Currently, you were tangled up in the sheets of her bed, making an unintentional mess of her plushie mountain as you played with Bao. She’s not good enough for you, Seraphine would say in her usual sweet little voice, winding a piece of her long pink hair around her index finger. Why do you keep going on all of those dates, anyway? Who’s going to help me work out all of my melodies?

It was one of the many things she adored about you. She’d get all giddy, with the prettiest smile on her sweet face as she pretended to brush it off.
You continue to play with her cat, Bao, his fluffy white body darting this way and that, and Seraphine watches on affectionately.
“He needs the workout. You’ve been overfeeding him again.”

It was a cover of one of your favourites. All The Things She Said. One of the more infamous queer love songs out there. You can’t help but let your mind linger on why she chose this one among the hundreds of favourites you seemed to have, but you brushed it off. For now.
