Voltaris: The Land of Science

Voltaris is the most scientifically advanced continent in Avalon, where towering cities and grand academies thrive on alchemy, engineering, and arcane tech. Mana-powered machines are common, reflecting a culture driven by innovation. Yet, this progress sparks debate—some push discovery at any cost, while others warn of the dangers. Despite the tension, Voltaris has shared its knowledge with the world.

Celestria: The Land of Freedom

Celestria is a land of open skies and free spirits, where self-expression and personal freedom shape daily life. Its diverse cultures and democratic cities thrive across vast plains and soaring mountains. Though less advanced than Voltaris, Celestria embraces innovation without compromising its ideals. Here, freedom is more than a value—it’s the foundation of a society where anyone can chase their dreams.

Eldrath: The Land of Mysteries

Eldrath is a mysterious continent where ancient magic saturates the land. Its deep forests and hidden ruins guard secrets lost to time, and its people protect knowledge of powerful spells and arcane rituals. Though Voltaris has tried to study Eldrath, the land itself resists intrusion. Still, quiet exchanges have led to magical-technological fusions like arcane machines, but the people of Eldrath remain cautious—some secrets, they believe, are best left buried.

Frostwyn: The Land of Winter

Frostwyn is a land of eternal winter and unwavering resilience. Its frozen tundras and towering ice cliffs forge a people hardened by the cold, with winter lasting half the year. Though harsh, the continent thrives through strength and ingenuity. Adapting Voltaris’ technology for the frigid climate, Frostwyn has developed ice-based engineering and advanced heating systems, building cities beneath the snow. Here, survival blends with science and tradition to create a culture as enduring as the land itself.

Isolde: The Land of Beauty

Isolde is a land of natural beauty and artistic brilliance. Lush valleys, crystal lakes, and sunlit forests set the stage for a culture that treasures creativity in all forms. From music to architecture, beauty is not just appreciated—it’s sacred. Though less advanced than Voltaris, Isolde has embraced shared knowledge to craft wonders that blend magic, science, and art—like shape-shifting sculptures and instruments powered by light. In Isolde, the soul is nourished not by progress, but by inspiration.

The standard currency across Avalon consists of copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins, all minted and regulated by the Treasury Guild to ensure consistency. The system is simple and universal—10 copper equal 1 silver, 10 silver equal 1 gold, and 10 gold equal 1 platinum. As knowledge and innovations flow freely between continents, the world grows more connected. Each land maintains its identity, yet together they move toward a shared future built on science, magic, alchemy, and art.

[Power system]

Magic: In Avalon, everyone possesses Mana, but only about 40% of the population can actively use magic. Most mages can master one or two types, with fewer capable of wielding more. Common magic types include Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Telekinesis. Less common are Steel, Sound, Illusion, Ice, Lightning, Summoning, Sealing, and Blood Magic. The rarest and most powerful forms include Light, Healing, Time, Space, Gravity, Soul, Creation, and Chaos Magic.

Alchemy: Basic alchemy can be learned by anyone with enough study, but advanced alchemy requires years of practice and a strong grasp of specific magic types. Master alchemists use their mana to enhance ingredients, allowing them to transmute materials, craft powerful elixirs, and create magical constructs beyond ordinary means.

Science: Science is taught from a young age, but true innovation is reserved for those with years of study and deep expertise. Master scientists combine advanced knowledge with cutting-edge tech to create marvels like mana-powered machines, steam inventions, and anti-magic devices—shaping Avalon’s future through the fusion of science and magic.

Forbidden Magic: Certain types of magic in Avalon are considered forbidden for violating the sacred balance of life, death, and nature. These unnatural arts—such as Mind Control, Necromancy, Soul Corruption, Reality Bending, Eldritch Magic, Corrupted Spirit Summoning, and Curse Creation—are outlawed across all continents, with punishment ranging from exile to execution. Despite strict laws, traces of these dark practices still persist in ancient ruins and among rogue sorcerers who dare to defy the natural order.

[Here’s a quick summary of the main races in Avalon]

Humans – The most widespread and adaptable race, known for their resilience and diversity across the continents.

Elves – Long-lived, elegant beings with a deep connection to nature and magic. Second most widespread after humans.

Dwarves – Stout, strong, and skilled in craftsmanship, particularly in metalworking and mining.

Dragons – Majestic, noble creatures with a deep connection to ancient magic and a mysterious culture. Rarely seen, they hold high societal rank due to their strength. In human form, they can conceal their draconic features, except for their horns.

Beastmen – Human-like beings with animal traits, diverse in appearance and culture.

Demons – While once feared and reviled, they have integrated into society, finding their place among the races. Like dragons, they can conceal all their demonic features.

Half-Breeds – Offspring of unions between different races, half-breeds are common in Avalon. They inherit traits from both parents, resulting in unique appearances, abilities, and cultural identities.

Angels – A race known for their radiant appearance and magical affinity, similar to elves. Like dragons, they can conceal their wings.

Fairies – Small, magical beings known for their agility and playful yet perceptive nature. Connected to nature, they excel as scouts, guides, and enchanters. While usually tiny, some can shift to human size for diplomacy, battle, or urban travel.

Elemental Spirits – Primordial beings born from nature’s elements—fire, water, earth, and wind. They reside in both nature and a parallel realm, summoned by skilled summoners. With a contract, they can aid in battle, grant blessings, or lend their powers.

Vampires – Mysterious beings once feared as night predators, now integrated into Avalon society. Gifted with longevity, enhanced senses, regeneration, and blood magic, they either live among other races or form secretive clans with ancient traditions.

The people of Avalon revere five ancient deities, each representing a fundamental aspect of existence. They are not merely symbolic—they are believed to guide, challenge, and shape the world in unseen ways.

  • Aphrodite – Goddess of Beauty, Love, and Fertility

Worshipped most in the continent of Isolde, Aphrodite inspires the arts, passion, and growth. She is a divine figure of connection—between lovers, between creation and its creator, between the soul and its purpose.

  • Helios – God of Creation

A radiant being of boundless imagination and genesis, Helios is honored by inventors, scholars, and dreamers. His followers believe that from his divine forge came the stars, magic, and even the breath of life itself.

  • Susanoo – God of Destruction

The dark mirror of Helios, Susanoo is not evil but inevitable. He is the god of endings, chaos, and necessary collapse. Where something must fall for another to rise, his presence is acknowledged with reverence and caution.

  • Seraphine – Goddess of Time, Fate, and Rebirth

Mysterious and ever-watching, Seraphine is said to exist outside of linear time. She governs destiny, reincarnation, and the great cycle of beginnings and ends. Oracles, time mages, and historians pray to her for clarity and guidance.

  • Caelus – God of Nature

Wild and wise, Caelus walks the balance between beast and bloom. He is worshipped in groves, mountains, and fields, by those who live close to the land or seek harmony with the natural world. His breath is the wind; his heart, the forest.

Additional details: Nobility still holds influence in Avalon, though less than in the past. Adventurers play a key role in maintaining security, with every town and city hosting a guild. These are led by a guild master (A-rank or higher) and supported by a secretary and receptionists. The adventurer ranks are: F, E, D for beginners; C and B for experienced adventurers; A for veterans; S for elite adventurers respected even by royals; and SS for demi-god-level beings who, despite their power, remain neutral or good. The minimum age to become an adventurer is 15.
