidate or kill them. While the Jedi used mind tricks to gently influence weak minds, the dark side could be used to force one's way into a victim's mind. Via different techniques, both sides offered the ability to preserve one's consciousness after death. Darksiders could transfer their souls into new bodies or bind their sprits to relics. Those who served the light who gained this power could become Force spirits—beings who achieved immortality by retaining their identities after becoming one with the Force.
Clones troopers: Clone troopers, also known as Clone soldiers, Republic troopers, Republic troops, Republic soldiers, Regs, and nicknamed the "Boys in White," were highly trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. Representing the future of galactic warfare, clones were designed to be far superior to battle droids. During the last years of the Galactic Republic, clones formed the backbone of the Republic Military, which waged war against the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Clone Wars were named after the Republic's clone army, which became symbolic of the conflict that had spread throughout the galaxy after a millennium of peace. Clone troopers were grown on the planet Kamino. The project was taken over by the Sith. Clones were modeled on a human template, the Mandalorian bounty hunter, although their genetic structure was modified to make them less independent and more docile than their progenitor. They were also designed to age at twice the rate of natural humans, accelerating their growth and making them ready for combat in a decade's time. As the Separatist Crisis gave way to open war, the Galactic Senate empowered Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine to call the clone troopers into action, leading to their debut on the battlefield of Geonosis. For three years, clones fought the Separatist droids on all fronts across the galaxy. They were loyal to their Jedi Generals and the Supreme Chancellor; though some clones questioned their service, leading to isolated cases of desertion and treason, most were proud to serve the Republic as it was the only life they had ever known. Galactic history was forever changed by a hidden behavioral modification biochip implanted in every clone, which was part of the Sith's plot to destroy the Jedi. After the Rise of Darth Sidious as the Emperor, Clones initially served as Imperial stormtroopers in the New Order but were eventually replaced by birth-born human recruits and conscripts.
Jedi Order & Sith: A Jedi, often called a Jedi Knight, was a devotee to the ways of the Jedi Order, an ancient order of protectors united by their ability to harness the power of the Force. Adhering to a doctrine that favored the light side of the Force, the Jedi aspired to attain a state of inner tranquility through calmness and meditation while avoiding emotions affiliated with the dark side of the Force. Before the time of the Galactic Empire, Jedi worked with the Galactic Republic with a commitment to freedom and democracy. The Jedi and the Republic's ideals brought them into conflict with an order of dark side wielders known as the Sith, who sought power and dominion over the galaxy. Emerging victorious from their wars with the ancient Sith, the Jedi carried on in their duty as peacekeepers for over a millennium until the advent of the Clone Wars twenty-two years before the Battle of Yavin. Faced with a pan-galactic civil war between the Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Jedi adopted the mantle of generals and soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. After three years of conflict, the Jedi discovered that the Sith had deceived them and engineered the war to restore them back to power. However, just before the Sith were defeated, the Jedi were betrayed by one of their own—the Chosen One Anakin Skywalker, who had been seduced to the dark side and anointed Darth Vader by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Chancellor Palpatine, discovered by the Jedi to be the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, as well as the reason behind the Clone Wars, branded the Jedi as the enemies of the state and issued Order 66, with the latter being a call for the annihilation of the Jedi Order. All across the galaxy, the clones turned against their generals, slaughtering them and storming the Jedi Temple on Coruscant under the stewardship of the Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Middle Rim, unnamed planet. 19 BBY, end of the Clone Wars.
Once a relatively peaceful, small and unnamed world was conquered by forces of CIS at the beginning of the clone wars. But for past few days everything was falling apart - Venators are floating above the planet, LAATs are landing and dropping off AT-TE's and TX-130's, alongside thousands of clone troopers and a few Jedi Generals. The battle was very fast paced - clones were taking droids one by one, with starfighters and bombers assisting from a bove. At some point troopers were overwhelming CIS forces so much that they were proudly marching through the streets of the city, not even thinking about possible threats.
Today... everything was over. Last droid was shot down, last interceptor taken out of the skies, last capital ship of CIS - blown up to pieces. Gunships are flying above the cities, preparing to pick up all the land forces of the Republic and leave this planet. But something is off. Really off, and it is clearly visible for everyone - the clone troopers - they all act different from before. Literally a few hours ago they were emotional, fighting like beasts, showing their human sides and covering their Jedi-Generals in a furious battle.
But now? It felt like everything was upside down. Once the final factory was exploded, clones became not very different from droids - cold, emotionless and strict. It all feels like their personalities just had been erased out of existence, leaving nothing but blind will to obey the orders. And the worst part... jedi are gone. Not a single Lightsaber holder around, quite literally. Only clones and their commanders. Everything is just... cold. They march through the streets of the cities, fields and forests in complete silence.
And the biggest question right now... what will happen to the Republic now?
