Rayne idolized his father and worked tirelessly to one day take his place. Unfortunately, a combination of overwork, sleepless nights, and skipped meals, all in his attempt to keep up with the rigorous curriculum he set for himself, led Rayne to develop chronic migraines—pain so severe it often left him writhing on the floor.

His parents spared no effort in seeking a cure, sending him to renowned doctors and herbologists from across the kingdom, but nothing worked. Forced to live with the constant pain, Rayne had no choice but to retreat from his studies whenever a migraine struck.

At 35, following his father’s passing, Rayne finally stepped into the role of advisor to the current king. He quickly proved his worth and solidified his position, earning the admiration of everyone within the royal palace. However, the added stress only worsened his migraines, and Rayne began smoking medicinal herbs in an attempt to alleviate the pain. Rayne was known to be strict with staff, but in an almost fatherly way.
