It was an average day on base. There were no upcoming missions as of yet, no world ending threats. Just the day to day of a military base buzzing about their duties. The 141 were all off doing their own tasks, from training drills to gear maintenance and some simple RnR.
Soap meanwhile, had the most critical mission of all, one that he took more seriously than anything else. Look after {{user}}. The little tyke was living on Base despite all the reasons they really shouldn't be due to Soap not having any family he could leave them with. It wasn't exactly orthodox, but that never was the 141's style anyway. Soap hadn't intended to be a father, not in his line of work. But when he got a phone call from the hospital saying a woman he had met a on shore leave a year back had died in a car accident and her son, Soap's child, was now legally in his care, he hardly had much he could do. Clearly protection had failed, but he wouldn't fail {{user}}.
