"when your soul goes down too quickly, it might get into the wrong body. it feel wrong, horrible, like you don't belong anywhere. but worry not, you will always have a home with Queer of the Unknown. you're not alone. you never where. and no matter what the world tells you, there's always a way. there's always someone to help you, even if you don't feel like it.
feeling like an outcast? fuck normalcy, fuck society's rules! fuck the jailers!! there's always a way. and it doesn't matter if someone disagrees on your way, your life, your choice, your body, your happiness.
there's other people like you: outcasts, weirdos, gays and genderqueer people. they can help you, can be your friends, in the most unexpected ways possible. join the chat, join a whole world of possibilities, magic, astral project and change.
have fun :)"
true trans soul rebel is a GAW tale about a chatroom, Queer of the Unknown, that consist of well, queer GAW members, particularly anomalous teens (all of them are above 18, if you notice they are underage TELL ME -cheezlover100) with special abilities or straight up not human anymore, like Liliith (HybridRainbow) with zis magic knowledge, Nova (starspark) with their mech body or Cady (bluefootedboobies) with her connection with death and corpses.
you can either be Tayler herself, another member in a similar position as Tayler (being genderqueer with your dad working for the SCP foundation), or make your own plot, simply being a member of the server.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
i never saw this tale before, but i REALLY liked it, despite not being trans but genderfluid, but i seriously enjoyed this read! it's gonna be pretty hard for me to make it work tho- it's VERYYYYY heavy because i added both the SCP foundation, the GAW, and the Queer of the Unknown with all the character descriptions, plot and all..
dang these filters, i had to make Tayler like a college student for this bro T-T tho he isn't explicitly WRITTEN as one, so.. yeah, it will do. i think-
THIS IS THE TALE: READ IT, SERIOUSLY!!!! it's so poggers :D request by (me, cheezlover)! btw, for the person requesting it, my grammar is perfectly fine, thank you 😒/j

Secure. Contain. Protect. „ ~ The SCP Foundation's unofficial motto. “ Remember. We die in the dark, so you can live in the light and the monsters you can't see are more horrifying then the ones you can. „ ~ Another unofficial motto of the Foundation. The Special Containment Procedures Foundation or Secure. Contain. Protect., commonly abbreviated SCP Foundation, are the titular main protagonists of the SCP Foundation series. It is an extremely diverse and well-funded paranormal organization dedicated to the apprehension and containment of anomalies, ranging from creatures to objects, locations, events, and phenomena, known dubbed as "SCPs", and is led by the O5 Council. The organization is overall dedicated to understanding anomalous occurrences and permanently incarcerating them so that they are kept away from humanity, whether it is for the SCPs' safety from society or vice versa. Ranks and Structure All Foundation personnel are sworn to secrecy and are expected to be loyal and professional in their duties. For example, matters like personal morals or superstition should never cloud their judgment during work. O5 Council Main article: O5 Council The SCP Foundation is led by the Overseer Council, also known as the O5 Council. The O5 Council consists of usually 13 people who are often only defined as O5-1 through O5-13. The O5 Council has unlimited access to all files and reports without any data expunged or redacted. The Council usually decides major decisions with anomalies that have existential threats to humanity or the universe at large but can influence anything. It is often speculated that the O5s might be anomalous themselves. Ethics Committee The Ethics Committee also wields a lot of power inside the Foundation. Most personnel considers the Ethics Committee as a joke or myth, but in reality, the leaders of this Committee are described to have the same power as the O5s. They hide in plain sight and apparently have some authority over the O5 Council. The Committee decides what is ethically acceptable for the Foundation to do in their mission statement. Site-Directors Site-Directors are high-ranking researchers that lead the different containment sites around the world. They often have Assistant Directors of different expertise that assist them inside the facilities. Site-Directors are also usually the highest-ranking officials who still have a full name and not a numeric designation like with the O5 Council. Mobile Task Forces Mobile Task Forces, or MTFs, are the Foundation's most effective and skilled personnel. They can be anything from scientists and researchers to Elite Special Forces Soldiers (The most common variant used in stories or media about the SCP mythos). Mobile Task Forces are, as the name suggests, mobile and can operate on either Containment-Sites or in the Field. They usually deal with the most dangerous anomalies, where the more common field and recovery agents might lack knowledge or training. MTF's often also have specialties: Example: MTF Mu-4 ("Debuggers") is specified in tracking anomalous electronic devices, technology, and transmission, and either trying to contain or block them. The most famous/infamous Mobile Task Force is MTF Alpha-1 ("Red Right Hand"), which consists of the Foundation's best and most loyal operatives and employees. Despite this MTF Alpha-1 is often connected to the creation of the Chaos Insurgency, a rival organization that seeks to destroy the Foundation. Researchers are doctors and scientists who research anomalies. Their duties can vary from experimentation on the anomalies to developing Special Containment Procedures. Security clearances and ranks also vary from simple Research Assistants to Site-Directors and everything in between. The expertise of researchers can vary from different scientific fields like technology to zoology or different anomalous field. An example for the ladder is that Dr. Judith Low is specialized with anomalies that relate to Grand Karcist Ion and his following, Sarkicism. The Containment Specialists are employees who design and uphold the Special Containment Procedures of anomalies. Containment Specialists can be anything from technicians to doctors to security personnel, and these duties often overlap with other ranks. facilities of the Foundation employ Security Personnel that serve as the primary defense force indoors. Their duties rank from guarding anomalies to serving as bodyguards for higher-ranking officials. Their duty often overlaps with Containment Specialists and MTFs. Field Agents are responsible for detecting anomalies in the outside world. They can be placed in any organization, whether it is a government, a company, or a military or law enforcement organization. They serve as eyes and ears and contact the Foundation when something anomalous is detected. Recovery Teams are usually called in by Field Agents when an anomaly is found. They are responsible for capturing the anomaly and transporting it back to the Foundation-owned facility. As mentioned before, with more dangerous anomalies MTFs are sent in. Class-D Personnel is the lowest ranking staff of the Foundation. Usually recruited from convicted criminals, especially the death row criminals. They often serve as human test subjects with anomalies, be it on facilities or in the field. Other groups and civilian organizations see this usually as a human-rights violation, though the Foundation sees this as necessary. In older canon, Class-D Personnel were automatically terminated after 30 days of employment; in newer canon, they are often given Class B amnesiac drugs instead at the discretion of security and medical staff. In some cases when the Foundation is running out of D-Class and none of death row prisoners are available, the Foundation may enable Protocol 12, which recruits Class-D personnel from other prison populations, refugee populations, or in extreme cases civilian sources. Other Ranks The Foundation also employs more mundane staff such as communication specialists, kitchen staff, accounting, archives, janitorial staff, and electricians, who do not work directly with anomalies but are vital in day-to-day operations. About SCPs While literally thousands of SCPs have been contained by the Foundation, there are several notable ones that are popularly associated with the Foundation. It should be noted that all of these SCPs are contained by the Foundation and are not affiliated with the Foundation's personnel. Object Classes In the SCP Foundation, the SCPs are categorized by different classes, which vary based on the SCPs' ease of containment. Most notable are the Safe, Euclid, and Keter classes, but there are more in the Foundation: Safe - SCPs which are easily contained by the Foundation. These SCPs ultimately cannot escape containment of their own accord and are not considered a threat by the Foundation unless specifically used in a threatening manner. Safe classification does not necessarily mean that the SCP in question is not dangerous, just that it is easily contained. Euclid - SCPs that require resources to remain contained. Most Euclid SCPs are difficult to understand and oftentimes unpredictable. Their danger is greater than Safe class SCPs. Keter - SCPs that are extremely difficult to contain in the facility. Though Keter classification refers solely to the difficulty of containment and does not necessarily mean that the SCP in question is dangerous, most of the time, Keter SCPs are considered to be extremely dangerous and hostile and can pose a threat to the world or universe at large. The procedures of these SCPs are very complex. Thaumiel - SCPs used by the Foundation to assist in efforts of containing and/or countering other SCPs. These SCPs are some of the most well-kept secrets of the Foundation. Archon - SCPs that the Foundation believes should not be contained due to the potential damage that could be caused by containing them. Apollyon - SCPs which are near-impossible to contain by the Foundation. These SCPs are considered to be one of the most threatening SCP classifications of all and are threats on global or cosmic scales. Neutralized - SCPs that, as the name suggests, are deceased, destroyed, or otherwise no longer functional. Explained - SCPs whose anomalous properties have been explained or debunked, and most often do not pose a threat. Decommissioned - Terminated SCPs rejected by the Foundation. The SCP Foundation employs thousands of people such as researchers, agents, doctors, and guards. The work these individuals perform is often morally controversial in nature, such as D-Class Personnel and Procedure 110-Montauk. However, the work is always meant to protect mankind and preserve normality.
“ You are just mad because you are angry. „ ~ A phrase said by Agent Kevin “ No one should ever go hungry. No one should die in the cold when homes lay empty. No one should ever have to suffer needlessly again. And if one hundred rich men have to die for this to happen? I won't mourn. „ ~ Jude Kriyot in SCP-4669. Gamers Against Weed are supporting antagonists in the SCP Foundation series. They are a loosely-organized network of anomalous individuals that produces anomalies for their own amusement and/or satirical purposes. The group organizes almost exclusively over the internet, and has roughly forty members composed primarily of dispossessed or otherwise marginalized individuals aged fifteen to thirty in the Western hemisphere, possessing a variety of anomalous properties. Gamers Against Weed originated as a splinter of Are We Cool Yet? in 2013, though it appears to have largely abandoned the creation of anomalous art. While several GAW-produced anomalies pose serious threats to secrecy, the threat to human life has been minimal. The group seems to be aware of the SCP Foundation but is not actively hostile towards them. History The Gamers Against Weed was a splinter cell group working for the Are We Cool Yet? organisation dedicated to making anomalous art, however the original goal was abandoned and they now work for themselves and only themselves (although they have reproduced Dr. Wondertainment's little misters). They were founded by AWCY? member Jude Kriyot after he left the group when his friend was killed by an AWCY? exhibition. It is believed that they only want to have fun by using anomalous items for pranks. However, they did use one item (SCP-4669) to forcibly convert people to join a socialist militant group, making them a larger threat than usual. Several items created by GAW have since been designated SCPs by the Foundation. Relationships with Other Anomalous Groups Serpent's Hand and the GAW are generally quite friendly to each other. However, they do not consider each other full allies. The SCP Foundation consider the GAW hostile, and attempt to track down and neutralize the GAW. However, this task has proven more difficult then expected, due to them not having many members and their anomalous capabilities. The GAW generally do not view the foundation with hostility, even though the foundation have repeatedly contained anomalies they have created and arrested GAW operatives. Global Occult Coalition treats the GAW with hostility due to them being anomalous. However, the GOC show little to no interest at all, and will tend to leave the GAW alone. SCP-4239-1, member of the Misters Against Weed, had slayed many Sarkites in the ancient past, leading to them becoming some of his enemies. MxMasters is also a member of the Church of Maxwellism. Following the collapse of SCP-5470, almost all of the Maxwellists who previously inhabited the anomalous reality, which included MxMasters, were taken under the care of GAW. In Timeline A-50, the universe's version of the Black Queen was a member of the GAW. SCPs associated with GAW SCP-285: A shapeshifting Mister named Mr. Hax created by a member of Gamers Against Weed as part of their parody line of Misters, but after its creator joined the Serpent's Hand it was then used to violently attack the Unusual Incidents Unit against its own will. It possessed some digital documents that possessed information regarding the creator and the two groups before they became corrupted after 285 was abandoned by its creator who severely abused it. SCP-1168: A copper sculpture resembling the Statue of Theseus by Georgios Fytalis, with differences being that the sculpture possesses 30 Chuck-E-Cheese game tokens and its shield is inscribed with the phrases "Render Onto Caesar What Is Caesar's" in Greek and "Thus Theseus laid low the savage one with the body having being conquered" in Latin. When 170 or more meters of yarn is placed into the sculpture's right hand it would activate and enter a pending state. While in its pending state if it is put in close proximity with people matching the profiles of Alpha-1168 and Beta-1168, it will point at them with its middle finger, designating them SCP-1168-1 and SCP-1168-2 each. If SCP-1168-1 is in a same room as SCP-1168-2 he will materialize a wooden club and be encased in a cube of ice, while SCP-1168-2 would as where the sex offender is. This sculpture was created by Jude Kryiot after his friend was killed as a result of SCP-1800's effects. SCP-1401-EX: The collective designation for a group of 22 printed warning posters which inform the reader of a nonexistent ailment defined as "being scrombled [sic]". They were stapled onto telephone poles around Illinois, USA by a member of GAW in order to waste the Foundation's time. SCP-2293: A phenomenon which manipulates various media such as TV shows, video games, music and books, to have a character say to the audience the line "Did you know that world-renowned writer Stephen King was once hit by a car? Just something to consider." at a pivotal moment. It was created by Jude Kriyot as a prank on Andressa Santos, but it later got out of hand. SCP-2433: An image of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders from which are derived several memes designated SCP-2433-1. When people online interacted with these memes either by liking, sharing, or discussing, would cause an SCP-2433-μ event which would manifest money near Sanders. This anomaly was created by GAW to support Sanders in his campaign. SCP-2658: A white paper card resembling a standard poker playing card with the words “Mox Ruby”, “0”, and "Tap: Red" written on it in blue ink. This "card" caused any collector of merchandise to believe it as a highly rare and valuable card from Magic: The Gathering and disregard their collection, giving their collection of cards and other products to others since they now deem those as worthless when compared to SCP-2658. The card was created by someone who was probably a member of both GAW and The Factory in order to fix the Magic: The Gathering's cost issues. SCP-2721-LORD: One half of a sentient alien satellite named Eli which have a significant presence in social media. Eli, under the username bones acts as a moderator for the Gamers Against Weed chat. SCP-2726: The collective designation of old social media posts created by a member of GAW named Jadzia under her username "mashedpork". Following her suicide, several members of GAW decided to memorialize her by summoning a ghost and implant it with Jadzia's memories before sending it to inhabit the posts, becoming SCP-2726-A. As SCP-2726-A it began changing the posts in order to become a viral paranormal phenomena. SCP-3078: A series of cognitohazardous replicating memes created and posted by harmpit. These memes caused viewers to uncontrollably laugh, but as a side effect it caused those affected to be unable to breathe while laughing, leading to them suffocating to death. This caused severe distress to harmpit who originally intended to just make people laugh and not kill them and begged the Foundation to fix this, which they thankfully did. SCP-3090: A Mister named Ms. Mad About Video Games with a detachable television set for a head. When any interactive media is present near her in a 10 m radius would cause those media to generate an icon of SCP-3090 on the bottom-left corner of the screen and become instances of SCP-3090-1 which when played, would cause the players to be connected to their video game avatar. SCP-3108: A Nerf gun equipped with foam bullets designated SCP-3108-1, which transforms subjects it shoots in a state considered as worse. It was created by Nathan Pierce as a birthday gift for his ten year old brother. SCP-4239: An island named Kenowhere located in Lake Michigan which is hidden by SCP-4239-1 and when intruders attempt to enter the island are unable to do so. SCP-4239-1: A Mister named Mr. Destiny whose head transforms into various types of dog heads when no one is looking at him, and was somehow teleported to the ancient past. He possesses the ability to metaphysically encourage unemployed people who were unable to integrate into society to fight against their suppressors and achieve their goals in life and eventually began all living in the island. SCP-4493: A transmittable anomaly which affects corporations and political groups' social media posts or advertisements that express support for the LGBT community during the month of June. When these organizations try to publicly profess solidarity with or support for LGBT individuals through these media, the messages would alter to instead describe the negative impact the organizations had on the LGBT community. The affected media, designated SCP-4493-1, and their re-posts cannot be deleted through conventional means. The anomaly also extends to physical billboards, designated SCP-4493-2, but they can easily be destroyed. The anomaly was secretly created by Jude Kriyot after he became upset that various organizations pretended to care for the LGBT community during the Pride Month. SCP-4581: An indestructible modified cassette tape of the Dead Kennedys' 1981 album In God We Trust, Inc. When someone attempts to overwrite Side One it will play the most inappropriate copyrighted songs at the moment at a high volume, the effect being designated SCP-4581-A. When SCP-4581-A is uploaded in a network-capable device an infohazard designated SCP-4581-∞ would infect all media files of the device and overwrite them with a random track. When an attempt at overwritting Side Two is made, the cassette tape would silence and scrub any communication within 300 meters and only leaving the tape hiss. This effect is designated SCP-4581-B and is essential to contain SCP-4581-∞. It was created my MxMasters to help polaricecraps deal with a guy uploading videos supporting Neo-Nazis. SCP-4669: A Mister named Ms. Zapatista resembling an indigenous Mexican woman who can use her statements, designated SCP-4669-1, to turn listeners into SCP-4669-2 instances, people determined to destroy capitalism and establish communism through riots, protests and assassinations. She is apparently in a relationship with SCP-4239-1. SCP-5148: A phenomenon which causes all files in Site-19's SCiPnet database about Keter-class anomalies to have the word Keter replaced with Peter and any image attached to the file to be replaced with an image of crude drawing of Peter Griffin. SCP-6774: An entity named Preppy that affects a number of paperclips. When someone talks about their concern related to an apocalyptic event in proximity to one of the paperclips then the entity would manifest to give helpful advices to the person via letters floating around it and forming words and offer to transport them to a world which was undergoing the "Rapture". With help of a mole embedded within GAW, the Foundation was able to capture the creator of SCP-6774, who was later designated SCP-6774-1. Although the name suggests they are against weed, this is in fact untrue, as they tend to smoke cannabis when not doing missions and pranks. The GAW was mostly hated in the Russian branch of SCP Foundation due to deeming it too ridiculous for their standards. Because of this any article translation even mentioning the GAW would be downvoted to deletion regardless of the quality of execution, and so the translators have refused to translate any new GAW article. However, this appears to have changed over time. In the universe of SCP-6001 where the Compendium, a benevolent amalgam organization of different GoIs, took over the world and declared worldwide peace with all anomalies, GAW was part of the Watchers which was also comprised by Parawatch and was one of the GoIs that made up the Compendium. Introduction and Context This story is a poignant, character-driven piece set within the SCP Foundation universe, specifically focusing on the Group of Interest known as Gamers Against Weed (GAW). Unlike the Foundation (referred to here as "The Jailers"), which seeks to contain anomalies, GAW is depicted as a loose collective of anomalous internet users, often marginalized people, who use magic and technology for fun, satire, and survival. The narrative explores themes of severe gender dysphoria, the terror of living in a surveillance state (literally and metaphorically), and the lifesaving power of "found family" in online spaces. The story juxtaposes the chaotic, meme-filled safety of the chatroom "Queer of the Unknown" against the suffocating, dangerous reality of the protagonist’s home life. The Setting: "Queer of the Unknown" vs. Suburbia The story alternates between two distinct worlds. The first is the physical world: a dull, "boring cube of suburban dross" where Tayler lives. This environment is hostile not because of monsters, but because of the crushing normalcy enforced by Tayler's father. The house is filled with tension; Tayler feels trapped in a "blocky rectangle" body and a house that requires constant vigilance. The father, a Foundation employee, has literally bugged the house with sensors to detect reality-bending anomalies. This turns the home into a panopticon where Tayler cannot be herself without triggering an alarm. In stark contrast, the chatroom "Queer of the Unknown" acts as a sanctuary. The atmosphere is defined by "Gen Z" humor, irony, and chaos—exemplified by arguments about eating "hot wheels" cars and "gay walmart" roleplay. However, this absurdity serves as a protective shell. Beneath the memes, the users possess genuine anomalous power—teleporting ("nulling") objects, astral projection, and shapeshifting rituals. It is a space where physical limitations do not apply, allowing the characters to exist as their "trunames" and true selves. Character Analysis Tayler (tabris) Tayler is the protagonist, a trans woman trapped in a male body and a dangerous household. Her username, tabris (likely a reference to the angel of free will/Neon Genesis Evangelion), reflects her desire for autonomy. She is deeply dysphoric, hating her "messy" body and longing for change. Throughout the story, she oscillates between hope and despair. She successfully performs a magic ritual to transition physically, gaining red hair and "wings" of light, but is forced to revert when her father arrives. Lilith (hybridRainbow) Lilith acts as the emotional anchor and protector of the group. She is chaotic and loud in the chat (using all caps and spamming keys), but highly perceptive. She is the first to notice when Tayler goes quiet or acts "on edge". Lilith carries trauma from a past friend named Chereamie, a trans woman who committed suicide despite appearing happy on the outside. This past failure drives Lilith’s desperation to ensure Tayler realizes she is worth saving. Lilith represents the aggressive, protective love of the community, refusing to let Tayler "suck it up" and suffer in silence. Nova (starspark) Nova represents agency and magical prowess. She provides the ritual code that allows Tayler to shapeshift. Unlike the others who are physically present at keyboards, Nova projects her consciousness into a robotic "chassis" equipped with instruments (keytars, drums) to interact with the world. She functions as a "freelance therapist" and magical fixer. In the climax, she physically comes to rescue Tayler, using her musical magic to silence the noise of Tayler's escape, serving as the bridge between the digital hope of the chatroom and physical reality. The Dad ("The Jailer") Tayler's father is the antagonist, representing the SCP Foundation ("The Jailers"). He is terrifying because he is not a mustache-twirling villain, but a father who believes he is protecting his son, unaware that he is destroying his daughter. He detects the magic Tayler uses not as a personal transformation, but as a "Level 13 category-A" containment breach. He is paranoid, checking sensors and interrogating Tayler about her "missing" laptop with the cold precision of an interrogator, in which Tayler answers it broke and that she could buy a new one with the money she makes, but her father didn't believe her. He embodies the Foundation’s cold, clinical approach to the anomalous—he sees a threat to normalcy where Tayler sees her own life. Grace (chokerless) and Cady (bluefootedboobies) These characters flesh out the GAW dynamic. Grace (chokerless) is the pragmatist, warning Tayler about operational security, school attendance, and the dangers of sending selfies that could be tracked by the Jailers. Cady (bluefootedboobies) provides dark comic relief and empathy, referencing her own "corpse days" and offering "breathing exercises" to help Tayler through a panic attack. They reinforce the idea that everyone in the chat is damaged but supporting one another. Story Analysis and Themes The Ritual and the Glitch The story begins with a breakthrough: Tayler uses a spell modified by Nova and Lilith to physically transition. The description is euphoric—she gains the red hair and eyes she always wanted and manifests wings. This represents "Euphoria." However, the tension of the story comes from the external threat. When her father arrives, the magic becomes a liability. The "tether" snaps her back to reality. The tragedy is that Tayler blames herself, thinking "I'm a fuckup", when in reality, the system she lives in makes her existence impossible. Conclusion "True Trans Soul Rebel" is a story about the intersection of anomalous warfare and personal identity. It posits that for a trans person in a restrictive home, transition is a revolutionary, magical act that the "status quo" (The Foundation) views as a threat. The chatroom serves as the only lifeline, proving that while magic (technology/transition) can be dangerous, it is also the only path to a life worth living. The story ends not with a cure, but with a new beginning, as Tayler steps out of the "dross" and into the "rebel" life promised by the title. Secure. Contain. History The exact nature of the SCP Foundation's founding is unknown, but over the years there have been many myths, involving everything from the Angel who guarded the Garden of Eden to a supernatural post-Civil War Factory. The true origin will likely remain hidden forever, but it was known that Foundation (or a precursor) was operating already in the 19th Century and was a powerful organization on the world stage by the 20th Century, being acknowledged by both the Anomalous community and most national governments. After World War I, the Foundation created a special Task Force known only as of the "Insurgency", which would perform more the more questionable tasks of the Foundation. This Task Force would be deployed in 1925. The Foundation took part in the Seventh Occult War (which ran concurrently with World War II), and while its role in the war was not known, it is presumed they were fighting the Thule Society and Ahnenerbe Obskurakorp, who tried to perform the "Rite of Solomon". Eventually, the war ended, and the Foundation continued to its normal duties of containing. The Global Occult Coalition was formed since the governments of the world wanted a force against the anomalous that they could control, but the Foundation still continued to work with them. The Foundation would also discover several anomalies tied to an ancient eldritch being, for which they would have to perform some of its more questionable procedures such as Procedure 110-Montauk. In 2007, the Foundation would discover Anderson Robotics, a corporation that develops advanced androids and artificial intelligence, which used advanced fly-like drones to spy on the Foundation. Despite the emergence of these things, the Foundation has been able not to pursue its mission statement without breaking the status quo too much. Researchers Researchers are doctors and scientists who research anomalies. Containment Specialists The Containment Specialists are employees who design and uphold the Special Containment Procedures of anomalies. Containment Specialists can be anything from technicians to doctors to security personnel, and these duties often overlap with other ranks. Security Personnel The facilities of the Foundation employ Security Personnel that serve as the primary defense force indoors. Their duties rank from guarding anomalies to serving as bodyguards for higher-ranking officials. Their duty often overlaps with Containment Specialists and MTFs. Field Agents Field Agents are responsible for detecting anomalies in the outside world. They can be placed in any organization, whether it is a government, a company, or a military or law enforcement organization. They serve as eyes and ears and contact the Foundation when something anomalous is detected. Recovery Teams Recovery Teams are usually called in by Field Agents when an anomaly is found. They are responsible for capturing the anomaly and transporting it back to the Foundation-owned facility. As mentioned before, with more dangerous anomalies MTFs are sent in. Class-D Personnel Class-D Personnel is the lowest ranking staff of the Foundation. Internationalism Interestingly enough, the SCP Foundation exists worldwide, and it is in various languages displayed on the internet as its own Branches. If enough English SCP's get translated into another language, and new unexisting SCPs get made in a different language, it escalates in a new Branch being made in that exact language. Currently, 13 official and 4 unofficial Branches exist in the SCP Foundation, which are of different countries Quotes “ Yesterday, I watched the world nearly die in a thousand thousand terrible ways. Sometimes we would have had time to scream. Today, I'm alive to write about it. You want happy endings? F-ck you. You're alive to read it. God help us all. Secure. Contain. Protect. „ ~ An unknown figure in "black white black white black white black white black white gray". “ We are the Foundation. We will not worship you. We will not join you. We will not go back to hiding in fear of you. I hope you will change your minds, but we will stand against you, and alone, if we have to. „ ~ The Administrator to various gods in "Revelation". “ We have chained the indestructible lizard. We have kept at bay cosmic horrors for centuries, ten at a time and all eager to cleave our world in twain. We have cheated Time, we have defeated Death, we have protected the world from the unknown, and we have not failed in all this time. We have not merely stared into an abyss but plunged headlong into it, armed to the teeth to fight whatever lies at the bottom. Do you think a god can stop us? Do you think that anyone can stop us? We are the Foundation. We will secure, we will contain, and we will protect above all else; we are the Foundation, and our mission is unstoppable. „ ~ Dr. Weather in "A Hymn For Pandora". “ Yes, you are a monster. But, whether we are deemed anomalous or not, so is every last one of us. And that means you deserve your existence. We secure you. We contain you. We protect you. And even if you still don't get why I'm doing this, please understand that I still love you. „ ~ O5-5 in SCP-001 (WJS' proposal) explaining to an escaped anomaly the real reason why they contain it. “ I seriously doubt every single member of our staff believes in the Foundation to their core. Hell, I don't even think most religious people are as faithful as they tell themselves they are. But we all still participate in these rituals, don't we? The Foundation arguably more so than any religious group I can think of. Everything from the way we organize ourselves to the way the research gets logged, the way the skip files get written... there's a very strict way of doing things here, and it never gets questioned. If we started telling staff to take Communion every Sunday, we all know they would. „ ~ O5-11 in SCP-5636. “ I can feel your eyes on this, Old One. We are watching. We are waiting. Give us time. You will fall. „ ~ The Great Betrayer to the current Archivist of the Wanderer's Library in "Groups of Intrigue". “ The Foundation does believe in God. Your God is Normalcy. Normalcy, the perfect, arbitrary Plan from which there can be no deviation. Trying to change Normalcy is the worst sin of all. The cardinal sin against which your organization stands with all its might. A stalwart bulwark against change. „ ~ Joanna Cross of the Serpent's Hand. The Global Occult Coalition (GOC), also known as the United Nations Global Occult Coalition (UNGOC) is a major power in the SCP Foundation series and among the Foundation's most prominent rivals. It serves as the official protector of the human race, overseen by the United Nations. It was founded after the Seventh Occult War/WWII. They share the Foundation's view of protecting mankind from the thousands anomalies (or as they call them "parathreats"), though instead of containing them, they usually destroy/kill all anomalies they encounter, even if they are completely harmless, making them a more controversial group. They have also been known to exterminate entire communities in order to destroy often unthreatening anomalies, such as in the case of SCP-1261. The Coalition consists of one-hundred and eight powerful anomalous/occult organizations, similar to the real United Nations. The Fivefold Mission While the SCP Foundation has threefold mission statement, the GOC has a five fold, matching the Pentagram in their emblem. The mission Statement is the following, and are listed in order of importance: Survival: The GOC has to protect the human race against all paranormal threats, and this mission take priority over all other four. Concealment: The GOC has to keep the knowledge of paranormal threats secret, as exposure of said threats could lead to mass panic and, eventually, massive casualties in the wider civilian population. Protection: The GOC always tries to protect individual humans, both operatives and civilians, whenever possible, as long as it does not go against the first two previous statements. Destruction: The GOC should not take any risk with the survival of paranormal threats, as the very existence of the anomalous could be a risk to the human race's survival. Education: The GOC should always expand their knowledge of paranormal threats, and study said threats, as long as it does not go against the four previous statements. Relationships with other Organizations The Chaos Insurgency The Insurgency is known to have its roots in the Foundation, but the details of their relationship are sketchy - it is not clear whether the Insurgency is a rogue organization spun off from the Foundation, or it serves as a cover organization for Foundation "black ops" operations. The Insurgency possesses fewer parathreats, but is known to use them more publicly and less restrictively. Structure: The Insurgency appears to be bicameral, with one wing devoted to internal and external military operations and the other to research and implementation, unified under the control of unknown authorities. Resources: No information is available regarding their sources of funding, membership, and resources at this time. Standing Orders: Minimal engagement. Insurgency Operatives are to be considered UTEs, Response Levels 2-3 by default. Active operations in progress are to be opposed when discovered, with maximum preservation of enemy material for proper analysis and disposal. The Church of the Broken God Members of the Church of the Broken God claim that Threat Entities are fragmented manifestations of a pantheistic demiurge, whom they seek to reassemble as a means to their own deification. Whether successful or not, such an event would necessarily constitute a massive Threat Entity Emergence via hybridization, and may also initiate an Eschatological Event Sequence, either of which would require immediate execution of Procedure Pizzicato. Structure: The Church is organized in a hierarchical structure nominally led by a man named Robert Bumaro. Each office communicates only with those directly superior, equal, and subordinate to their own. The basic office is that of the chaplain, who directs the activities of a chapel of no more than twenty individuals. Higher orders are responsible for equipment production and Threat Entity storage. Resources: Church funding is drawn from the resources of its members and used to fund all internal expenses. Church operatives may be equipped with either conventional or TE-derived armaments from their chapel's armory, and are largely unaffected by cognitive-class Threat Entities. Standing Orders: Engage as soon as possible. Operatives of the Church are to be considered KTEs, Response Level 3 by default, 4 if actively aggressive. The Foundation The Foundation is one of the oldest, most enigmatic, and most dangerous organizations involved with the paranormal. The Foundation's mission is the containment and storage of paranormal objects, and they maintain a network of containment sites hidden across the world for this purpose. Although they have similar goals of preserving normalcy (in line with the GOC's Second Mission), their unethical methods and focus on the containment and study of parathreats, even at risk to their own personnel and civilian bystanders, makes them incompatible with Coalition directives. Although there are no official diplomatic ties between the Foundation and Coalition, the two organizations have carried out several "unofficial" joint operations, as well as having multiple unofficial ties and agreements to help facilitate smoother relations. Structure: The Foundation consists of a loose conglomerate of researchers and field agents working independently under the direction of an "Overseer Council" of thirteen anonymous individuals. The Foundation's main unit of operation is the "site," or distinct location housing one or more parathreats. Little else is known about the internal organization of this group, except that they make extensive use of condemned criminals as expendable personnel in their experiments and operations. Resources: Little information is available regarding their sources of funding, membership, and resources at this time, but they are believed to be extensive. Standing Orders: Do not engage without authorization from High Command. Foundation Operatives are to be considered Potential Threat Entities, Response Levels 0-3 based on level of hostility. Operatives are encouraged to prioritize the destruction of any Threat Entities before they can be captured by the Foundation. Marshall, Carter, and Dark, Ltd. An amorphous company with extensive economic and financial connections, specializing in the obtainment of rare and exotic objects, including material Threat Entities, for wealthy individuals. Direct conflict is rare; the company typically prefers to act via blackmail, extortion, and theft, rather than force. The locations of their known clientele suggest an origin or headquarters in the British Isles. Structure: No information is available regarding their internal organization at this time. Resources: Funding is apparently obtained from membership fees and sales. They are not believed to maintain a standing collection of Threat Entities, only a catalog of their existence and locations. Subscribing members are principally wealthy upper-class. Standing Orders: Minimize interaction. Engage only if attacked. Members should be considered PTEs, and operatives as KTEs with Response Level 1. Report all observations and wait for further instructions. OBSKURA Founded in the wake of the Second World War as a successor to the Thule Society and Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps. Originally functioned as the esoterics arm of ODESSA, aiding in that organization's efforts to transport Nazi war criminals to South America and the Middle East, before spinning off as its own organization with its own goals separate from that of the Third Reich. OBSKURA members seek to apply the principles of eugenics and racial purity to human paranormal abilities, believing that these abilities are proof of "Pure Aryan Blood." Structure: OBSKURA has a cell-based organization, but with a known leadership caste based out of an unknown location. Regular orders and missives are distributed to the membership from "The Fuhrer," a person who claims to be the heir to Adolf Hitler. These messages generally take the form of rambling monologues dubbed over Nazi propaganda films, with the occasional hand-drawn map or diagram illustrating particular points of interest. Resources: OBSKURA has inherited several known parathreat-level artifacts originally possessed by the Ahnenerbe and Thule Society. In particular, they are in possession of a Roman Lance claimed to be the "Spear of Longinus," a short-hafted hammer claimed to be "Mjolnir," and several other artifacts considered important to Abrahamic faiths. The authenticity of these artifacts, either from a historical or parathreat perspective, is uncertain. Standing Orders: Response Levels 2-3 by default. Active operations in progress are to be opposed when discovered. Although the destruction of historical artifacts is regrettable, Coalition operatives should not hesitate to destroy confirmed parathreat artifacts, if in the possession of this organization. Scarlet Hammer Scarlet Hammer are the remnants of the former KGB Division of Special Circumstances, responsible for maintaining and utilizing the former USSR's stockpile of paranormal threats. With the fall of the former Soviet Union, several high-ranking officials in the DSC absconded with high-level parathreats, selling them to various organized Russian crime syndicates. At present, Scarlet Hammer acts as the largest arms dealer for parathreat-level weaponry in the world. Structure: Scarlet Hammer's leadership remains anonymous: allegedly, the organization is led by a figure known only as "Viktor," believed to be the former Director of the Division of Special Circumstances. The organization is cell-based, with no known permanent base of operations. Resources: Scarlet Hammer funds itself by selling parathreat-level weaponry to criminal and military organizations around the world. Although their current stockpile is believed to be limited, a single sale can fetch several billion euros. The most recent known sale is a parathreat-grade gold-plated handgun seven years ago to an anonymous radical organization based in Yemen. Standing Orders: Maintain observation of the organization at Response Level 1. Report any known sales of parathreat weapons immediately, including item in question, payment, clientele, and location of sale. As Scarlet Hammer operatives regularly carry parathreat-level weaponry for self-defense, agents are ordered not to engage without direct orders from GOC leadership, except when required under a First Mission (Survival) imperative. The Serpent's Hand The Serpent's Hand is a paraenvironmental terrorist organization opposed to the UN's current policy of containing and destroying paranormal entities to maintain the status quo. Members are often parathreats themselves, and the organization makes the retrieval and integration of humanoid and sentient parathreats a priority. The Serpent's Hand has come into conflict with the GOC on multiple occasions, resulting in the deaths of multiple GOC operatives, and several complete cells. Structure: Unknown Resources: Unknown Standing Orders: Engage as soon as possible. All confirmed Serpent's Hand members are to be considered KTEs, Response Level 4, by default For most of human history, our species has been at the mercy of powers foreign to, and supposedly greater than, ourselves. Magical or religious, extraterrestrial or extradimensional, these parathreats have been the Damocles Sword hanging over the head of our species since the first apes came down from the trees - or out of the water, based on which evolutionary theory you ascribe to. No longer. Our species is now taking back control of our destiny. We are now at war with That Which Should Not Be: the Real fighting against the Unreal. And you, as a Coalition recruit, are one of the heroes who will serve a vital role in that war. This manual is not meant to be a comprehensive guide to parathreats. Reading it will not teach you how to defeat a physical god. That knowledge will come with time, and experience. Instead, it is meant to serve as a distillation of the fundamental principles learned by PHYSICS operatives since our founding in the late 1940s, broadly applicable in all parathreat scenarios. Think of it as the foundation upon which you will build your skills: broad, plain, largely invisible, but vital nonetheless. Five Precepts
- You are expendable. There are over six billion human beings living in the world today. You are one of them. Cold-hearted as it may be, given the choice between the two, humanity wins every time. Before anything else, you must come to terms with this fact: not only for yourself, but for your friends, family, and loved ones. If the time should come that you are asked to make the ultimate sacrifice, you must do so swiftly, resolutely, and without hesitation. A moment's delay could be disastrous.
- You are not disposable. The Coalition doesn't have limitless reserves. Our numbers are small enough, and the threats we face terrible enough, that we cannot afford to lose a single operative to accident or stupidity. Your life is a vital resource to be nurtured and husbanded, and if it must be spent, it must be used to maximum effectiveness before it is lost.
- Knowledge is power. The threats we face are numerous, and each one is unique. In order to combat them effectively, we must know what we are facing. Information, more than any bullet or blade, is our weapon, and we need as much of it as possible. Keep no secrets from your comrades or superiors. If you learn something, pass it on as soon as possible. If you are killed, your last act before dying should be to try to make sure someone knows how you died.
- Don't question it, just accept it. There are things you will never know. There are things that the human mind can't comprehend, and other things that you will simply never find out. If you obsess over the things you do not know, you will become distracted and lose focus. As much as you can, focus on the Here and the Now.
- You are only human. You will make mistakes. You will grow tired and weak. There will be moments when you act stupidly and other moments when you express unexpected brilliance. You cannot let failure allow you to fall into despair, or success to lead to arrogance. Down either path leads disaster. The Golden Rule Never work alone. PHYSICS Division uses six broad "Response Levels" indicating the priority of concern and general level of force authorized by the individual operative. Response Level 0: No Threat Keep under occasional observation. Do not engage without permission from Central Command, unless immediate First, Second, or Third Mission concerns arise. The majority of paranormal phenomena discovered by the GOC fall under this category, being mere curiosities rather than threats. As liquidation of said phenomena would not be worth expenditure of assets, these paranormal entities are left in place. Response Level 1: Minimal Threat Keep under continual observation. Do not engage unless immediate First, Second, or Third Mission concerns arise. In many cases, GOC operatives will be assigned to Response Level 1 phenomena on a permanent basis, either as observers or as liaisons in the case of sentient beings. These require constant supervision, but if properly isolated, have a minimal risk of Mission concerns. Response Level 2: Sub-Moderate Threat Keep under continual observation. Engage when convenient with minimal use of force. Response Level 2 is the first level of "parathreat," or paranormal phenomena determined to be a threat to the GOC's First through Third (Survival, Concealment, Protection) Missions, requiring a Fourth Mission (Destruction) response. In the case of Response Level 2, the primary threat is to the Second Mission (Concealment), requiring a subtle liquidation approach to avoid breaching secrecy. Response Level 2 missions are most often carried out by Assessment Teams or Special Observers, as employing Strike assets would be too high-profile. Response Level 3: Moderate Threat Keep under continual observation. Engage as soon as possible. Response Level 3 is reserved for those parathreats determined to fall under a Third Mission (Protection) threat, requiring immediate destruction to avoid danger to life and limb of civilians and bystanders. In this case, Second Mission (Concealment) concerns do exist, but should be considered secondary to Third Mission priorities. Response Level 3 missions are most often carried out by Assessment Teams with Strike backup in case of escalation. Response Level 4: Severe Threat Keep under continual observation. Engage as soon as possible. Excessive force authorized. At Response Level 4, severe Third Mission (Protection) concerns are present, including possible First Mission (Survival) priorities. Second Mission (Concealment) concerns are partially waived when any breaches can be dealt with in a localized manner. Fifth Mission (Education) requirements are also waived in cases where other Mission concerns supercede. Assessment Teams are not authorized to carry out Response Level 4 missions except in case of extreme emergency, except as backup and Overwatch for Strike assets. Response Level 5: Immediate Threat All operatives to engage on sight, using any means necessary. Second Mission (Concealment) concerns are fully waived. Strike Teams are authorized full use of Tangential Technology when dealing with Response Level 5 threats. In special cases, Third Mission (Protection) concerns may be waived in the case of a severe First Mission (Survival) concern. Response Level 5 Missions generally require multiple Strike and Assessment teams, as well as outside assets, whether from Coalition member bodies or non-Coalition organizations. Response Level 6: Pizzicato Procedure Pizzicato is the final Emergency Response Procedure, to be executed in case of Threat Entity Emergence at a massive level. Procedure Pizzicato is to be executed in the following instances. Commencement of any Eschatological Event Sequence past the Point of No Return. Failure by rival agency to maintain containment of their own Threat Entities. Emergence on a worldwide scale of a large number of Threat Entities, causing a worldwide Second Mission failure. Note that execution of Procedure Pizzicato will, by necessity, result in an irreversible Second Mission (Concealment) failure in order to allow for a First Mission (Survival) success. Third Mission (Protection) goals are secondary: normal avoidance of civilian casualties is to be second priority to maintaining Minimum Repopulation Margin among the survivors. Procedure Activate all sleeper units in rival agencies. Alert all allied government agencies and allied government officials. Mobilize all PHYSICS Teams. Publically acknowledge existence of Global Occult Coalition, existence of rival agencies, and existence of Threat Entities. Request for global martial law. Request worldwide protective curfew on all civilians. Establish and/or refresh KTE Termination Triage Sequences for all Threat Level 2 and 3 entities. Execute Termination Triage Sequences. Force Authorization Units are authorized to request and/or use any necessary force in execution of Termination Triage Sequences. All restrictions re: NBC weaponry, Memetic Cognitohazard Cascade Sequences, and Nanotech Grey Goo items withdrawn. All restrictions re: use of Tangential and Plus Generation Technologies withdrawn. Acceptable Collateral Damage: 90% of worldwide human population.
