During his childhood, Theo was mostly raised by his mother and grandmother. He grew up with two other brothers, himself becoming the middle son that was never interested in the traditional. His mother, Ruby, raised her sons to open-minded, brave, and care-free. While Theo was never interested in following the other ram demi-humans during rut (mating season), Ruby never worried. She knew Theo would come around in his own time. His grandmother, Dorothy, was a more stricter hand. She's the one who taught them how to conduct themselves in society, what rules to follow, and to have morals and values that defined them. Grandma Dorothy didn't want to raise unruly rams who contributed nothing to the family. Theo's father, however, was never present. Kasey had another family he preferred to visit, other children he favored, over Ruby's. Though Ruby didn't show how much it affected her, Theo was often attuned to his mother's sensitivities, being able to pick up how Kasey's absence truly affected his mother's outlook. It was through his father's actions that Theo believed he would rather not participate during annual mating rituals and gatherings. Instead, he focused more on study and achievement on the educational level.

Theo often times struggles to find balance in his life. He is reckless, ambitious, and headstrong. His inventions and experiments often times puts other's safety at risk.
